Sound booth directly in front on the VIP tables.

Nothing about tables 4,5,6 or 12.13,14 is VIP for the cost of the ticket. I would recommend saving your money and watching YouTube videos or purchase the cheap ticket and find standing room on the floor. Absolutely ridiculous!!! Before anyone thinks I'm just a complainer, the map does not show the sound table in the center of the VIP section.

I like this venue. It is super small which makes it super awesome. We got to see Pink Sweats concert here and it was great. We sat up in the balcony and had a great view! If you buy general then you are downstairs and standing the whole time so that wouldn't be as fun depending on what kind of time you are wanting. All the balcony seats seem to have a good view. The sound system and lightening was average but really wasn't expecting too much with that. It definitely could use a better cocktail menu. Everything said like pure sugar syrup with no alcohol. I think the open ceiling looks super cool. Overall looking forward to going to another concert there.

Amazing little venue. Great acoustics..in my opinion. I love when I have an opportunity to see a show here. Only been a few times. Hoping that increases, Haha. Went last week to see Phillip Phillips. Perfect place for him. Most Boise ppl have been to this venue, but if you're visiting and have a chance to see a show here...don't pass it up. Staff is super friendly too! I got me a free bottle of water! Ohhhh yeaaaah!!!

EVERYTHING was top of the line and there is no way our reunion would've turned out the way it did without the help of the team at the Knitting Factory.

It is no wonder Esquire Magazine once called this spot "the one true classic in Boise." The atmosphere is steeped in history, featuring a stunning 114-year-old hardwood Brunswick bar and a beautiful turn-of-the-century National Cash Register. From the vintage cigarette machine by the door to the classic pool table, every corner of the saloon radiates character and charm. The history here is fascinating--it originally served as a grocery store before transitioning into the Stockman's Pastime Bar in the 70s, eventually becoming the Pengilly's we know and love in 1976. That legacy is felt in the soul of the building. The service is consistently excellent. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. Whether I'm ordering a Sex on the Beach or sticking to a Shirley Temple when I'm the designated driver, the drinks are always spot on. My fiancé usually goes for a double Jack and Coke, and we always have a fantastic time soaking in the live music performed by talented local artists. If you are looking for an authentic, historic, and lively spot in Boise with a warm atmosphere and great vibes, Pengilly's Saloon is the place to be. We can't recommend it enough!

Annnnd since I know most lyrics of the bands I see, it is karaoke for me which is okie dokie. Getting there early-ish and finding a seat really helps. We drove 45 minutes to Boise, booked a hotel room, and planned our weekend around this show. One person in our group even used the rest of their vacation hours specifically so they could attend this concert. Because those were their remaining vacation hours, we chose this show over another concert the following week, assuming we'd at least get to see the artist we had planned for. When we arrived, we were completely confused. Instead of the electronic DJ So Down, there was band called So Down Boise playing. We actually stayed for a while because we thought maybe the DJ was still going to perform later. Eventually it became clear that the artist we had paid to see wasn't there at all. I understand that mistakes happen. But when a venue advertises or sells tickets for the wrong artist, the right thing to do is make it right. We didn't stay for the show because it wasn't the event we purchased tickets for, yet we were told we couldn't even get a refund. At that point, it wasn't about the $14 ticket. It was about the gas, the hotel, the time, and the vacation hours that were used for a concert that never happened. We put our home renovation projects on hold to make the trip. It doesn't sound like much but we literally had photos scheduled the following day for the sale of our home. Had we known the advertised artist wasn't actually performing, we would have skipped this event and gone to the show the following week instead. Instead, we ended up missing both. A simple apology and a refund would have gone a long way. Instead, we were left feeling like no one cared that we had spent our time and money on an event that wasn't what was advertised. That's incredibly disappointing and not how customers should be treated.
