I've had no issues with security but did have one rate hike and today I was called because my payment was late. I was unaware of this because I've been on auto pay since the beginning. I immediately gave them payment and the monthly fee was $34 more than usual because they applied a late fee. When I asked if they could waive the fee since this was the 1st time, they refused. This place has had a broken overhead door since at least August 13, 2025. They charge way over-market for a half-working system. Cars get stuck between each other, you need to get out in the rain to open the door, and you either can't turn around or you must backward drive to exit. Don't rent here. And if you do, leave. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN!! Less than 3 months into renting a unit they nearly doubled our rate. What the..!? Talk about bait and switch!! I'm happy to review Extra Space Storage in Lowry. My daughter and I needed to store some personal items for a few months to make way for remodeling, and ESS was convenient for us. The signup was easy, with lots of help from the staff regarding payments, policies, keys, the location of the storage space. The facility was surprisingly clean and allowed us to park inside while loading and unloading. It was quite secure - we met one of the security staff when we were there one night late (it's open to 10pm). I would use the Extra Space Storage again. read more

Update: We continue to be big fans of this Extra Space Storage location. The new on-site manager, Amanda, is great. We did have an issue and she graciously and efficiently helped us resolve it. ================ We love this place. We've stored business and personal items here for about two years [now more than five years] and the customer service is superb. Extra space is a total scam. If I could curse on here I'd use all the words multiple times. I was at a great storage facilty $95/month. I got it in 2020. Extra Space bought them out - they also bought out my mom's and sister's storage space small comapnies as well. I know pay $229/month! my moms? - $330! my sisters? $295! They're AWFUL for doing this. There is NO reason to jack them up that high. I don't want to hear any excuse of "oh inflation" and that BS - you don't raise your prices 100+%. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm wokring on getting us 3 OUT - of all three. I'd rather have all my stuff sitting in my living room than rent a unit with this company. Aside from the price - even $220 is ridiculous for a 10x10 - to raise the prices like that - with no real notice, you just get a letter in the mail about the increase - is not a company I want to support. You guys suck, you're awful, you totally take advantage of people who are already struggling. Absolutley ridiculous. DO NOT RENT A UNIT WITH THEM. chances are though, wherever you do rent a unit - they'll probably buy them out and you'll see! read more

DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS HERE!!! My unit and a large number of other units were broken into. They advertise themselves as secure storage but it is obviously anything but secure. Whoever broke into my unit was easily able to gain access. All they had to do was climb up and over by pusing past the roof insulation and remove the hasp with a simple socket set from inside the unit. There are no cameras facing my unit and on the entire path from my unit to a side exit. Extra Space doesn't care to make you whole, and will just push it to an insurance matter. In my case and everyone else's that I've spoken to, the measily insurance they offer doesn't even come close to covering the value of the items we all had stolen. I also lost family heirloom items that I inherited that I will never be able to replace. Good luck getting Denver PD to do anything about it also. I waited for over 4 hours to never have an officer show and do a report. I had to go to the station the next day to fill out a report and they didn't care to do forensics or even look at the cameras. The value and the nature of the items stolen, you would think Denver PD would take more of an interest in doing investigative work. I warn anyone that still has their items here to promptly remove them. These break-ins continue to happen and Extra Space has done nothing to mitigate their glaring security flaws. read more

This is an extremely clean and new facility. It's great to have the spaces inside, especially with winter on the way. Shane is very professional and made sure we got the space we needed. I'd definitely recommend this storage facility to a friend. The only down side is that it's more expensive than others that would have been a drive to get to. Convenience has it's price. read more

Super clean, in fact while I was there the facility was audited. The guy who helped me was great- friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They also email you when they receive payment- just one added bonus. AND its right next to several bars and eateries. Store your stuff then have a burger n a beer. read more

Scumbags! They lock you in at a cheap price. Then after 5 months, they increase your rate. They know you most likely do not want to move your stuff to another storage facility so they know your trapped and take advantage of you by increasing the rate. They also damage your locks by putting stickers on them and claim this is an "industry standard." They nickel and dime you and take trash to you through Email. The Facility Manager is a tool and obviously never did anything with his life, that's why he works at a storage facility. read more

I have used this facility for 2 years and have nothing but good things to say about this place and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a safe, secure and convenient place to store their personal items. It is rare these days to receive good customer service and when I had a problem, Steve and Kristin were there to help resolve in a timely matter. They never once gave me any attitude and made sure to keep me updated on the progress of my matter. My situation could have been a SHITuation and being out of state I was worried. I am extremely happy with how quickly this company, their staff and my time was able to resolve my issue and I look forward to my continued business with this location. I needed to store some furniture for 6 weeks, starting in Mid January. Shannon told me when I moved in that I needed to prepay each month. She then said that when I moved out halfway through the prepaid period I would be pro-rated back a refund. When I made my last payment (2/13-3/12) I told Christopher that I would be moving out on 3/1.....he told me to come in on that day and I would receive a pro-rated refund. I moved out yesterday, and when I visited the office for my pro-rated refund, Christopher was hostile and bluntly repeated over and over "I don't do refunds". Duplicitous. read more
