Beware that the insurance fees that you are paying are deceitful. You may not have the insurance, it may not cover the amount of the so called policy that you are paying for, and that fee may be a ploy for AAA to increase the rate of your monthly rental payment, and not actually applied to an insurance policy. People need to pay close attention to the changes in insurance policies and increases in fees. They will be investigated for these illegal practices.

Edna was the one I spoke with. I called one day and was told that I have to come into the office to just to change the email. I was in TX and CA. They cut my lock off at least twice and charged me $19.00 for each lock rental. They can clearly see my address on the account was TX. On Feb. 10th, I went into the office because I had/have a problem with the billing. They had a lock on my unit again! I changed to my lock and when I went into my unit there was one another lock on the floor. I turned it into the office and wrote down my correct email and confirmed it with the lady. On April 19th, 2026. I get a call saying I need to come put a lock on my unit. I told the lady I had a lock on there. Someone had gone into my unit and stole some of my belongings. Of course, I contacted the police and found out that someone else's unit was broken into. I haven't heard anything from them....

Over the next 8.5 years that number went from $49.99 a month, to $144 a month. Yes, $144 a month for a unit that if a wa a new customer, would cost me $49.99 a month. I spoke to management, and they kept telling me that the cost increases were in keepign with inflation. The highest infaltion rate in the 8.5 years, was 8.6%, what they were charging was almost 176% increase. I tried calling the regional manager, he ignored me. The local manager said "we can give you a 6 month discound of $21 a month" That was the last straw. I moved across the street to Uhaul, and am paying $50.00 a month. I spoke with the manager of the Uhaul facility, she said $144 a month was CRIMINAL. She said the last cost increase was 2 years ago, and it was $5.00. This place is a cash machine for the owners. I urge anyone who uses this facility, look at your bill. I never missed a payment, never violated any of their rules, I was a model customer. They are ridiculous. Theives. I requested a flat bed as my car has very low ground clearance and was told they only have flat beds which was perfect. She told me the truck driver would give me a call when he was in route, which he did. The driver was very friendly and took great care of in loading my car on the flatbed. The unit she helped me select was close to the front gate, clean, and dry. The units are not climate controlled.
