The air wasn't even turned on and it was in the high 80's when I went to get some things from my unit, I was upstairs on the 3rd floor for at least 45min , so it was pretty hot. I stopped by the office on my way out and asked why the air wasn't on the lady in the office was quite unfriendly, no apologies or empathy whatsoever. She just said it wasn't that time of the year yet , although I pointed out that the temperature would be reaching the 90's , but that didn't seem to phase her at all until I mentioned that they're always wanting to raise my rent, but yet I have to put up with no air on a hot day. She said she would look into it with a very unconvincing look on her face and especially in her voice. No customer skills whatsoever, looks like I'll be shopping around for a new storage facility. read more

I've never been compelled to write a review before, but Debbie at Extra Space Storage on W. Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas left me no choice! After a tough few weeks, I walked into her office with a scowl, I needed assistance with my account and was not happy about it. But then....Debbie transformed my day with her exceptional service! With empathetic listening, and expert problem-solving, she exceeded my expectations - not once, but TWICE! The next day, at an inopportune time, I foolishly locked myself out of my unit. Debbie swiftly came to my rescue, despite a busy office. Thanks for having some "Extra Space" in your heart for me, Debbie!! 10/10 .....Other than that the carpets in the elevators need to be replaced but Debbie said that should be happening soon. read more

We have had a storage here for over a year. We recently got a new facility manager and at first I didn't understand why she does things the way she does. But after a few times butting heads with her, I understand and appreciate how she does things. I would like to see a key pad for the restroom. And since the heat hit, it's really uncomfortable to move anything. It was a lot cooler before. But things in her control she's rocking it. read more

Awful location. Had my unit ransacked and personal items stolen. Better off throwing your personal belongings away rather than keeping them here. STAY AWAY Edit: State of the art security is I'm assuming the few cameras you have on the outside of the establishment. Yeah still haven't gotten my belongings back and no ones been caught. Only one thing I didn't like - they advertise one price per unit online, and when you come, they say you have to have Insurance at least 10 bucks per month.... so its make they's price not very competitive after all, because if you need just a small unit, ten bucks is 1\3 of total price... read more

They raise rates multiple times a year and do not communicate through emails so if you move by chance you won't be made aware a raise is happening until your bill comes out. And I'm not talking a few dollars, Im talking $50-100 more. They could at least give a courtesy call. My bill was barely $100 when I first got it and is now pushing $300 less than 2 years later. Would not recommend unless you are in a bind and don't intend to keep the unit for an extended period of time, but even then I still WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Upon leasing my unit Madison the manager on site whom helped me was very helpful, honest, and showed excellent customer service. This place is very unsafe! I stored my RV there for 3 years and have had it broken into 4 times! Shame on me for not moving it sooner. Police reports had been filed. The last time I had requested the district manager to contact me 2 different times and I have still not received a call. One of the gates has been out of order for months! There managers have a high turnover rate which speaks volumes to me. They do not care about your properties safety. Oh but don't worry! The whole place is getting a fresh coat of paint! Save your property and move to a safer unit!! read more

I'm in the process of moving and needed to find storage to put my things in for the meantime. Went to Public Storage before I found Extra Space Storage and it had a really strong odor throughout their facility. They definitely didn't keep up with it. Jacqueline is such a sweetheart. She was very nice & welcoming since I first walked into the door, very polite & made me feel comfortable right away. I love how clean Extra Space Storage is. I actually just signed up a few days ago, and I inquired about the AC because I realized it wasn't working while I was getting a tour. I was told the company had not turned them on yet for the year. The initial reason I went with this storage facility was because of the AC units. Today it's about 20 degrees hotter during the evening then it was during the day when I signed up. It's about 110 currently in the facility. There are two couples that have there kids here waiting, and another couple who has a baby. We are all sweating, and all trying to figure out the same thing. Why are we paying for a Storage unit that is not producing what is advertised. I'm not really sure what to do. I tried calling the store manager, but I was unable to get through. I'm going to try calling corporate, and if that doesn't work, possibly the news. The worst part about this entire thing; most people hardly check on their storages but maybe a few times a year. They would never know why some items may possibly become damaged. read more

If I could give this a negative star I would! We wanted a covered RV space with Extra Storage but there were no spaces our 5th wheel would fit, so we took an uncovered, slanted, by a wall sticking out "space" (& they charged us the same amount as the covered spots) with the promise of a covered spot as soon as one opened. We rented in August 2014 & I called once a week to see if any spaces opened (plus we were FIRST on a list for anything that opened we could fit into) January 2015 we were at our trailer on a Tuesday & were told a space we requested was being vacated that Saturday, we told them, AS THEY KNEW we would definitely take it & the employee took our name & said he'd call us that Saturday when they vacated to come rent the space. Never heard from them, they were closed on Sunday so I called Monday to see when we could come do the transfer of space paperwork - then was told the space was already rented out, that someone rented it on Saturday! We rent 2 units & an RV space, were waiting for 7 months to rent a covered space & they rented out one WE HAD TOLD THEM WE WANTED 5 DAYS PRIOR & they just said "there's nothing we can do about it" - so WE were kicked to the curb! We are now moving to another RV storage place AND moving our 2 units from Extra storage. That is NOT the way to do business Extra Storage!! AND I looked into their other reviews and sooo many bad ones, guess I should have looked before we rented! read more
