    Great views from our seats

On a recent trip to Boise this past week for Thanksgiving visiting our oldest daughter and SIL we found out that Boise was playing in town and of course this was in the list. Took my youngest daughter My Homie( only girl out of four that loves going to sporting events) and my SIL. Had a great time! This venue was super easy to get in/out of you plus inside really super nice and clean. In addition what was also was great is how friendly everyone was here even in the concessions. Sorry I have gone to lots of sporting events in California and that's hardly never the case. So it was a real pleasure to go to a game here and plan on being back more often now that My Homie is moving here in the fall for school. So nice excuse to check out some more games and visit.

I had very low expectations for this arena, but I ended up really impressed by it! I took my 14 year old daughter to see 5 Seconds of Summer (don't judge ) here. We had floor seats. The event & arena staff were great. Everyone was really nice, maintained control without being jerks, & allowed for not only an enjoyable experience, but a really cool vibe as well. The price of parking was only $10 & we were up front. A bottle of water was only $3. It was nice to be able to go out to a venue and not need to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for it! The sound quality was great & the A/V was on point. Great job Taco Bell Arena! I can't wait to see another show here!

Like most concert venues, TB Arena is only as good as the staff. They were direct and polite. Nothing more. Which is understandable when you constantly are answering the same questions from drunk fans of a band you don't even like. I showed up to see Slipknot, which was cool, but that's besides the point. The venue was clean, egress was easy, and the seats were reasonably priced. Had to pay $5 for parking, which I thought was unnecessary, but hey, everyone has to get their bite I suppose. Consider taking a cab or Uber if you was to drink and avoid the parking fee.

Absolutely, the worst place in the US to see a concert. You can't hear unless your on the floor. And, it is way overpriced for the venue.

I have been to several arenas around the west to watch sports and concerts and while Taco Bell Arena is a bit dated, it serves its purpose AND there really isn't a horrible seat in the place.

"20$ online, 25$ door" okay cool, ill bring 25$ bucks we get there all excited to finally get in, buut noo.... there's actually a fee! oh, okay cool, i dont have the cash for that on me, was not trying to bring unnecessary money that'll fall out of my pocket so... i tell em, okay..well yall didnt say that on any...of the flyers, i will literally show you hahah cuzzz that is kind of crazy i am being so for real when the lady at the front just goes "ohhh wellll umm.." and trails off, couldn't even explain likee.. why.. there is a fee and why it wasn't listed oh, also they kind of DONT do split payments, sooo you actually can't pay the rest on your card, sorry! if it werent for the really cool guy behind us in line who covered me and my friends tickets, we wouldve been cooked. so thank you very much random guy. the dumb surprise fee event has happened to me everytime ive been here, so yeah. dont come here unless you reallllyyyy have to...lol

My family and I attended an event at this venue, and what should have been a fun, memorable…read moreexperience turned into one of the most upsetting and unprofessional situations we have ever dealt with. Moments before Silverstein was about to take the stage, a female employee aggressively confronted us without warning. There was no polite request, no conversation--just sudden hostility and yelling. The supposed "issue"? My six-year-old daughter was on my shoulders while we were standing OFF TO THE SIDE, near the handrail, purposely away from the center so we wouldn't block anyone. We had already watched three bands this way for over two hours without a single problem. No one around us ever complained--quite the opposite. Many people were excited to see a child enjoying her first concert and told us how awesome it was. People were smiling, cheering her on, and taking photos of how much fun she was having. When this employee stormed over and started yelling aggressively, several concertgoers immediately spoke up for us. They told her clearly that my daughter wasn't bothering anyone, wasn't blocking anyone's view, and was just a little kid enjoying the moment. Instead of listening--or acting like a professional--the staff member told these guests to mind their fing business*, loudly and aggressively, right in front of my daughter. My daughter burst into tears instantly. She was terrified and confused and kept saying she didn't understand what she did wrong. This altercation absolutely devastated her, and no six-year-old should ever be treated like that at what should have been a joyful experience. We supported the venue fully--we bought tickets, we purchased food and drinks, and we even paid to have our jackets stored in their cubbies. Despite all that, we were treated with nothing but disrespect and hostility. After being forced to leave the show entirely, I spoke to the young woman at the front desk. She told me directly that this has never been an issue in the past. When I asked to speak with someone in charge, they sent the exact same female security employee who had yelled at us. She walked up smiling--as if she was proud of the altercation or pleased with herself for causing such distress. It was disturbing and completely inappropriate. I later spoke with the General Manager hoping there would finally be some accountability. Instead, he acted as if he didn't believe what happened. He even stated that it was "impossible to post rules or regulations for their events--they just deal with problems as they happen." That attitude alone demonstrates the lack of structure, consistency, or professionalism at this venue. Despite multiple witnesses trying to defend us earlier, he dismissed nearly everything. In the end, he simply pushed a refund at us like that would somehow erase the harm done. A refund does NOT fix this. A refund does NOT erase my daughter's fear and heartbreak. A refund does NOT change the unprofessional, hostile behavior of the staff. In a blind effort to find answers--knowing full well the band was not responsible for the venue's actions--we contacted the band's management. Shockingly, the band's manager responded to us before the venue ever did. That alone says everything about who actually cares about their fans. It says even more that other concertgoers showed more empathy, common sense, and integrity than the venue's own staff and management. I hope this review helps other families understand the type of treatment they may face here. No child should ever leave their first concert crying because of a staff member's deliberate hostility. If the venue cannot handle enforcing rules respectfully, cannot create a safe and welcoming environment for all ages as they advertise, and cannot treat paying customers with basic human decency, then something is seriously wrong with how they operate.

