It's not me, it's my stuff - none of my things like to be anywhere where food, livestock or various sundries have been first. I have ordered from U-line in the past, but their shipping is outrageous, almost as much as the whole order. I did a little Google search and found suppliesformoving.com. At the time of the order, I had no idea they were in Brooklyn. The site is clean and all the information is readily accessible. One can guarantee that this website did not cost a lot of money, but it works. One of the best things about this company is that they have pre-prepared packages of boxes, tape, etc. divided by room and/or rooms which makes it a little easier. They have boxes for junk, boxes for tvs, boxes for lamps - are you following me here? They have supplies for moving - tape, blankets, plastic wrap, paper. So I go online and make my order (FREE shipping by the way on everything!) and expect it to come in a couple days according to the site. After the confirmation of sale is where it gets good. 30 minutes pass and I get a call from the company saying they can deliver today, the same day, in the late afternoon. OK. One hour later I get another call that they can deliver right now. Yes please. Approximately three hours after I ordered many, many boxes, they arrived in perfect shape. Having no idea this company was in Brooklyn, I guess I should consider myself lucky. The customer service was fantastic and the boxes have been working just fine. I had my date…read moreand time, I confirmed via email with Konstantin multiple times that my time frame was 8-9am, first thing in the morning. When moving from a building to a building the time is important because you need to schedule elevator time etc. The night before my move was when the misery began. At 7:30pm I get an email from Konstantin telling me the movers will arrive between 11-1pm. Expecting rain and now realizing I was not the first stop, I knew this was going to be a huge issue. We booked the morning time slot at the new building and had our whole day planned around being moved in by noon. I emailed Konstantin back and called right away. It says office hours are until 8pm but at 745pm no one was picking up. He never called me and 2 says later still hasn't after repeated requests. He emailed me back at 10pm saying he tried to rearrange the route but couldn't. Not asking me to change or of it would work or thinking about the impact on my move. I also forwarded him multiple emails as late as the day before (Monday) where he confirmed that the crew would be there first thing. NO SUCH LUCK. After asking Konstantin to call me again the morning of our move, I got emailed with lied about the crew being on their way at 9am which was not true and being told the driver would call at 10am and we didn't talk to him until 12:30 after hours of waiting and demanding a call. Our moving day was awful they showed up at 1:15pm. They moved us in and during loading, they dropped a laundry basket, which broke a mug and a scale. All 3 men denied it when asked. They made me wrote something positive on the receipt. In hindsight I realize doing this was not smart but they offered a small discount, after I bothered them about how unhappy in was, and they made it seem like in order to get it, I had to write something positive. When the cable guy arrived at 6pm, he tried to hook up my 50inch LED TV and what do you know, it was BROKEN. HUGE crack in the bottom and wouldn't turn on. The screen is black and it 100% done. I almost feel this was intentional due to the timing hostility. A crack that size doesn't happen without the person causing it knowing. They have been deceitful the up to and during the move. I have reached out to Konstantin right away. I am hoping he does the right thing and offers the customer service he should. I have asked to hear from him by 12pm. To be continued.

The crates stack up very neatly, unlike cardboard boxes, and are much easier for the movers to move. The drop-off and pick-up were punctual and flexible. We originally booked for two weeks - took one week to pack, two days to unpack. BoxUp was able to pick up the crates early and get them out of our way. Reuben did the drop-off and pick-up and was very professional. BoxUp also conveniently offers other packing material to be delivered with the crates. The green wrap was perfect for small pottery pieces, and the bubblewrap was great to protect art. Looking forward to booking BoxUp again when we have to move!

