I've certainly been in much larger and elaborate candy stores, but this small shop gives all it can in the downtown San Anselmo shopping area. I personally don't think telling customers they have one minute to buy something then telling other customers they can't come in because you're closed really warrants a 20%+ tip. The shop door could have simply been closed and the sign turned to let everyone finish browsing and let potential customers outside know you are closed in a polite and professional way, so this was our first and absolutely final visit to this location of Miette as we will not be coming back.

She invited us to her home for a tasting to make sure the chocolates were to our satisfaction (they were, of course). She also allowed us to try some new flavors she was working on, paired with some wine. It was so much fun and so delicious. We served the chocolates during our cocktail hour and they were a huge hit! There were none left over after the wedding. Eva also gave us an extra little box with assorted chocolates to eat on our honeymoon in Hawaii (which we did). Eva is seriously the best. My only advice: Don't chew the chocolates! Eva will literally yell at you because you're supposed to let them melt in your mouth. Haha! I recommend Eva's Delights to provide chocolates to anyone planning an event. I mean, who doesn't love chocolate?

You can even take it to the old back patio up the street and down the alley where they have seating and some basic facilitation like trash and sometimes water. There are menus up front in a basket right by the doors if you don't know what you want. Specials are posted up on cars in several areas. I really appreciate the speed they get well cooked food out once you place an order (remember that other people have placed orders over the phone and may seem like they are getting food faster than you). I get chicken in about 10 minutes since they have a lot of people on hand to handle each step of the process of cooking and boxing the meal. The staff up front have always been friendly (or not there long). Sodas and other drinks available cold, along with t-shirts, magnets, drums and a ton of other cool stuff on the racks to the side and everywhere else.
