We found an online promo for storage here and made an online reservation just yesterday and already got a call today. I'm so glad we came. We spoke with Patricia (on site live in property manager) who was sweet as pie and even nicer in person! Very helpful and informative. Answered all our questions or concerns. Facilities are very clean and secure. We love that we can access our unit until 10 p.m. They do not offer any military or law enforcement discount at this time but still good price. I world definitely recommend this extra space storage to others. I cannot emphasize the importance of customer service, especially for me. Patricia exceeded our expectations. read more

I have had the similar issue many others have had. I signed in with an internet cost of 118.00 in November 2023, by March 2024 My rental fee is 208.00. Very deceptive practice to bring people in at a low rate only to nearly double the rate after they have already moved in. I would not have taken this deal if I had known. Disappointed that the 10x15 that was advertised is actually a 10x14. They say that's what the mom n pop place EXTRA SPACE bought up said the spaces were. I call it false advertising. Plus I have oil or some chemical seeping in through the wall. Apparently they have bought up a bunch of mom n pop storages and doubled the rents. Not an appealing company profile. These guys are on top of their game. I especially love that I was able to call the main national line and have a very helpful person do a lot of research for me on different locations and cost across the board, and he put in a placeholder reservation to me, no obligation. Then the rep in the store sent me a quick email message as a follow up. and the icing on the cake was Patricia in the store who was absolutely amazing, with a great attitude, and super helpful. she even fixed the door of the unit we're going to get when she only had a half an hour left and got it all dialed in for us. I would say 4 stars on the accessibility of all the units BUT overall I got a web deal and within 3 months the rent increased by 70%, what a joke! I had called and asked what it would increase to after the "promo" was over and most of all them maybe do 50% but THEY usually state that online. They stabbed us in the back by more than doubling our monthly rent from $80 to $180. For a 5x10 shoe box. They actually told us they decided to squeeze everyone because they realized they are one of only 2 storage facilities in the area. They obviously have no respect for their customers. I saw some of the other reviews and I couldn't not post about this place. I had a spot at the Extra storage on Forest St for about 6 months. The only reason we left was because we moved. The customer service there is ABOVE THE REST. A lady by the name of Kristina helped get me and my family into the perfect space for an amazing price. I think the other lady working there was Patricia. Other reviews are correct, well partially correct. A few months into renting we did get notified that there was going to be an increase in our rent. It was around Christmas and there was no way we could have afforded it. But again Kristina did an excellent job at getting that fixed right away. I think it took her a day or two to get back to us. All you have to do is ask. No matter where you go, every storage company gives their renters an increase in their rent and most places won't adjust it, here they do. Since I'm on the topic of costs; I've stored at places that charge a bunch of different fees, fees for everything. A fee if you get locked out or lose your keys, a fee if you can't remember your code, fees to pay your bill over the phone, fees for everything. But not here. During our time there we were never charged a fee other than our rent and insurance. I had to have them cut my lock off because one of our kids lost the key and they took care of it no problem. Of course I had to buy a lock (it didn't have to be their lock) but that's common sense. Aside from costs, the place is clean ALL OF THE TIME. They don't have homeless or sketchy people hanging around. We always felt safe and confident in leaving our stuff . So if you're debating on whether or not to rent here, make sure you do your homework instead of reading posts by people that don't have all of the information. This is a great place, in a great location, employed by great people. I, 100%, without a doubt would rent here again. Thank you ladies for making our stay at Extra Space a pleasant one. I've used other storage facilities but felt the need to write a review, given my experience at extra space storage. Patricia was helpful from the first time I arrived. She even gave me a name of a mover that helped me move my things into storage. He was very reasonable and did an excellent job. Today I completely vacated the storage. If I could give this place zero stars I would!!! Since they have taken over they have sent us no notifications of the buy out and most recently the price change which is significant and that you have to pay a whole 30 days prior to your due date. Oh and they also do not take your money unless it's whatever their computers tell them to. I have 3 friends and family that have units there and we will all be moving out and hiring a lawyer to sue them. DO NOT RENT HERE!! Their policies change and they do not notify you. read more

I have been at this location since 2008, some people say why do you pay fir storage you could bought all that stuff 20 times over, my response Do you have a garage? Do you make house payments? The facility is clean and well maintained. But the staff is what deserves a five star review. Patricia has gone above and beyond every time we have needed help. I wish I could give no stars were should I begin OK so I had a big argument with one of the employees by the name of Patricia she is so rude does not help at you at all I sent my sister to give a payment which I was late one week I pay 399 for my unit so I gave my sister 400 dollars because I had checked a day before and it had no late fee so when my sister goes the next day PATRICIA did not take the payment saying they can't take partial payment I told my sister OK that's not partial payment just go and pay and I will take the late feel tomorrow I call Patricia up telling her it was not partial that I would pay my late fee but to take my 400 dollars because knowing me if I carry cash I would spend it well she said no she said I would have to wait until June to give my may payment and June that is so ridiculous they are so money hungry they did not want to take my 400 dollars because I was not paying my late fees which I did not have with me but was going to pay the next day this is so ridiculous I then called her we both were arguing over the phone she was very rude she wasn't Letting me talk she kept interrupting she clearly knew who I was because she called me by my name I then told her what was my fee and by when I could move out so I wouldn't be charge again she said I don't know I have to pull your account I said OK pull up my account she said I can't am helping another costumer OK so you had time to argue with me but not pull my account she then told me she would call me back I hanged up on her after I cussed at her for making me mad so it's 11 pm and guess what no phone call they are very expensive the prices went up I have friends that have rvs there that got broken in to and then didn't even get a sorry they ended up taking their business some were else if you want a good storage place try croker locker they are way way way cheaper and it's the same size of unit and the employee are super nice they have alot of customers from extra space DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE WITH PATRICIA I feel bad for the owners they are losing business because of her read more
