I have never had a storage unit before and she did a great job of showing me around, and giving me all the information I needed! I had no questions for her! I Have rented a Unit at the Lake Elsinore location for almost 2 years. The lots have always been very clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. This past week I finally got everything moved out and they were so nice about everything. My son rented a small unit yesterday in the same location and he is very happy with his service as well. I had a storage unit here for almost a year. I went to move and upon unpacking, I discovered that mice had chewed holes in my boxes and there was feces and urine all over my stuff. I had to throw away several items. To make matters worse, I also found five dead mice in one of my boxes. Extra space forced me to purchase insurance for $15 extra a month, but they conveniently don't cover damage by rodents. Moving out this week for a couple of reasons. 1. Their boat / rv storage is flooded and is always flooded after it rains. It's now 6-9 inchs deep. I got completely soaked to the shins while dropping off my boat. I asked if they plan to rectify the problem and was told it doesn't rain much. 2. The price you move in with will continue to go up every few months. That's their process. I've had enough. read more

This place has probably been the worse of all time. We moved out and secured our belongings with them. Come to find out as we were moving out and were gathering all our belongings from storage... we found rat droppings scattered throughout our belongings. Today is the final day and I wanted to throw out the belongings that were damaged while stored in their unit. I went to go speak to Sandy Williams who was very rude and unwelcoming.... sad to say people like this work customer service. I asked if we could throw some things away as they clearly have a dumpster with a sign stating " contact management to access this dumpster." She stated that no one would have use of that dumpster but management. Save your money, save yourself from the hassle and having all your belongings damaged. As a side note, their prices started at about $120.00 with insurance and almost ended up charging us $200 monthly... it wouldn't have been much of a big deal if they would use pest control and I wouldn't have had to throw out half of my belongings. read more

I've had this storage for over a year and I haven't had any issues until the other day . The lady working Sandy is the most rudest and disgusting person I have came in contact with when it comes to customer service . IF YOU LIKE TO BE RACIALLY PROFILED AND HAVE THE COPS CALLED ON YOU BECAUSE YOURE BLACK please come and talk to her . Sandy Williams was upset because my sister who also owns the storage unit, wanted to throw something away and Sandy refused and told her she could go throw it away somewhere else . My sister put it in the trash and Sandy began to get irate with her and threatened her , then called the police and told them she feels threatened by my sister and she's black! Like are you serious !!! She was even extremely rude to me when I asked to use the restroom . She rolled her eyes and shoved the key at me. I've never had to deal with Sandy and I never want to again unless I have a camera to record her or the police with me . I rented a storage unit at 930 am April 24th paid over $200 bucks for the 10 by 20 I was on my way to work, upon arriving to work I was informed that I did not need the storage unit, as I was waiting for an approval for a home I was renting, long story short by 1030, I called Extra Space Storage and I informed then that I did not need to rent a unit, and that I'd like my money back, well I was told that they were not going to return my money and that I am stuck with the storage unit, the only reason there is a star in this review is because you have to put at least one there, I have contacted corporate and I expect some results, would I ever recommend this place to anyone, not no but hell no customer service doesn't exist there at all, what a shame, very shameful!!! read more

I rented 10 x 10 unit. When I paid for the first month I was disappointed to find out there were no first month free units available as advertised. I was charged a $24 administrative fee and was required to purchase insurance coverage for $20 a month plus tax. I love this place! The girls in the office are super professional and very helpful. I've had a storage unit here for almost 6 months and have never ran into a problem. The facility stays open till 10 which I feel is an added bonus because you're not scrambling to get your things in by 5 or 6 like every other storage facility in town. read more

They begin hiking your rental rate within 3 months of beginning service with them. The response from customer service is that the way the contract is written, they could raise it every month. After raising the concern the gal in the office stated that "I could just move out." Worst Customer Service Experience and on more than one occasion. If you can, I would find a local storage company. These corporate facilities, just do not care. Also you do not have access 24 / 7 as I first thought. You cannot get in past 10:pm. Do not pay their premiums for less than average service. read more

The front desk staff was always so friendly & willing to help! The on-sight manager Karina is always there to welcome you with a great smile & positive attitude! This is a great storage facility at a great price At least 30% less than the other three storage facilities in the area. The storage area as well as the restrooms are always clean and well maintained. It has easy access with a coded gate for use from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. read more

