I was able to get the units I needed in the time frame I was looking for. I have to say that it was the team work between Josh and Ell that made that happen. Josh assisted and was able to find the units that were becoming available. He and Ell made this process such a delight when I was expecting it to be somewhat stressful with the time frame I had. Not only was this experience a breath of fresh air, but it continued each time I was at the facility. The maintenance and care of the facility is just as nice. Each time I have made a trip to my unit I see all of the crew doing something around the facility and each time they make eye contact and greet you with a smile. Josh was painting on one occasion and stopped what he was doing to acknowledge me and say good morning. You do not get this kind of acknowledgment anywhere these days and when you do it's definitely recognized. Thank you Josh, Ell and the other extremely kind and helpful maintenance helper that all I can remember is he has been with them for 4 years . I didn't want to get his name wrong. They wrapped his things up and provided furniture covers before putting his things into the truck. We met them at his storage unit and when we thought the storage unit would be too small, they looked it over and said they could fit everything. They meticulously maneuvered everything into our unit and got it all to fit! Because of this, they saved us from having to pay more money for a larger unit. We honestly had a good experience from start to finish and are greatly appreciative for their assistance. Plus, their pricing was incredibly reasonable. We will definitely be using them again.

While the crew arrived on time, there were only three movers instead of the four that were expected. I was then charged an additional $120 for an extra hour. One of the movers openly admitted that he had been out all night and was exhausted, which was evident in his performance throughout the move. The most frustrating part is that I moved into a brand-new construction home, and the movers caused significant damage. They put holes in my walls and scratched my stairs. I understand that minor scuffs can happen during a move, but these were deep gashes and holes that require repair. Before the crew left, I brought the damage to the attention of the lead mover. He told me not to worry and said I could file a claim using the claim number on my receipt. Since then, I have called multiple times and have not received a single callback. I had a great experience in the first half of my process with CityStash when my things were collected for storage. They weren't the most professional team, they bumbled around and were rushing, apologizing for knocking things into walls but never stopped rushing. That said, they were good, kind people and I was happy to look past a little damage-free klutziness. When it came time to have my things delivered, the situation went south quickly. At the very end, I think possibly even after my delivery window, I got a call saying they were running late and hadn't even picked up my things from the warehouse to be delivered. I had been calling the main line for updates but didn't get a call back for hours, long after they would have known they wouldn't make it within the delivery window. Again, while it was annoying and could have been handled better, these things happen and I was willing to look past it. The delivery was finally made about 7pm and the movers again arrived flustered and rushed through the process, again banging into things and dinging walls. I assured them it was no big deal and not to worry, I understood sometimes life goes wrong. Once they had finished putting everything in the house, they let me know they had misplaced the specific hardware to reassemble a major piece of bedroom furniture - dresser with attachable mirror. I was told they would collect new screws from Home Depot and see me "first thing in the morning," calling me about an hour before they arrived. The next day I waited until 11 before I began calling, again waiting hours for a callback. This is when I began to get frustrated. When the owner finally called me back around 4pm, he said to me: "I don't know who told you that or why, but that was never going to happen." After exercising a healthy dose of patience and understanding through this, I had now taken not one but two unnecessary days off of work and a snarky remark from he business owner was the last thing I wanted to hear. Two full days later, the job was complete beginning on Tuesday and ending on Friday. The owner will likely be surprised by this review, though I'm not sure why. I clearly communicated my frustrations and he took little to no responsibility for the issues, blaming everything largely on the team he had sent in. When he wasn't blaming his team, he was all but shrugging his shoulders at me. While they certainly were part of the problem, my real grievance rests with him, who handled the situation with the grace and professionalism of a kindergartner in a boardroom. I was refunded $35 for the over half of a week of inconvenience, which perhaps was more insulting than no acknowledgement at all.

The lead mover saw that I had multiple $20 bills amounting to hundreds of dollars. I laid some of the $20s in piles on my vehicle dashboard and counted out the cash to the amount that I owed, rounded to the nearest $20. When I gave him the money to count, he gave a fake sigh and shook his head and said I was $40 short. I didn't believe him and asked him to count again. He said I owed $40 more. So, I gave it, but I felt lied to. After that, I still tipped them smh. I shouldn't have. He left and I recounted all my money. Now I was short $40, meaning if we subtracted what I owed to them from what I withdrew from the ATM and also subtracted the tip, I should not be missing extra $40. I did the math multiple times and brought it up to Susan and the company. They accused me of lying and trying to steal from THEM. Susan said "it's only $40! I'll just send you a check. It's only $40." (Mover's name here) later texted me and apologized and said he got confused. He said when he counted the money, he set the $40 aside in his sock because it was tip. That's why he asked for $40 more. That doesn't make sense? When he counted the money in front of me, he never put any money in his sock. He just counted the money and looked me dead in the eyes and said I owed $40 more. I also didn't include tip until AFTER he said I owed $40 more and we settled what I owed first. Susan, the reason why I didn't pick up when you called today (8/10/26) is because you showed me months ago that you are argumentative and not interested in listening to me or believing me. I was also charged a fuel fee for a move that was only 0.3 miles away, which felt completely unreasonable. On top of that, my final bill nearly doubled from the original estimate. I was charged approximately $350 for packing supplies even though I had already purchased and provided my own tape and wrapping materials and placed them in each room for the movers to use. I even have photos documenting this. When I questioned the charges, I was first told there was a misunderstanding and then told the supplies "weren't seen." Despite me clearly communicating that my own supplies were available, the movers chose to use company materials anyway. While I understand charges for sofa covers and a TV box, one of my smaller TVs had already been wrapped and I specifically stated it did not need to be boxed. They proceeded anyway and charged me for it. The most upsetting part was feeling pressured to pay the full amount before my belongings would be unloaded. After reviewing everything afterward, I truly do not believe the charges were fair or transparent. I gave the company an opportunity to resolve this professionally before posting this review, but the lack of communication and accountability has been frustrating. Customers deserve honesty, professionalism, and fair pricing -- unfortunately, that was not my experience.