(tldr: lack of communication, damaged boxes and furniture upon arrival, poor quality of service) In the beginning, Jeff was very attentive and made us feel like "Yes! This is the quality of service we're looking for in a company!" and the quoted price was great. He told us everything we needed to know about our move and we were excited to move forward. (Disclaimer: Low price is because they have other moves on the same truck as yours. We figured it wouldn't be a problem... it was.) But once we had our stuff loaded on to the truck, that's when it went all downhill. First things first, the pick-up movers told us how much we should be tipping them (they said they wanted 20%), which was extremely unprofessional. I don't mind if they had just mentioned that tips are appreciated, but to have the balls to flat out tell me you want 20%? Really? I didn't hear from Jeff for about a week after our initial pick-up, and when he did respond, all he could tell me was that our stuff was still waiting to be put onto the truck and our 6 day delivery window remained the same. He told me he would update with information when he had some. I asked him if it was possible to get a tighter delivery window once the truck was in transit and he informed me that once we got closer to the delivery window he'd have a better estimate of when our stuff should be arriving. (At this point, we were 9 days from the first day of our delivery window and 7 days since pick-up.) Another week goes by without any correspondence from Jeff. I'm starting to get a little anxious because it's 2 days from the first day of our delivery window and we have no idea where our stuff is. So I contact him again asking if he had an update. The first day of the delivery window is pushed back a day. Still very vague. I ask again if he could provided a tighter delivery window since we're working people and need to make arrangements to receive this move if it does come on a work day. He said he'll try his best. So now it's the first day of the delivery window! Hurray! But silence on Jeff's end. At this point, we figured he'd have some sort of idea where the truck is and have an idea of when the truck should be arriving to us. I email Jeff and no response. I get that it's a Saturday, but if client is paying thousands of dollars to use your services, just a quick acknowledgement would be appreciated. We get a call later that day from the driver saying he's in the area and will delivery the following day or the next, depending on the other deliveries. Okay, great! But why wasn't Jeff able to provide that information to us? The driver told us that they're not actually a part of Movage and they're hired to do jobs within Movage (which was one of the first questions I asked because I wanted to make sure that the move wasn't being contracted out to third parties), so the drivers themselves weren't even in touch with Movage at all. And then our stuff finally arrives... boxes were damaged, wet, opened, our couch was soaked on one side... I'll let the pictures do the talking. The response we get after we express our extreme disappointment is just a very textbook: "I apologize for any inconvenience. This is not the typical feed back we receive from our customers. I will help you as much as possible as I have tried to do from the first time we spoke. I will attach a claims form to this email. Please fill it out at your earliest convenience so we can start a claim process for you. Thank you." If you're looking to do a long distance move, go with Mayflower. We deeply regret not choosing to go with them in the first place.

Okay, move number 3 with West Side Movers!…read more After a "financial eviction" from my COVID deal apartment it was time to move yet again. This time around I didn't price shop- I have had good experiences in the past with West Side Movers and wanted to stick with a company I have come to trust. Matt easily generated a quote based on a list of my items. COIs for my current and new building were generated within hours of booking my move. Vadim, Stevo, and the driver showed up on time just before 0800. Over the past two moves I have accumulated way too much crap...but they kept good humor throughout. Stevo masterfully disassembled and reassembled a horrific ikea bed like it was nothing! They handled my bulky sectional with ease. They got my monstrous 8 foot long credenza in the perfect spot. They took better care of my trash picked furniture than I do! Not a single item was damaged. We did end up going into overtime, but I think it was reasonable considering the sheer mass of boxes and other items...not to mention taking apart and putting back together the giant storage bed and a glass dining table. Vadim and Stevo made a stressful experience secure, efficient, and pleasant. I feel confident in my decision to stay with WestSide Movers (and Stevo!) for move # 3.

They scheduled a zoom/facetime walk-thru of my apartment to see what I needed and to give me a better quote. I had started packing already and got all my own boxes so it was easy to see what I had left. What I really liked was the 'no BS' hidden fees. It was one price that wouldn't change, no matter the hours or added last minute box. Of course my move was scheduled and it had to snow. Thankfully this didn't stop them. 4 guys showed up right on time (during a snow storm on a friday morning rush hour in the city). They walked thru and got a game plan, then brought up all the blankets and plastic wrap and got to work. TVs were dismounted and put in boxes, mattresses were put in boxes as well. The amount of blankets they used to wrap my furniture made me so happy. While they took their time, they were still hustling - running from the truck to the apartment. Once we got to my new place, they covered my stairs with runners and wore plastic booties to ensure my floors weren't messed up. I wish I had bought the wall mount for my TVs for my new place, because they offered to set me up. The only thing I was disappointed about was that my couch didn't fit thru the garage entry so it was left in the garage. I wish they had tried thru the front door but they were adamant that it still wouldn't fit. After 7 hours, I wasn't going to push them. Regardless, would 100% recommend Veterans Movers and also hope Roadway doesn't ruin this small-business. I wish I could remember the 4 guys that helped me move to give them a shoutout! Thx!!!
