After seeing such great reviews online we decided to book with pick and pack. This was easily the worst, most expensive, and most frustrating move I've ever experienced. We moved out of our 2-bed, 2-bath apartment on Sunday, August 2nd. We've moved this exact same furniture multiple times over the last five years, moved that were much farther away and with multiple stops. (I'm talking two stops over 40 minutes away plus a new apartment 40 minutes away from that, walk up to walk up). This move was one apartment with a walk up to a new apartment with an elevator 20 minutes apart. lt has never cost this much or gone this badly.They estimated $1,600-$1,800 for 6-7 hours which was similar to our last moves, but the final bill came out to a whopping $2,200, $2,500 with tip. That's $500-$700 more than far more complicated moves we've done in the past. The crew moved much slower than previous movers I have experienced. They kept disappearing for 15 minutes at a time, and they actually charged us for their lunch break, which is standard, except they were gone over an hour and there was only 20 minutes of travel time.The lack of respect for our things was unbelievable. They completely cracked my antique bar cart handles and wheel, cracked one of our lamps, and my dog's crate. Worst of all, my jewelry armoire was locked prior to our move but must have been pried open because the lock is completely broken and bent now. I haven't even finished unpacking yet and I'm terrified of what else I'm going to find ruined.On top of the damage, they literally left multiple pieces of furniture behind at our old place. They claimed some pieces couldn't be moved safely, which is a total lie because previous movers handled them just fine (Again, for less money and less time EVEN PACKING THEM FOR US) . Other items they just abandoned without saying a word. (there were things we had them leave, these were things they were absolutely supposed to take). They also promised they would arrange my living room furniture they had to move due to space to back where I wanted it at the end of the day, but after taking all day, they just left without doing it. They also did an awful job putting our furniture back together creating even more work for us It is incredibly fishy how this place has so many good reviews online. Now I know why: they make you fill out a survey right before they leave, before you even have a second to look around and notice that your stuff is broken or missing. Again these piece have all been moved multiple times by different movers (all good experiences) with no damage.

When I need more (climate controlled) storage they were able to accommodate me in their Wall North facility. That too was easy, cost competing and had extra security (gates). In each case, The attendants were very efficient and pleasant. Last, but not least, they have a free truck to use to move in the first time. Half hour max. I'm driving a small car. The brunette woman at the office said "no problem" with a smile. Then the blonde woman came out of the bathroom. Suddenly the smile was gone. And I needed 4, count them, 4 pieces of identification to drive the truck from one unit to another. Then I needed to bring someone who signed the storage agreement 4 years ago here with his 4 pieces of identification. She never let me speak. I'm certain she wouldn't have actually cared, but she never even let me tell her he was in the hospital and that wasn't possible. I said "it appears you don't want to help me, but no problem, I'll make 30 trips in my small car." Then I smiled and left, couldn't say thank you because she did not actually do anything for me. It's her job to be professional and to treat customers politely. And these customers have given this business $500 a month for 4 years. That will be ending soon. I'm on trip #16....

(that's what the credit card authorization form had written on it). The trucks are located somewhere in Newark and drivers are from north jersey and New York City. They operate using a (908) and (732) area code phone number. I never write reviews but the owner/manager was mean and I do not want anyone else to have the same issue. They were suppose to move my grandma into an assisted living facility on the 15th. The move had to be completed by 5pm per facility rules. Which they knew about. They were schedule to come in the afternoon. Her move was the second of the day. After several calls in which the company did not know the location of their driver, they Cancelled the move and it had to be completed the next day. Had to take off work and rearrange my schedule for the next day. When I re-called them for some discount bc the move was not completed on the day it was supposed to be, the man (owner) hung up on me. Poor/rude costumer service. Didn't apologize for anything. The driver was the only nice one and contacted me personally. However, he is not the one who owns this company. Please save yourself the headache and hire another company even if it's more money than this company. I'm not one to complain and I have never written a review on yelp.

I told every company that we have a small move as we had been moving things little by little by ourselves, only Lynn provided me with the lowest minimum hours and competitive pricing. When I said I would get back to her, I appreciated her persistence in following up. They estimated 2.5 hours of work and Carlos and his team did a great job efficiently moving things, only took 30 more minutes than they estimated. They also didn't have any hidden charge for wrapping material for couch etc. My husband at the receiving address said they were very careful with our newly renovated home, the floor, the wall etc as they moved and assembled furniture. After the move, the owner Diego himself reached out to check in and asked for feedback. As somebody running a business myself and working with business owners, I really appreciate how they run their business, the efficiency, the flexibility and the care.
