The lease from Public Storage prohibits storing property with a value exceeding $5,000 in a single unit, regardless of any insurance the tenant elects to carry. I struggle to see how a customer could reasonably fill a 10×15 unit at today's purchasing power without exceeding that threshold. Management was either unwilling or unable to modify this provision, or the related prohibition on storing irreplaceable items, even though the lease separately limits Public Storage's liability to $5,000. If Public Storage wishes to limit its financial exposure, the liability limitation clause already accomplishes that objective. Provisions that instead prohibit tenants from storing more than $5,000 worth of property--or any irreplaceable items--transform what appears to be an allocation of risk into a lease compliance issue, exposing customers to remedies up to and including termination despite having assumed the risk themselves. Public Storage should remove these enterprise-wide prohibitions and rely on its liability limitation provisions instead. Alternatively, if the company intends to enforce these restrictions as written, it should reconsider offering units as large as 10×15, as it is difficult to imagine their intended use without exceeding the stated limits. Until these provisions are changed, I cannot rent from Public Storage. Entering into a contract that I would not realistically be able--or intend--to comply with is inconsistent with my own ethical standards. read more

Their online portal will not accept my CC and I am constantly being charged a late fee every month because of it. They also require you to have insurance for the unit, which I have and have provided to them 3 times now, and I still have to pay $15 extra per month for their insurance. Marina is the manager of the facility she was excellent helping me with my questions and concerns. She even helped me direct and escort me to my unit. This newer location is climate controlled and conveniently located to I225 and I25. Because the occupancy is low the price is bit cheaper than other locations. Check online daily because prices change and you can lock in your rate without commitment. Online price is always cheaper than in store. Absolutely deplorable service! I will be telling everyone I know to pull what they have from public storage and go somewhere else, I have never been harassed like I was here. I'm not sure if it's because I look "alternative" with piercings and tattoos, but there is absolutely no reason I had to pay for an extra hour with my movers, purely so the front desk lady can chase me around calling me a liar and a thief, simply for moving out of my unit! She disabled my door codes, and when I told her I need them enabled she did so, only to stand in front of the doors and try to physically block my movers as well as myself from entering my unit and retrieving my belongings. I then got a notification from Public Storage saying, "thank you for moving out, your review will be processed" which I had not done. Leaving me to believe she moved me out in the system, and completed her own move out review, knowing mine would not be pleasant. I had run into her one time before, on the day I was moving into my unit. She looked inside of my unit and made snide remarks about my personal belongings and furniture. I've NEVER had the people working at the storage unit, go through my things, let alone comment on my things to my face. In the end, she cost me $150, a panic attack, and so much time on the one day off I had scheduled to get my things moved. I will never return, and urge everyone to look elsewhere for storing their belongings. read more

Both good and bad with this business. The good is the location is right off I25 and 225 at the Denver Tech Center. The building is clean and security is great. The employees are friendly and helpful. The bad is the price you see online is not what you will actually pay in your initial visit. What they don't tell you is that although they offer the first month for $1, you will end up paying much more. There is a $24 move-in fee, a $20 charge for the lock (required and they tell you that you get to keep it. Great...it most likely can never be used anywhere else, as it is a cylinder lock and there are very few places it could be used), and they require insurance at a minimum of $11 per month; of course from their insurance company. So, our first month rent for a dollar ended up costing us $56. We had to have our insurance company fax a letter stating we were covered and then they refunded the $11. Without insurance, they won't let you rent a unit. The fact that they don't tell you about these charges is completely unfair to the consumer. Know, before you go. read more

My computer wasn't working and when I was going to be late on my payment she was nice enough to call and remind me so I didn't incur a late fee, it doesn't get better than than that. The staff are really nice, but I doubt growing pot in a storage unit is legal. They allow this to happen here and it reeks most of the time. Other than that the facility is clean but harder to get into than Fort Knox. Maybe that is to protect the marijuana. read more

We have been here for years. During that time it has gone up $40. This evening we went to our unit. All exterior doors were up. Sliding doors didn't require a pass code. Elevator didn't require a passcode. In our unit moths are everywhere and have destroyed a rug. read more

Had issues from day 1. Reserved with an online promotion, but arrived (with a truckload of boxes) to find out additional fees nearly doubled what I expected to pay. The biggest issues was a lack of communication. I left 3 voicemails to ask a question about move-out costs, with no reply. Whether you call the 800- or 303- number, you go to the automated system and never speak to a human. I was also locked out of the building with my unit unlocked because no where on or in the building did it post the hours you can access. I got in but when I went to get s second load the building was locked. I later found it on the website there were access hours and the building was locked down. Even though it lists that there is a property manager on site, there was no way to get a hold of them. I would not use Public Storage again and would not recommend it to anyone else. Units are not very secure and the management is flaky and rude. The lighting a minimal and there is no onsite security. Outside of office hours you're lucky to get someone on the phone if you have an emergency. Things are broken they are always "putting in a work ticket" but things never get fixed. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

I am very impressed with this facility. Not only is it clean, well-lit, and spacious, the people managing it are very kind and respectful. I think it was Tom's first day and I must say, he did great! He was very courteous to start and was up front about pricing and fees, which is what I needed to hear. As I moved in, any questions I had, they were very kind and patient in answering. When you are moving and everything is chaos, you need kind people to help you with these decisions and you really have no time for games, this facility is great! read more

Someone got a hold of me after I made a review on here. She was very nice and understanding of everything. She even tried to get me to stay with Public Storage but after I said no she didn't push which I was thankful for. Even after talking to someone I still have to pay the late fees, even though it wasn't my fault the site wasn't working. It's up today though so thankfully my things are safe until at least the end of next month. I really do recommend trying a mom and pop storage place if you can handle the extra drive. When thye give you a price that price is solid. No surprise charges and they wont hassle you non-stop if you might need an extra day to get a payment to them. read more
