    In April, garbage all over by the entrance door

    Very disappointing. Rolling door to access building was broken and wide open. The person before me had to go to another level to find a cart, she commented they were all scattered. Where the carts are to be left there were piles of garbage including broken glass. To get to my unit i have to go through a door that does not latch so had to hold it while getting and pushing the cart. Wanted to returned to finish moving my stuff in but don't feel safe going by myself. Not sure i'll keep it long Update: I am dying to get another storage place. Monthly fee went up over $90!! The place is dark and scary. Last night had to stop by and texted someone to let them know where I was "just in n case". The entrance was filthy as alway with garbage scattered (see pics).

    This place is always gross, dirty, and unsafe for anyone to go to day or night. There is no cell service inside the building please carry a weapon. There are a lot of sketchy people hanging around. The back gate was open for over 2 months and now the front gate is open yesterday for anyone to get in the storage parking lot. People leave the doors open too with the orange cone. As soon as you walk in the door it smells like marijuana and there is always garbage at the door when you walk in and out of the building. I have been renting here for 6 months now and the same garbage has been in front of my unit since then. One cart in the building the last time I was there was two but one was broken. The light sensors don't go off, you have to walk down the hall several times for the lights to go on. When I walked out yesterday there was some guy with NY plates sitting in his car eating a sandwich and watching a video on his phone not too sketchy. I am looking for a new place. I have called several times to complain no one cares at Corp. There are people at the front desk playing on their phones. The manager Jose is full of himself, he is a great conartist who has corp fooled. Look at the photos in the hall of sunflower seeds they wonder why there is a rat and mouse problem. A used tampon and a used glove were in front of the door entering the building. I don't know who is writing these reviews but they have to be friends of people that work there. I did not take any photos of the entrance coming in because I want to get in and out of there but you can see the sunflower seeds on the floor.

    I want to post an update to my prior review…read more As bad as the moving experience was, Piece of Cake Movers completely changed my view when it came time to address the issues I raised afterward. Emily handled my concerns with professionalism, fairness, and real diligence. She could not have been nicer. She listened, took the issues seriously, and worked through them in a way that felt fair and respectful. My original concerns about the move itself remain what they were. But I also recognize that any business of this size can occasionally have a bad crew or a bad experience in the field. What matters is how the company responds when that happens. Here, the response after the move was excellent. Credit is due where credit is due: the post-move customer service, especially from Emily, was outstanding. For that reason, I am giving the company 5 stars for how it handled the aftermath and resolved the issues. I will use them the next time I move. Emily was that good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was leaving a large multi level condo in DC, and taking (most of) that furniture to New York. As the day began, I thought - there is no way it's all going to happen today. Even my closets alone would surely take a day. but again - I was wrong. It was a seamless move - worth every penny - in the past I've felt incredible stress on these days, but today I felt more like the wrench in the well oiled machine. Which is awkward but better than stress. 10/10 recommend - the level of care and expedience exceeded my expectations. Ivan and the crew were kind and tidy.

We called them panicked at 3:45 pm and spoke with Tony. He literally packed everything up and waited for us to arrive with a car 20 min after the closing hour! Now THAT is what I call amazing customer service! Our team was up until 7am packing orders- and thanks to Tony, and the team at Cornell Paper & Box, we were able to keep up with all the orders and get them shipped out. Their prices were even better than Uline! We are FOREVER grateful- we are now ordering from them for now on. THANK YOU TONY!

So first-off, convenience is a HUGE plus for us, but overall, it's the personal aspects of dealing with this family owned and operated business that really cinches the deal. For the most part, they have everything we need in terms of our packing supplies, but if they don't, --even if they can't get it-- they're more than happy to direct me to a manufacturer who deals in whatever corrugated product (and more) that I'm looking for. For me as a small business owner, there is true value in finding another business who can deal with me as a small operator with as much attention as (I assume) they do with their larger customers. Don't even get me started on the Red-Box, Blue-Box gummed tape.

