The unit was broken into and ransacked. All of this is sketchy. They have cameras, a coded is required to get in the facility.....but when the kids talked to them, they got no where. StorageMart wouldn't give them video footage and told them to go make a police report which they did. They went back to SM and again asked asked for a copy of the video or pictures. They were provided with 2 pics of their open unit showing their posessions tossed out in the walkway. It doesn't make sense.....they would have time stamps for anyone that entered that night and cameras showing at least the vehicle. But when asked for the information......they are unable to help? Very sketchy and suspect.

Cameras appear to cover every angle and the climate-controlled areas maintain a consistent temperature with no humidity issues. The facility provides various flat moving carts that are conveniently stored just inside the doors. The loading/unloading area is well-lit and very close to the doors. I had almost given up when stumbled on this newly opened location. I left a VM & were promptly called back by owner Jim. He pleasantly described the property layout and our various options. I then logged onto his user friendly website & immediately reserved one of his affordable 40' sites. A few days later I regretted not reserving one of the 50' sites. I contacted Jim & and he gladly modified my reservation to a 50' without any hassle. Knowing that I was moving to Overland Park from out of state, Jim spent time on the phone with me answering several questions I had about the area. The coupon stated the following "Choose Between Two Options *$11 for one month of storage (up to a $116.95 value) or *$39 for three months of storage (up to a $350.85 value). For both options, customers may choose between 10'x10', 10'x15' or 10'x25' units. I called the company to use my coupon for a 10'x25' storage unit. The manager told me that I could only get a 10'x10' storage unit as this was the only size available. I asked if I could get two of these at the same price as this would equal a 10'x20' size. The manager stated that I would have to purchase another Groupon coupon if I wanted more space or for me to contact Groupon for a refund. At this time the company has sold 50 of these coupons and is offering only the 10'x10 size unit. This is a classic example of what I consider to be a bait and switch offer. The store manager also stated that the Groupon sale webpage for this offer stated that these units were on a first come first serve basis. This is absolutely false as no such information was stated in the offer. I contacted Groupon and told them how this company had not fulfilled their promise in their ad and therefore I cancelled my order. Groupon looked at the ad placed by Wise Moving Company and U-Haul Center and agreed that the company indeed did not have any such information in the ad stating that this was a first come first serve basis. I received an e-mail from Groupon stating that my credit card would be credited for my purchase. The Groupon representive I spoke to also offered her apology for having been treated badly by this company. I will not be recommending Wise Moving Company as a company to patronize.
