I love Extra Market. I had Chopped Cheese. The bread was crispy and soft, just like a sandwich should be. The ingredients inside were so fresh, vegan beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, vegan mayo and ketchup. It was made to order, came out pretty darn fast and was hot. Extra Market has a New York feel to it. I sat at the counter so I could see my food being made on the grill. It was pretty darn cool. The owner, Jamie, is a really nice guy and he's passionate about what he does. There's even a market and store you can shop at during your visit. The bacon and eggs are homemade (maybe more, but I know those are for sure). I tried the bacon and it's the best I've ever had. I highly recommend Extra Market for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Like some others, I am the carnivore that was brought here by the vegan friend. My bestie was in town and wanted to try this vegan restaurant since we were in the area. It seems like a one-man show, with who I presumed is the owner taking our order and making our food. He was super nice and the interior is cute! Indoor and outdoor seating, with the majority of the indoor seating being bar-style. We ended up ordering the chopped cheese and bacon egg & cheese. I'll say it, I was surprised! The chopped cheese was very flavorful and my friend LOVED the bacon egg & cheese. The only reason for less than 5 stars is for a $20 meal, I was still hungry. Definitely worth checking out! **to the nice owner, please add a QR code menu to the front!!

Best vegan burger spot in LA. I crave this place...I've come 3x in two weeks. The cheeseburger is delicious and the customer service is always great. The food is reasonably priced. I've only had the burgers and fries but I'm curious about the rest of the menu. As a long time vegan, this place stomps a lot of places. Please don't ever close!! The only downside is the parking situation because it's on Fairfax- but it's worth it, I promise!

Ambiance and food is fantastic! Very clean and vibey spot for a quick grub. Employee was kind and quick.

Best in town hands down. I don't understand how this place doesn't have a line out the door. I've been here twice. This place is awesome. The customer service is great. My burger tasted really delicious. I like how the fries are thinly cut. They taste really good also. If this place was near my home, I'd eat here weekly. Ambiance is minimal, clean and simple. Overall it's a really nice place! Highly recommend it.

This place has been saved on yelp for so long and I finally got to stop by! I loved the decor and all the cute art that's put up, it's definitely a vibe. There's lots a seating, indoor and outdoor so you won't have to worry about that. The service is great, it's a welcoming place you could tell by all the other amazing reviews about Jamie. You could come here for great vegan bodega like food and even better conversation. The chop cheese is a must try, and you'll love the nostalgia of the frito pies. I enjoyed everything about this place I know you will too

Great place! Vegan Sandwiches and burgers tastes like meat! It is good solution for meat lovers like me! Healthy and delicious! Good service and clean restrooms.

chili cheese fries, definitely needed more chili. still bomb.

Came here last week with tomo and ordered chili cheese fries, hot chicken sandwich and the bacon, egg & cheese. Everything was bomb but I wish they put more chili on the fries. It was hard to pick which one was my fav but tomo loved the hot chicken sandwich. Also, the guy in the front is so nice and welcoming. Good place for some quick grub.

Nashville Fried chicken sandwich
Shahana ..

I HATE VEGAN FOOD. Hate it. Hate it. 95% of the time it's nasty. So i can confirm that this place is BOMBBBB!!!! Got the Nashville fried chicken sandwich! And a corn salad because they were out of potato (sad tears) Idk how but the sandwich legit looked just like real chicken. It was super flavorful and perfect. I'd hands down come back when I'm "being healthy" ;) but the sandwich itself was not spicy like other "Nashville" sandwiches I've had. Still SUPER good but not spicy. The corn salad was good but tasted like salsa so definitely needed chips or something. Customer service was super friendly and informative so I appreciated that!

Great vegan cheeseburger. Much better than the impossible whopper. Owner and his son worked on the recipe for awhile and achieved success.

I think I found my new favorite Thai place in Spicy Sugar Thai - MidCity!…read moreYou may not think you're in the right placing looking at the red motel, but it's a total hidden gem in Mid City. Service is excellent here and I recommend dining in for optimal dining experience. However, all my leftovers were still fire, as well. I would recommend getting all of these dishes: *~Green Curry Dumpling ($12) - This may be a sleeper hit but the green curry surrounding the steamed veggie dumplings is a nice level of spicy and just makes my mouth watering thinking about this appetizer. *~Crispy Duck Rolls ($14) - They're fresh & feel so refreshing to eat with a few pieces of roasted duck inside and their fresh Thai slaw with some hoisin sauce, all wrapped in rice paper and lettuce, of course. I'm obsessed with this appetizer, as well! *~Pad Thai Meltdown ($22) - This is the most fun spin on pad thai of all time! I'm a basic girl and goodness do I love pad thai. Well their recipe is absolutely delicious ~ but this dish has melted cheese on top, as well! It's not as weird as it sounds, it's actually amazing just making the dish taste more creamy, not really cheesy tasting. My only disappoint was they are supposed to grate & melt the cheese tableside and that didn't happen. I went on a busy lunch though so I'm assuming that's why we didn't get the tableside show! Maybe next time! *~Chef Katt's Special Fried Rice ($18) - If you're going to get a fried rice, this classic Thai one may be the one to get with sweet Thai sausage slices and bacon pieces throughout. Loved this fried rice! Honestly, this was the best Thai food I've had in ages! They are adding little spins on dishes to make them fresh and new, and most importantly - delicious! I'll be back soon!

