The day I went to move out of my locker the elevator was out of order. I had carry my stuff out up and down stairs. It's supposed to be climate controlled but I don't think there was any AC working. 90 degrees! For a small storage locker @65.00 per month I'm not sure it's worth it. I'm soooo glad to be out of there. I will say the manager is super nice. Unfortunately she was out on vacation. read more

I could not be happier with my Extra Space Storage unit! The entire facility is super clean, adequately lit, and well-maintained. It feels very secure and everything (dollies, lifts, doors, access, etc.) works flawlessly. Access to the unit is easy and convenient. The manager, Kitsha, is both professional and friendly and an excellent communicator. She resolved an issue with my access code very quickly. We have had a unit at this location for a few years and the rate was gradually going up to the point we were thinking of moving out of it. Store Manager Kitsha Fly was wonderful in helping us figure out a solution to reduce the monthly fees down. She was incredibly nice and attentive and we greatly appreciated it. If you live in the area and are looking for a place to store some items, I suggest calling or stopping in. She's awesome at her job and will get you a nice storage unit and a good price. read more

Really clean facility. There are always dollies available. Nice staff. Rent goes up all the time. It's gone up over 30% since I moved in in September 2017. I am looking to move to a storage unit that doesn't increase the rate 10% every year. read more

they raise their rates every few months. their excuses is it changes as rates change around you but that's a lie. it goes up no matter what and never down and I know someone who had a locker with them for a year. his lockers started at 100$ a month went up to 140$ a mont. theres always a problem with their doors. one at least one side never works and the heat on 4th floor never work. it's always cold in the winter and hot in the summer since the ac never works. they say they will fix the things but the doors are broken for months before they fix it. read more

I got this storage space for my stuff in between moves and it was ok. The facility itself was great but there were a few things that bugged me. The first being all the charges to even get the space. I paid $50 for a lock I could only use there and he said most people donate it back when they're done. My question is, so can I get a donated lock? I guess not and the donations are towards them so they can recharge the $50 to someone else. Nice. My other complaint is that I was told to give a 10 day notice prior to moving out of the unit so I only have to pay for what I use. I did and when I asked about being reimbursed for the half month I wasn't using they explained the 10 day rule is actually irrelevant and I actually should've called before the 1st of the month and I would not be reimbursed. Overall at the end of the day my experience was ok more so because the facility is set up great but it left me with the sense that they just don't care. read more

Extra space storage in New Hope, MN has gone above and beyond my expectations. The facility is super clean and very well kept. Cleanest unit and facility I have ever rented. Chuck from extra space storage has been amazing to work with he is passionate about this job and kind and professional to his customers compared to my last facility I rented from. Chuck explains things perfect and answered all my questions professionally and let me express different questions and concerns I had and answered them instead of having me call hotline numbers to get questions answered. With this customer service and and the way the facilities are bright and clean i will definitely be cancelling my current facilty down in Arizona and moving it over to extra space storage location there by my seasonal home and here in minnesota.