It was really easy to setup the contract for my unit. Compared to other storage facilities in Southern California the price was very reasonable as well the safety and cleanliness is good. Also, if you're using Uhaul there are two locations nearby that you can turn it in. read more

Temecula extra space storage is horrible .. Our storage was broke into and trashed, interestingly no cameras caught anything in-fact the cameras do not cover all the property, management did nothing to help. Others have experienced the same problems .. beware!!!!!!! read more

Quote and confirmation of size and price do not match to space assigned and billed! I looked for storage units on line. I got the quote on line for a 10 x 10 @ $98. per month and received a confirmation call from the manager but when I moved in the space was 4 ft smaller than what I agreed to measuring 6 x 10. Since it was late in the day I came back the next day and spoke to the acting manager. Who agreed the unit was not I agreed to and was paying for. I received a phone call from the manager a few days later stating the measurements to the units were not exact but off by 4 ft! She then offered me a credit of $8.00 per month. When I priced the units online the price for a 6 x 10 was $74 but the manager and district manager are charging me $90. What the heck! I would NOT recommend this facility due to poor unethical business practices. read more

RENTERS BEWARE, SO DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED WITH THIS PLACE. HAVE BEEN WITH THEM FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND ALREADY 2 RATE INCREASES, SO RIDICULOUS. This place WAS a great place to store, until the new management came in and RAISED the price of our unit $20.00, and sent me the notice, a day before it was due!!! Then they started enforcing an $85.00 late fee, which my unit was only $83.00 to begin with, then they reduced the the grace period to 2 days, and would NOT let me make a partial payment!!!! You have to pay everything in full, and before the grace period, if, god forbid you were late one month, so that means, they can accrue more late fees and then not be able to make a dent in the payment unless u pay the full amount! They are complete CROOKS now!! I had stored there on and off for 4 years and NEVER had any problems, then the new management came in and started imposing all these bogus new rules! I will NEVER use them again! And I tell EVERYONE I know NOT to use Extra Space Storage! Over a period of 4 months, I had to dish out $796.00 just to get my stuff out, thats more than DOUBLE the cost of my unit!! So happy we found Express Space Storage. Maria was terrific and very efficient. We were able to choose which unit we wanted by reserving them first. The unit we chose is all metal, very clean and even has an electrical hookup. We were in and out in no time feeling we had accomplished a very important task needed for our move and feeling we were in good hands. The only suggestion we would have is that when you go to pay for your unit, you should be told beforehand that there is a one-time administrative fee for handling the paper work. Beware leaky roofs. They wanted to charge extra for moving to a identical dry unit. POOR customer service.

So far we have had excellent service here. The customer service is top notch. I called and asked about a drainage problem in the RV section due to the rain and they said it was clogged and were already all over it getting it unclogged and working. That is what I call knowing what ids going on in your establishment. The people in the office are friendly and very nice and welcoming. So far we are happy having our RV stored here. read more

Staff and service was great until my rates kept going up every 5 to 9 months. As a new customer, you are offered a much lower rate than the "street price." However, to get you to that "street price", you will get your first increase after 5 months (at least 10%), then 9 months later you will get another 15% increase so that you are at the street rate. Calling the office manager does nothing as the "street rates" are set by Corporate. Which is true because I verified this with Corporate. However, Corporate did state that the leasee is in a month-to-month lease and that Corporate can raise the rates every single month if they choose to do so (aka to meet shareholder profitability requirements). Even paying every month on time does not matter. I've used other long term storage companies without these ridiculous frequent price hikes that Extra Space charges. Avoid this company's low introductory rate and go with a solid company that will lock in your rates. read more

I f you want to use this extra Space Storage especially in overland Temecula be carefull the Female person that she works there she is not a honest person, I did rent 3 units from her and I gave them the credit card number for monthly rent, the 2nd month she called and she said the credit card it does not work, I told her to cancel my credit card and I told her that I am going to bring a check for you from now on, And I did that and yesterday I find out that she gets a check from me and she also charge my credit card, I told her why did you do that she said I didn't know that I asked her to refund my money back to credit card and she said any money that we collect it is not refundable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And also lots of cockroaches in the boxes when I called the headquarter to complain I find out there are the real crook and problem.anyway Think twice before you rent a space from them.
