I read about The Holiday's on Trip Advisr and was pleased to find mid-week openings the next week. I paid for one night in advance, but after the fun my granddaughter had that first day, I paid for another night and am glad to have done so. The turquoise and white trailer, "The Drifter" is adorable, as are all four units. Andy, the owner/ manager is friendly, easy to reach by phone, and stops by each day to provide for the needs of his current renters, and to prep for the next to arrive. With an included fridge, freezer, 3 burner stove, plates, cups, mugs, utensils, bbq utensils, sink with running water, heat, ample sleeping for 4, bath towels, beach towels, USB ports, board games, cards, and a bluetooth sound system, the trailer offers plenty of convenience for its diminuative size. For a small extra charge a generator provides AC, microwave and electricity. Each trailer gas picnic table, charcoal bbq, and a firepit... though we joined other campers at the communal firepit and enjoyed making new friends. The Holiday's Community has a shared storage shed filled with complimentary games (Jenga, Cornhole, Horseshoes, oversized Checkers, Bocce Ball, etc.) beach supplies (umbrellas, boogie boards, noodles). The beach is gorgeous... there are two paths to access the beach, one is quite steep and the hike back up is tough. The other path nearest to the Visitor Center is less steep. All in all, big props to The Holiday's! I will definitely be returning.

We were really looking forward to our stay, but when we arrived at our campsite, there was an…read moreactive colony of large harvester ants throughout the area where we were supposed to pitch our tent. These ants are known for having one of the most painful stings in North America, so we didn't feel it was safe or reasonable to set up our tent there. When we expressed our concerns, we were initially told, "It's nature," which felt dismissive. We understand that insects are part of camping, but an active colony of stinging ants directly in the campsite is different from seeing a few bugs. We also noticed cigarette butts scattered around the campsite, which made it seem like the site hadn't been cleaned or maintained very well before our arrival. To the campground's credit, they explained they were completely booked and couldn't move us to another site, and they did provide us with a full refund, which we appreciated. We just wish the campsite had been inspected and cleaned before guests arrived, and that our concerns had been taken more seriously from the start. We had no other choice but to go home. Waste of money (buying camping gear, food and gas to drive there) and time!

Management at Weekend Paradise is extremely unprofessional and unsafe. They openly speak poorly…read moreabout residents to other residents, sharing personal and private information that should never be disclosed. They will divulge information about current residents to anyone who calls, regardless of whether that person has any right to that information. Illegal activity is ignored and covered up by management. If someone dislikes you and feeds management false information, it is taken as fact. You are then issued a 30-day eviction with no explanation. When you ask why, management claims they are "not at liberty to discuss it with you," yet they have no problem discussing your personal business with a stalker who calls the office asking questions about you. This created an extremely unsafe situation for me and my family. The behavior from management is childish and aggressive. Screaming matches with residents are common, followed by management gossiping about those residents to others in the park. We should never know who is being evicted or taken to court unless the resident chooses to share that themselves. On top of all of this, the constant sewage smell, overwhelming flies, and overall discomfort make this place unbearable to live in. This park lacks professionalism, safety, privacy, and basic human decency. I do not recommend Weekend Paradise to anyone.

I felt it was time around 2021 to get involved in some of the committees and see what was going on with our HOA and meet the BOD. In my opinion, WOW Was I surprised to find out we had a good old boy board, In my opinion If you weren't one of their friends or close acquaintances You were not on the board and no chance of being placed. I can speak from experience, I ran for the board next thing I know, I have the board president knocking on my door she asked me to resign so they could put one of their good old boy friends in. I felt at that time I didn't want to deal with this kind of BS so decided to resend my application. After much thought, meeting some really good people in the community that were trying to do the right thing, I stood fast. I joined the Finance Committee went toe to toe with the good old boys BOD. I was one of the main focuses of developing the rental cap committee because I had foreseen a problem with more than 25% of the community being rentals. There was a vote 50% plus one and it passed. It's 2026 now and I can say from experience things have completely turned around. We have a top-notch general manager onsite now and the board is active, transparent and making some awesome changes. Mountain Shadows RV Resort is a beautiful place to live, very affordable and welcoming. I would recommend Mountain Shadows RV Resort.

When walking anywhere inside the park where it's safe. You can only walk your dog to the gate to go outside of the gate to walk your dog. I'm riding my bike with my dog when I stopped with my dog at the I'm riding my bike I stopped at the corner so my dog can do her usually smelling the fire hydrant. . A lady from the HOA walked up to me with a piece of paper demanding I take it so I will know where me my dog is allowed to walk to the outside gate.

Photo copy of DL and Rv registration.All this to rent a Rv space for two months for $1400. At age 75 I have never Ben asked for more than a CC# and show my DL at arrival . Not wanting to buy the park. You give that much information than wonder why your identity and credit rating was destroyed.

Probably the biggest problem was geese and duck population. Poop everywhere and the noice level starting at 5:30 am through dusk. Trash pickup finally did come.... someone finally weekwhacked weeds (no grass whatsoever) Trash, cigarettes butts, glass everywhere. Sorry Thousand Trails, I know you can do so much better!!

The only major problem we encountered was the horrible bathhouses. We tried two, but they were both very cramped with only a single shower stall. And, they were filthy.