Pad see ew: (7.5/10) a classic. Not the best I've had but it was good! 3. Blood clam papaya salad (6/10): I love blood clams but these were a little too ocean-y for my taste. The amount of papaya salad was also very sparse. Probably would just go for regular papaya salad next time. Service is also great - they are very attentive. The location is next to a motel but there is plenty of street parking.

I ordered the Classic…read moreCheeseburger--it's a Beyond Burger, but the kitchen gives it this subtle, flavorful upgrade that leaves most of the uninspired vegan burgers I've had on my travels in the dust. It's easily my new go-to. Pro tip: Since I was ordering delivery, I called the restaurant directly right after placing it to ask if they'd leave the patty on the grill just a touch longer than usual. They were so sweet about it and executed it flawlessly. Also, can we talk about the coleslaw? I usually steer clear of restaurant slaw because so many places drown it in heavy, uninviting mayo. But Sunshine absolutely delivered. Their dressing is beautifully light and slightly sweet--honestly, it makes an amazing burger topping. So many vegan spots rely way too heavily on processed, hyper-engineered faux meats and cheeses. This place strikes such a lovely, authentic balance. You can get a genuinely vibrant, healthy bowl, or dive into comfort food classics like their mean vegan chicken sandwich--and I hear the sweet potato fries are a fantastic side, too. To top it all off, the female owners are absolute gems. Even over the phone, they treat everyone with this effortless, warm hospitality that makes you feel like an old friend. It's just great energy all around. Check them out!

Refreshing, bright, and it hits the spot every time. The service is fast and friendly, and I've never had to wait, making it even easier to keep coming back. I also just discovered they offer cooking classes, which makes me love this place even more. Healthy, delicious, and full of life. Definitely a go-to.

After my family and I visited the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, I wanted to stop somewhere for…read moreice cream, but my kids wanted something to drink like a smoothie or boba. Another criteria they were looking for was a nice place to hang out. We ended up deciding on Green Table Cafe because my daughter said that this cafe sold smoothies and it was a cute place based on the pictures she saw online. Once we got to the cafe, it had an inviting vibe and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly, but I wasn't a fan of the Chocotino smoothie and the table we sat at was not cleaned prior to us sitting there. Green Table Cafe is located in Los Angeles specifically on Pico Blvd. and Stearns Drive. It's next to an India Spices & Groceries store and it's across the street from CVS. Parking is mainly street parking and we found a metered parking spot across the street that didn't cost too much. Once we entered the cafe, we were greeted by small red car that someone could win if you participate in their $20/ticket raffle and a welcome greeting from the gentleman behind the counter. It's definitely a cute and inviting place with a large painted sentence "Love what you do Do it with LOVE" on the wall behind the counter. There are other inspirational wall art scattered around the restaurant. There are floral decorations throughout, wooden slat ceiling, natural light, and other accents that match the vibe. There are round marble tables with blue velvet and blue plastic chairs, a skinny wooden table with a sofa, and there are covered outdoor seating. Not sure if the gentlemen behind the counter was the owner or manager, but he was customer service oriented and was friendly to every customer who entered the cafe. My review is solely based on the smoothie I ordered because that's all I experienced. If we ever visit again, I would like to try their food and desserts because the desserts and pastries looked enticing. The description of their savory food on their menu made them sound delicious, but I won't know until I try. Based on its name, the verbiage on the menu, and what I drank, it appears Green Table Cafe is for the healthy conscious consumer. Their menu consists of coffee drinks, smoothies, superfood bowls, salads, and burgers/paninis. The words gluten-free, kale, quinoa, acai, hemp milk, and mint extract hearken to someone with a vegan diet. I'm a carnivore and I like to eat whatever I enjoy, so I'm probably not their target customer. I ordered their Chocotino smoothie and I wasn't a fan from the first sip to the last. The Chocotino is made with almond milk, banana, cacao, protein powder, rolled oats, almond yogurt, dark chocolate, peppermint oil, and goji berries. It leaned heavily on a peppermint taste and when I let my daughter taste it, she said it reminded her of a York peppermint patty candy. I definitely was not a fan and I almost brought it back to exchange, but I kept hoping it would taste better. I stirred it with my straw, but it didn't change my disdain for this smoothie. My kiddos got the smoothies they craved and a place that was a cool place to hang out. I didn't enjoy my smoothie, but that's what parents do. We make sacrifices for our kids.
