If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This experience was nothing short of a nightmare. I had my date and time, I confirmed via email with Konstantin multiple times that my time frame was 8-9am, first thing in the morning. When moving from a building to a building the time is important because you need to schedule elevator time etc. The night before my move was when the misery began. At 7:30pm I get an email from Konstantin telling me the movers will arrive between 11-1pm. Expecting rain and now realizing I was not the first stop, I knew this was going to be a huge issue. We booked the morning time slot at the new building and had our whole day planned around being moved in by noon. I emailed Konstantin back and called right away. It says office hours are until 8pm but at 745pm no one was picking up. He never called me and 2 says later still hasn't after repeated requests. He emailed me back at 10pm saying he tried to rearrange the route but couldn't. Not asking me to change or of it would work or thinking about the impact on my move. I also forwarded him multiple emails as late as the day before (Monday) where he confirmed that the crew would be there first thing. NO SUCH LUCK. After asking Konstantin to call me again the morning of our move, I got emailed with lied about the crew being on their way at 9am which was not true and being told the driver would call at 10am and we didn't talk to him until 12:30 after hours of waiting and demanding a call. Our moving day was awful they showed up at 1:15pm. They moved us in and during loading, they dropped a laundry basket, which broke a mug and a scale. All 3 men denied it when asked. They made me wrote something positive on the receipt. In hindsight I realize doing this was not smart but they offered a small discount, after I bothered them about how unhappy in was, and they made it seem like in order to get it, I had to write something positive. When the cable guy arrived at 6pm, he tried to hook up my 50inch LED TV and what do you know, it was BROKEN. HUGE crack in the bottom and wouldn't turn on. The screen is black and it 100% done. I almost feel this was intentional due to the timing hostility. A crack that size doesn't happen without the person causing it knowing. They have been deceitful the up to and during the move. I have reached out to Konstantin right away. I am hoping he does the right thing and offers the customer service he should. I have asked to hear from him by 12pm. To be continued. read more

Easy Moving helped me and my husband move a 3-bedroom in NYC to the Hartford area. Our NYC apartment had a small elevator. LOWS - They were over 2 hours late that Saturday morning. (The triathalon had blocked off roads.) They weren't very good about giving us an ETA, which was stressful. - When they arrived, they had only 3 people with them. There had been a misunderstanding between the person who came and did an in-person quote and the team that schedules about how many items needed to be carried down 6 flights of stairs because they did not fit in the elevator. There was a tense 20 minutes when we were figuring out what to do - reschedule, find more people, charge us more. HIGHS - In the end, they honored their original quote, which I was thankful for but left me feeling really bad for the three, exhausted movers. - They did a great, great job. They got all our stuff into their truck in just over 3 hours and even quicker into our new apartment. They were speedy and careful. - Nothing was broken or missing. - Definitely the cheapest quote we got (but see the aforementioned issues.) read more

We hired EMS to move us from Queens to Oceanside. During the move, they badly damaged several pieces of our furniture. They admitted to damaging them and committed to fixing the items. They told us they would take one dresser to their warehouse to fix it but not only did they never fix it but they also never brought it back to us. Essentially, they damaged our dresser and then stole it from us. They stopped replying to our emails and stopped returning phone calls. It's been 6 months and they still have not returned our furniture that they stole from our home. I would never trust this company again. read more