    I can't believe I have to write this review, but I figured it was fair to warn everyone who's…read morelooking to use Movage for a long distance move. (We moved from NJ to CA.) (tldr: lack of communication, damaged boxes and furniture upon arrival, poor quality of service) In the beginning, Jeff was very attentive and made us feel like "Yes! This is the quality of service we're looking for in a company!" and the quoted price was great. He told us everything we needed to know about our move and we were excited to move forward. (Disclaimer: Low price is because they have other moves on the same truck as yours. We figured it wouldn't be a problem... it was.) But once we had our stuff loaded on to the truck, that's when it went all downhill. First things first, the pick-up movers told us how much we should be tipping them (they said they wanted 20%), which was extremely unprofessional. I don't mind if they had just mentioned that tips are appreciated, but to have the balls to flat out tell me you want 20%? Really? I didn't hear from Jeff for about a week after our initial pick-up, and when he did respond, all he could tell me was that our stuff was still waiting to be put onto the truck and our 6 day delivery window remained the same. He told me he would update with information when he had some. I asked him if it was possible to get a tighter delivery window once the truck was in transit and he informed me that once we got closer to the delivery window he'd have a better estimate of when our stuff should be arriving. (At this point, we were 9 days from the first day of our delivery window and 7 days since pick-up.) Another week goes by without any correspondence from Jeff. I'm starting to get a little anxious because it's 2 days from the first day of our delivery window and we have no idea where our stuff is. So I contact him again asking if he had an update. The first day of the delivery window is pushed back a day. Still very vague. I ask again if he could provided a tighter delivery window since we're working people and need to make arrangements to receive this move if it does come on a work day. He said he'll try his best. So now it's the first day of the delivery window! Hurray! But silence on Jeff's end. At this point, we figured he'd have some sort of idea where the truck is and have an idea of when the truck should be arriving to us. I email Jeff and no response. I get that it's a Saturday, but if client is paying thousands of dollars to use your services, just a quick acknowledgement would be appreciated. We get a call later that day from the driver saying he's in the area and will delivery the following day or the next, depending on the other deliveries. Okay, great! But why wasn't Jeff able to provide that information to us? The driver told us that they're not actually a part of Movage and they're hired to do jobs within Movage (which was one of the first questions I asked because I wanted to make sure that the move wasn't being contracted out to third parties), so the drivers themselves weren't even in touch with Movage at all. And then our stuff finally arrives... boxes were damaged, wet, opened, our couch was soaked on one side... I'll let the pictures do the talking. The response we get after we express our extreme disappointment is just a very textbook: "I apologize for any inconvenience. This is not the typical feed back we receive from our customers. I will help you as much as possible as I have tried to do from the first time we spoke. I will attach a claims form to this email. Please fill it out at your earliest convenience so we can start a claim process for you. Thank you." If you're looking to do a long distance move, go with Mayflower. We deeply regret not choosing to go with them in the first place.

We had to reschedule with a new property which Chris was able to work with me . Thankfully The guys arrived on time and was professional and courteous to me and my wife . The boys worked hard with my 2 flight staircase and we made everything on time . I would definitely recommend this company to people doing that stressful move ! - Andrew P

    The worst, most dishonest movers I have ever used. They did not number and label every box,…read moreenabling un-numbered boxes to become lost or taken. I found proof of that when I walked outside while both movers were inside during delivery. I found two of my suitcases away from the truck and not numbered. When I asked why the items were left unattended, Aurelio told me it is their practice to save un-numbered items until last. Family Moving's delivery driver also refused to reassemble a sauna, despite the fact that I had prepaid for the service. Aurelio demanded an extra $600 and a tip to pick up a smaller truck, even though he knew prior to delivery that he should have something smaller than a tractor trailer in any gated community. Aurelio later asked for a glass of wine to relax. In my ongoing communication with Family Moving since March, the company has defended the driver due to his tenure and Family Moving demanded I withdraw the complaint filed with the Federal Motor Safety Commission., later denying they wanted me to withdraw it. Family Moving called the wrong area code for an entire week and claimed I never called back, so they couldn't talk to me about delivery and truck size. They even sent me the call log to prove they called me. I told them they called the wrong area code and I never received a call or messages from them. They responded with another call log showing the wrong area code. They must not think I know my own phone number. Ironically, their driver called the right area code when he called me to say he was outside the gate with a tractor trailer. Family moving also sent the call log showing they did speak to our HOA and were told not to bring a tractor trailer. They brought a tractor trailer anyway and passed the charge to me. I believe it was a planned extra charge. Family Moving offered to pay the invoice from a private contractor who ultimately reassembled my sauna, but only as a payment of good will. My attempts at communication with Family Moving have failed. Perhaps these issues are just too familiar to them. The last communication I received from Family Moving indicated they no longer wish to communicate about this with me. I hurt myself by not reading the reviews first. Please do not use Family Moving.
