First, with a positive, the follow up and customer service is great. It has to be, due to the following comments listed. 2. Moved a 1 bedroom apt( bedframe , mattress, dresser , 2 TVs , and a sofa), and it took 5 hours , with a locked elevator , in the same building, separated by 2 floors.Everything additional was boxed or bagged. No loose items. 3. They attempted to change the charges the day of the move , even though we had confirmed less than 24 hours prior. Claimed the 3rd person Was due to their double booking, snow , etc . And the additional man would speed up the process . Did i mention this simple 1 bedroom move took 5 hours for an in building, one bedroom transfer? Does that seem expedited ? Everything was a group effort, and teaching moment. this slowed the move down. For example, it Took 20 minutes of discussion to figure out how to disassemble a bed frame efficiently . Constantly going back and forth to the moving truck on the clock ( for what idk ) . If not watched , disappearing for 15-20 minutes at a time . 4. I was advised that I could leave my dresser items in the drawers, and they could move them efficiently. I now have to find someone to take my dresser apart, due to items some how making their way to inside unreachable areas insiders dresser. 5. I have to find someone to reassemble my sofa. They didn't put it back together. 6. You're charged 30 minutes to and from . So, you owe an hour before they start . They didn't have to leave the property, but charged me fuel . How do you charge someone fuel, and time for arrival, and departure ? Seems like the rate is only labor . You're also charged for any items used to rap to transport furniture . The intimation that they try to give you when you book is that is inclusionary. 7. With a discount, A DISCOUNT, this move cost me $1,000. Between the random 3rd man up charge , wrapping items for the large furniture , fuel charge , insurance that they make you cover that they don't disclose until the last minute that is almost $200 additional ... 8. Moved my items into the hallway, and left them there unattended while moving. 9. Even if you pay by phone, they want you to write your credit card information on a random piece of paper. It's a hard NO, for me. Yes, I signed, and let them go about their business. It's exhausting to keep debating obvious discrepancies, and hidden fees during a move which is a top 3 stressor in general. Just .... Don't . Use someone else .

I booked my move a week in advance and paid a $100 deposit after being told it would guarantee my moving date and secure my spot. Then, only 3 days before my scheduled move, the manager -- I believe his name was David -- called to tell me they were fully booked for the entire week and that my move would either need to be rescheduled or canceled altogether. I made it very clear from the beginning that my apartment lease ends on the 31st and that I needed to move before then. Had this company been honest about the fact that paying a deposit did not actually guarantee service, I would have hired another moving company much earlier. Now I'm left scrambling at the last minute, despite having everything planned out. I also have to report to work in another state on the 1st, so this has created a major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, speaking with them on the phone was a complete disaster. The communication was unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable. They agreed to refund the $100 deposit, but that does not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and potential consequences this situation may cause me. If I receive penalties from my landlord for a late move-out or face any employment-related consequences because of this company's failure to honor their commitment, I will absolutely be exploring all possible legal and consumer protection options.

I have concerns about ethical practices in this store. Over Christmas, I witnessed employees…read moreoutright lie to other customers about the cheapest option to ship a package; multiple people balked at the quoted price, reiterated they wanted the cheapest option without regard to timing, and were still met with very high quotes. I was as well, and I received the same "nope, this is cheapest" response--but after I pushed, the employee finally relented that there was another option (less than half the cost!) but "delivery date isn't guaranteed." As I'd already confirmed, I didn't need a guaranteed delivery, so I took that cheapest option. Today I witnessed something similar. A customer was trying to ship a small box (perhaps 8x12x4-pretty standard Amazon-ish box) and was told the cheapest price was upwards of $240!! He confirmed that was the cheapest price, and asked to see the screen--at which point the employee conceded "well there's this option that isn't guaranteed but estimated for Thursday..." Same old song and dance. The customer declined to pay, stating when he checked online, the estimate was $14. The employee responded "yeah, that might only be when YOU print the label." WTF?? The customer left. At my turn, my label "wouldn't scan" and they suggested I print another one (printing starts at $3.50, per the sign at their desk); I declined. I plan to take my package to another store and see if it scans there (it's a pre-printed return label, not like a half-hazy home inkjet print), and $5 says they have no issues at another store It's such a shame because this location is so convenient, but I've seen enough sketchiness to go elsewhere from now on.

The delivery people could not figure out how to get it up so we contacted several moving companies in the hopes of finding someone. David at TPC Transportation came through for us. He rented a lift and brought it in through the upstairs window over the front porch. He and his partner did an exceptional job, going out of their way to contact several rental companies before finding a reasonable one. They wrapped the headboard so there was no damage and removed and put the windows back for us. We would highly recommend them for any move, but especially for those ones that need inventive solutions. They did great.

As an addendum - after arriving late, they decided to make a stop in between locations. On our 7-8 mile move they arrived 1 hour after us - we left at the SAME time.