My roommate and I decided to hire movers last minute to move out of our two bedroom apartment in a third story walk up in East Williamsburg to our new apartment in Bushwick. We had a bit of furniture to get out and were moving only a few minutes away. EMS arrived in the estimated time frame we were given and got straight to work packing their truck and even packing things into boxes they had brought that we hadn't been able to pack! Everything was moved out of our old apartment and into our new one quickly and efficiently and they were nothing but kind and helpful. I hired EMS Group to package and transport two pre-columbian art pieces that my parents purchased in the 1970's. I purchased additional insurance. The "box" came in a timely fashion. When I opened the box, I was shocked. My valuable pieces were shoddily wrapped and stuffed into a box too small to accommodate any movement. One piece came broken and destroyed. I have not been able to get the manager/owner (?) to give me any indication of procedure. When I reach out I get one line responses and then nothing. Very disappointing. I'm a repeat offender. I moved again this year and since I had such a great experience with Konstantin and his crew, I used Easy Moving & Storage yet again for this 1 mile move. Konstantin, per usual, was excellent at communicating with me via email and phone to orchestrate yet another easy move across town. My movers, John and Paul, were friendly and awesome. We ended up starting a little late since the first job took a little longer then expected but they were in communication the entire time keeping me posted on their ETA. It actually really worked out since I needed the extra time to pack. They got the job down quickly, efficiently and most importantly, cost-effectively. They carefully packed up my furniture wrapping them securely like birthday presents for my new apartment. While there were a couple unforseen hiccups (i.e. my huge furniture not fitting through old, narrow hallways), the moving team was incredible at troubleshooting and figuring out crazy angles to get my furniture into its new home. I used Easy Moving and Storage twice--once for a relocation to San Francisco (from NYC) and again this summer for my relocation back to NYC. I worked with Konstantin and Joseph, they both provided fantastic customer service and working with both of them was a pleasure. They were EARLY, helped my wife and I break down the last of furniture, handled the boxes with care (NO broken items from the move), loaded everything into our new walkup and were 10 minutes under the time they had projected. Great flexibility and communication from the get go regarding our move! We had to change our move date twice and each time the owner Klim was extremely accommodating. The day of our move the guys were very thorough and moved everything without an issue. The move itself ended up being longer than what was originally estimated (based on how much stuff we had), but honestly no complaints whatsoever as everything was moved properly, safely and arrived intact. I completely understand it's hard to know how long a move will take until you see what you're working with. Pricing was very reasonable and we had a great experience. From booking to moving, Konstantin explained what would happen every step of the way. It sounded great. He estimated the size and price of the move by just asking what I needed moved. Movers showed up early, wrapped up my furniture well, got through NYC traffic quickly, and had everything moved in under 3 hours (Brooklyn to Manhattan), all for a great price. They were also able to deal effectively with uncertainty on my end about what exactly my new landlord needed from the mover's Certificate of Insurance until the last minute, and respected the posted "no shoes rule" even though going barefoot becomes moot when you're moving :) In short, they were fast, efficient, flexible, and didn't break the bank, a pretty good combination. read more

My wife & I scheduled the movers to start at 9am. When we made the reservation, I made it clear a prompt start was important as the buildings I was moving out of and into had strict time restrictions on the times when the service elevator could be used (as does almost every NYC building). Despite this, the full crew did not arrive until 11am. There was no communication from the movers regarding their status. When I called to check in what was happening that morning, I was told there was "traffic". Traffic doesn't cause a 2 hour delay and at the very least, a call to provide an update would be appreciated. When the truck finally showed up, only 2 movers arrived although we ordered 3. The 3rd mover showed up on his own later than the others because he took the bus to the wrong stop, not because of traffic. Totally unprofessional. Because of the late start, the rest of the day was stressful as the building I was moving into permits use of the service elevator until 4:30pm. The movers acted with no sense of urgency to make up for their delayed start. My wife & I ended up serving as additional members of the moving crew to move a number of items into our new building; we made numerous trips back and forth from their truck into the building to try to meet the 430pm service elevator cutoff. The movers needed to work past 5pm to complete the move, which resulted in difficult conversations with frustrated building staff. This was embarrassing and not a a good first impression to leave, all because the movers started late, and never even apologized. When I spoke to the manager about my concerns, he didn't care about the stress my wife & I were put under because of their inexplicable late start; all he wanted was to get paid an inflated price much higher than what we were initially quoted. He was combative and rude over the phone. To top it off, when we finally agreed to a price that was reasonable, I was sent an invoice. Credit card was not listed as a payment option erroneously so I promptly contacted the Accounting team requesting they rectify this. I received no response. About a week later, the manager had the audacity to threaten me with a late fee if I didn't pay, when it was his team that was the bottleneck in getting the payment completed! If you're looking for a smooth and professional moving experience, look elsewhere. read more

