The price gouging is absolutely insane. Had stuff in storage here for 2 years, the first manger assured that our price would be locked in. When the price went up and we called, we were told that manager no longer works there and he lied to us. Rather than apologizing and taking accountability for a manager that THEY chose to hire, they pretty much said kick rocks‍ price has risen at least 2x if not 3x in the 2 years storing stuff there. Facility really isn't maintained all that well either. Quality has only gone down as the price just keeps going up. read more

I'll begin by saying the manager (Chris) at this location is very professional and very courteous. The compliments end there. BUYER BEWARE! These price increases are outrageous. They raise your rate with no notice, A LOT! Then, you search online and their web rates for new customers is almost half of what I am paying just four months in. When you call to see if they will honor that price for their existing customers you have to actually move out. So, I politely call corporate and the work from home "storage specialist" informs me she cannot escalate my call to corporate since she has never even spoken to a manager. "We just work from home, take the calls and follow the rules." If you have a choice, rent from some other company who values their customers. read more

I have been using this location for storage for three years now. Every time i have been there during operating hours, the staff has been friendly and responsive to anything i need. I have a storage facility two minutes from my house but will continue to go the extra 10 to come to this one. Its quieter, cleaner and overall a stress free environment. The only issue has been their contracted snow cleaning and dumpster schedule. Often scarce or very minimal effort. This is no fault of the storage staff and they try their best to accommodate around it. Hopefully it improves. read more

Constant battle with company raising prices each month. Raised prices 50% very next month after I moved in. Backed off for a bit, and just raised 10% a month, but now just raised prices 30%. so in one year, I am paying double original move in (advertised) rate! BUYER BEWARE! read more

The service is what makes the big difference here. It is outstanding. There are weather controlled and non weather controlled. The larger one with ac etc is a bit pricey. The smaller ones are very fairly priced. read more

Based on a job relocation to Maryland and having to rent our house in CT, we need the right amount of space to store our "stuff" while we contemplated our next move. Working with the staff at Extra Space, we were able to find the right amount of space (we were thinking smaller, but after they heard what we wanted to store and, moreover, that we might need to get in and out on a regular basis, the ES team suggested a slightly larger space. Gotta hand it to them, they were right!) for the right amount of money. Getting in and out of the facility is secure and easy at any time (actually went there at 3:00am because my wife was SURE she left something there - she didn't). Probably the best recommendation is after Hurricane Irene decided to blow through CT, we went out to make sure everything was okay. No damage, no water, nothing. From Diane, the manager, to the entire staff, so far this has been an extremely positive experience. Forced to move the contents of a family member's household possessions due to fire damage, they were able to accomodate us with the right size storage units, which are climate controlled, to ensure the integrity of the furnishings. Moreover, their security is excellent from the controlled gate to their monitoring personally. I was amazed to get a call that I had put my lock on incorrectly and although the unit looked locked, I had not slide the latch over correctly and it could be accessed. No one would have ever known that, but the fact is, they are watching over units to ensure everything looks safe and secure. So far, this is the one entity where everything has gone according to plan and without any drama. Thank you so much for your professionalism!!! read more

We rented the unit for about a year and a half before we decided to sell some of it and move the rest into our home. We needed to get something out of the back corner which was quite difficult given the unit was full. It took a lot of maneuvering but once we got back there we realized a dresser and a desk that were back there had water damage. We notified the front desk and they came out to the unit to take photos of the damaged items and gave us information to submit a claim. We don't know if we will get replacement value back or not yet, the items were in like new condition. We talked to the front office about the fact that we had not been given a safe dry place to store our belongings as promised and thought we should be due back some sort of refund. Not only did they refuse to give us back any money but they offered us another unit, not climate controlled like we had and told us moving was our responsibility. Not only is this place expensive but they obviously don't care about their customers. It is outrageous to me that they would not make some accommodation. They knew about the leak issue, never informed us, and then don't take any responsibility. NOT HAPPY!!! read more
