I rented 2 storage units here. One of them for a year & a half the other for approximately 3 months. I paid on time every month & was never late. I gave them notice & within my move out week my next payment was due for the month which was paid up. I STILL had about 25 days left in the month when I moved out. I asked for a refund of those days since I moved out early but was refused! What kind of business doesn't refund you for a service you don't use anymore or don't need?! Never heard of this! That's almost $400 down the drain now! Money doesn't grow on trees!! Anyway I'll give them 2 stars for being a secure place to hold my things but it would have been 5 if I would have received a refund. If you rent a unit here make sure you move out on your exact move out date or as close to it as possible or you'll be out of money. SMH! read more

Update to review: Just got a rate increase in the mail, not even 6 months into my rental. I was paying $80/month, but the new rate is going up to $143/month (a 78% increase!). This is about the lowest form of bait & switch that I've come across. The good news is I only got the unit to clear up some clutter and not much in it, so easy to remove out. Bad news is that this tactic leaves people dead in the water if they have heavy or large items in there, and can't move easily. This is a preying tactic. I have some choice words regarding this practice (I've been in sales for 16+ years) but I know I would NEVER do this to a client. Shame on you, Extra Space Storage! You will no longer be getting my business after this insane rate increase. Original review: Online promotion drew me in, along with location. Sales associate was friendly and professional, although semi-cheesy with his sales tactics ("we've only got a few of these units left", "we have more reservations than units so don't delay" ... and my favorite, "you're in luck, we have one left and the sale ends today"). Signing forms and getting my gate code was super fast, and move in was easy. Loved they provided a map, and that the carts were where they should be. Unit was clean and easy to get into. My only complaint is that they should have an asterisk by any online promotion, mentioning that rental insurance is needed. I'm not a fan of bait & switch tactics. My experience here was ok until my storage until was burglarized. Not once but twice! Over $10,000 worth of me and my family's personal items were taken. Please place a small camera inside your storage unit , if you do decide to rent at this location. Edgar has been amazing assisting my family and I during a difficult time after my mother's passing. This is an update to a Google post I made on Extra Space Storage. I originally rented a 10x15 unit on November 19th. I hired a couple of guys to move my heavy furniture from my apartment to my storage unit. After the guys loaded the UHaul with my furniture I realized that I needed a larger unit. I called and Bobby, the store manager, answered and told me a 10x20 unit was available. 5 minutes later I pulled up with the UHaul, looked at the bigger unit and had the guys loading my furniture in the new unit. Bobby made the transfer from my old unit to the new unit seamless and easy. I am so happy I chose Extra Space Storage my experience was pleasant and efficient. Thank you Bobby for working with me and keeping my guys moving so I didn't have to pay extra for any down time. read more

I just recently rented my 2nd storage space at the Sandy Springs location. Edwin the customer service agent was very helpful! He was extremely personable,friendly & kind. He showed me where the unit was, the easiest access to the unit & explained the contract as it was completed on the computer with electronic signatures which was very easy. The facility is always clean & has a welcoming atmosphere as the customer service has always been very good. I've had all good experiences at this location & would definitely recommend it. I spent over $1700 storing my furniture. There was a water leak in my unit and ruined a bunch of my furniture, mattresses , rugs and there was tons of mold on my items. They didn't even apologize. I have insurance but I thought this fancy expensive storage place would keep my stuff safe. DO NOT RENT HERE. read more

My husband and I have a storage unit at this location and have been very pleased to rent from Extra Space Storage. We have been renting for almost a year without any issues. The staff is very kind and helpful. One of the employees, Steve, helped remove my lock when I lost my keys and was very nice throughout the process.