What really stood out to me is that they greet you like they are truly happy to see you. Even on my first visit they made me feel welcome, and now every time I walk in they greet me like a familiar face and make me feel right at home. That kind of consistency and warmth is rare and says a lot about the people who work there. The space itself is fantastic. It is always spotless, the ambiance is relaxed, the music is great, and there are so many comfortable places to sit depending on your mood. Sometimes I relax on the couches, other times I grab a table or sit near the window and enjoy the view. They also have plenty of outdoor seating, which is perfect on sunny Boise days and makes it a great place to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. It is one of those places where you can easily spend time working, meeting someone, or just enjoying a great cup of coffee. They also have great food, which makes it even better whether you are stopping in for a quick bite or staying a while. Everything I have tried has been fresh and really good. You can also tell that management cares about both their employees and their customers. When a place is run well it shows through the staff, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, and District Coffee absolutely delivers. I am new to Boise and this is one of the first places I recommend when someone asks where to get great coffee or find a comfortable place to spend some time. I have also had great experiences at their other locations. Boise is lucky to have them.

I have asked if they can kindly put a lid and straw in for me after they make my drink and a majority of the staff has! I have had a few not so friendly stares when I asked but the majority of the staff have been so kind. I appreciate the extra step and the longevity of my new kidney does too. A small gesture like this goes a long ways and I am so grateful to those who have helped me out.

It is no wonder Esquire Magazine once called this spot "the one true classic in Boise." The atmosphere is steeped in history, featuring a stunning 114-year-old hardwood Brunswick bar and a beautiful turn-of-the-century National Cash Register. From the vintage cigarette machine by the door to the classic pool table, every corner of the saloon radiates character and charm. The history here is fascinating--it originally served as a grocery store before transitioning into the Stockman's Pastime Bar in the 70s, eventually becoming the Pengilly's we know and love in 1976. That legacy is felt in the soul of the building. The service is consistently excellent. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. Whether I'm ordering a Sex on the Beach or sticking to a Shirley Temple when I'm the designated driver, the drinks are always spot on. My fiancé usually goes for a double Jack and Coke, and we always have a fantastic time soaking in the live music performed by talented local artists. If you are looking for an authentic, historic, and lively spot in Boise with a warm atmosphere and great vibes, Pengilly's Saloon is the place to be. We can't recommend it enough!

We both got the traditional eggs Benedict... and I ate maybe 15% of my breakfast and just stopped. My husband ate all of his... but mostly because he was just hungry... Much like our Labrador who will eat absolutely anything! Haha. But he said it was only OK. He rated it a 5/10. What he disliked the most was the potatoes. They were fairly hard/tough and tasted like they were fried in old oil and sitting under heat lamps for two hours before we got them. They were very dehydrated as well. For me... The hollandaise sauce was fresh, but had no flavor. It needed more lemon or salt or something. The ham was odd... I'm a little too salty. It seemed like Hillshire Farms sliced ham. Not something you would expect at a nice restaurant in your eggs Benedict. Also, I ordered an Arnold Palmer... And it was so sour that I had to send it back. I poured like a heaping teaspoon of sugar into it, and it didn't even make a difference.... It was that sour. It actually started to make my stomach hurt a little. So I sent it back. And the waitress was very nice, and didn't charge me for it. The service was good... But they cram everyone in there on one side of the restaurant... at least outside. I have no idea why... They have all this space in front of their restaurant and yet they try and cram everybody right next to each other. It was very annoying, and made me just wanna leave. They have many tables on the other side like 10 feet away... But they insisted on cramming everybody into the same small area. And you could tell nobody wanted to be that close to one another. I'm not sure if they do this to make it easier for their servers... Or to make the restaurant look busy. Either way, it's a practice that they really should stop. My advice to the restaurant... Utilize your space outside in front, stop cramming people so close together. When you have to get up and move your chair so someone can get to their table... it's ridiculous! On a positive note... Their coffee was actually really good! Some of the best that we've had in a restaurant in many many years. And I know, I mentioned it above, but I should mention it again... The weight staff was wonderful. From the girl who greeted us at the front podium, to our waitress, and the waitressing training. Everyone was wonderful. So, to end this review... I can only comment on the breakfast. We didn't have anything else there, and maybe it will be good... But I'm not sure if I'm willing to give this place another try. Good luck!