HORRIBLE, MISERABLE EXPERIENCE. UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. Movers never showed up on time. Didn't call to say they'd be late. I had to call them to learn they'd be 2 hours late. Then I called to find out they'd be 4 hours late. Finally, 5 hours later, two movers showed up. By then, too late to move and get into new building. Poor communication and poor service all the way around. The whole day I was in contact with the company, who had no explanation as to what we going on and no solution to fix it. They kept saying just a little bit longer. Movers also called my new building and my new super after I told them not to. Not forthcoming or transparent. I originally was going to use Easy Moving because their price was significantly lower than Flat Rate. Several hundred dollars lower. I described the move and the inventory the same way to both companies. When the movers showed up, they told me it was going to take about 2.5x the amount of time the sales guy on the phone said, who demanded a new, significantly higher price and credit card charge before the move started. I'm now going with Flat Rate, who ended up being less expensive than the new price the manager demanded. As my previous review mentioned, Konstantin was always great to deal with, it might be the luck of the draw on who you get to actually do your move. I had a move with a lot of last minute logistical changes, and these guys were fantastic to do last minute adjusting. While I thought we were going to have three guys there, apparently I didn't communicate clearly and only two showed, but nonetheless, they handled everything professionally, carefully, and in surprisingly good spirits, despite the fact that I live on a fourth floor walk-up with no elevator and a heavy couch. I used Easing Moving to move across Brooklyn. I called a few different moving companies, but what obviously tipped me towards my decision was the cheap quote they gave me. I called about a month ahead to get a quote and confirmed two weeks before the move. They were nice enough to call me a few times during those two weeks as a reminder that they were coming, giving me less things to worry about. The day of the move they were on-time and seemed to be very efficient in their approach. The crew consisted of two skinny, young russian guys, who looked like they couldn't lift the pillows, but ended up being stronger than they looked. They packed my stuff up very fast, and we ended up completing the move much faster than I expected. Mind you, nothing was damaged in the process which is always a concern with moving companies. The only reason I didn't give them a five is because they are a new business, and are still a bit rough around the edges sort of speak. But overall, with the price I paid, and the efficiency and care with which they moved my stuff, I couldn't be happier. I just got around to posting this review today, and saw the other review that tore these guys apart. I am not sure whether they had an off day then or a good day with me, but they seemed to be just fine in going about their business. In any event, I think small businesses are sometimes better at providing quality service as they have more things to loose from loosing even a small client like me, and thats why I gave them a try. Easy moving was Easy! Konstantin was amazingly helpful despite my having to ask him to switch my moving day 4 times. He was very accommodating and got back to me right away whenever I needed to talk about any details. The guys he sent were friendly, professional and on the ball. My only issue was I did not anticipate I would have so much to move so I could have used another guy, but that was my fault for not knowing I had more boxes. If I could give them zero stars I would. I chose this company for a long distance move based upon their yelp and angie's list reviews and I was sorely mistaken. I moved at the end of May and am still struggling to get this company to sort out their mistakes. When I first contacted Joe he was responsive, reasonable, and efficient. The movers showed up on time, dealt with the apartment building swiftly and efficiently and packed my apartment quickly and seamingly well. They did not however provide me with a final inventory list. This is where it all went wrong. I was told they anticipated my stuff to be going out either that week or the following with an anticipated delivery date of no more than two weeks. That never happened. Weeks went by and every time I called, I was avoided or never called back. I was half way across the states starting a brand new job, in a brand new apartment, with nothing but the clothes in my suitcase. I was promised week after week that it would be loaded on the next truck, and then the day would come and go and nothing. Despite my pleas to Joe again and again, i was never provided with an itinerary of the boxes they had packed. When I was finally able to escalate the problem to Konstantin, he did provide some help. My stuff was finally able to get shipped out, months after I was promised, and was delivered a week later. When the movers began unpacking however, it was evident my stuff had been treated poorly, unpacked and packed, shoved and tossed around. Most of the plastic containers were broken, boxes shredded, furniture scuffed and broken. The movers even unloaded furniture that was not mine and when I explained this to the movers, their response was "it's nice stuff, just keep it" There were some tags that labeled my shipment, but most boxes were unlabeled and unaccounted for. Despite all of this, I paid in full and tipped the movers nicely. After unpacking that day, I realized I was missing boxes. I reached out to Joe and Konstantin that day explaining I had broken furniture and missing boxes. I was told in emails they had my boxes and would fed ex them and that the "paperwork wasn't worth the amount of money I would get in return for the broken furniture" That was at the beginning of July. A month passed and still no sign of any of my missing boxes. Phone calls went unanswered or if I did get a hold of someone, I was told they would look into it and then they would call me back. When I finally stated I was reporting them to the better business bureau, I received an email from Joe stating he mixed up my stuff and they would be sending my missing stuff the next day. The box came a week later and to NO SUPRISE, it's NOT MY STUFF!!!! THE BOXES WERE TORN TO SHREDS AND IT IS SOMEONE ELSES STUFF. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

They sold me on their white glove service, and took such care with packing/protecting and moving my belongings.
