The manager called me personally, confirmed the rental, provided my access codes, and gave me my unit number. Everything appeared to be ready. When I arrived with my movers, I discovered I could not access my unit because the elevator access had been programmed for the wrong floor. This should have been a simple issue to correct. Unfortunately, there was no one on-site to help. I called the Public Storage customer service number repeatedly--at least 5 to 7 times--and left multiple urgent requests for a callback. Despite explaining that I had movers on-site and was unable to access the unit I had rented, no one responded. More than 24 hours later, I still had not heard from anyone. As a result, I was unable to move into the unit I had already paid for, while my movers stood idle at approximately $200 per hour. What should have been a routine move-in became an expensive and completely avoidable disaster. The most disappointing part wasn't the original mistake. Mistakes happen. It was the complete lack of support afterward. If someone had simply answered the phone or returned a call, the situation likely could have been resolved quickly. My takeaway is this: Public Storage was extremely responsive when I was renting the unit. Once they had my money and a problem arose, I was effectively on my own. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location to understand that there may be no on-site staff available when you need immediate assistance. If something goes wrong on move-in day, you may find yourself unable to access your unit and unable to reach anyone who can help. That's not a risk I would take again.

They didn't even notice our break in with the RV next door having a wide open door. Ours had the locks drilled out. My point in writing another review is to emphasize that in the years that they have been open they have done nothing additional to secure the property. Our last storage facility had the rolled barbed wire on top of their fence and we never had a problem there. The only reason we left was because the property sold and it was no longer going to be a storage facility. Bergstrom Storage doesn't care. They will just rent to the next rv owner that walks in the revolving door. That is why it is month to month I suppose.

We reached out and eventually were told they were having management issues and no one was onsite. Days later, we had to go buy our own lock, then pick an empty unit, and email them which one we chose for our paperwork. We were never reimbursed for the lock or this issue. Then every 3 months, the rate increases. We have a small unit and in a matter of 10 months, the cost went from around $40/mo to the most recent being $70/mo. We are terminating our contract after this month. Cannot afford the continuous rate hikes.

Delivery was on time and easy, as was my scheduled pickup, keeping me appraised via text messaging. And certainly affordable enough in this market. And the units are clean, secure, and water-tight (we had a couple of big storms while in use and no internal leakage). I had to have my foundation stabilized requiring us to move out most everything in the house and garage. We decided to move things into an on-site storage pod. I did some research, reaching out to a number of places for quotes, focusing on mostly local vendors (this is a local franchise of a national group) because I want to support local business and invest in my local community, yet checking with the national groups as well. All these storage vendors have delivery/pickup and monthly fees. I ended up settling on using Units Austin. Many of the others were more expensive, especially PODs and similar; a couple quoted a little cheaper on the monthly while more expensive on delivery and pickup. Some (local ones) never even reached back out to return my inquires (even though I hit them up twice). I expected to need my unit for a single month. I was wrong - due to winter storm Uri taking all the workers and contractors I'd need to finish the job. I had no problem extending the usage of the storage unit for a few more months by contacting them ahead of time. With all the logistics, and finishing enough to get back into the house, and finding people to help move things out of the pod, I reached out to Units on the monthly renewal day to cancel and schedule a pickup. They had just charged for the next month. I reached out and while I was initially told they couldn't provide a refund, after a little back and forth yet reluctantly expecting that to be the case, they graciously provided a pro-rated refund less the expected delivery fees upon return of the unit. I have nothing but good things to say; very easy to work with and affordable enough as it goes and super storage product (steel construction with wood flooring and plenty of ways to secure stuff). I didn't have to move the unit, so if you do, hopefully that goes as well. I hope that everyone who uses them has as good an experience as I did.

I understand Burnet storage is not responsible for theft but today I picked up my boat and found the hitch bent, jack broken off, and wiring harness cut to pieces like it was mowed.
