I recently purchased a car from Extreme Auto Pros. I went there to look at a particular car which I saw they had online. When I arrived to look at it without calling them, I was told the car was not there and was being driven by the owner, and that I would need to come back the next day. I made an appointment to come back the next day, and I saw and test drove the car. I was happy with the salesman, he was very polite and friendly. I was happy with the car, so later that day I called the salesman and informed him that I was going to bring my wife there 2 days later to look at it since the car was going to be for her. We scheduled an appointment. My wife test drove the car and liked it, so we decided to buy the car. We scheduled a day and time to go to Extreme Auto Pros to purchase the vehicle. After purchasing the car, we pulled out of the parking lot and within 10 minutes the "check engine" light came on. I called the salesman, and he said it was probably a loose gas cap. To keep this short, I will not explain the minor repair attempts and how many times we reset the light. It always came back on after about 2 hours of driving every time. I called the salesman again and explained our situation. I told him the dealer looked at it and said the evap canister was severely damaged and had a large hole in it, causing the light to illuminate. I thought it was impossible so I asked him to show it to me, and he walked me out to the car which was still lifted in the air and showed it to me. The estimate was approximately $900 to repair. I contacted the salesman again and explained my situation. I told him I understand I purchased a used car from him and any issues after I pulled off the lot would be my responsibility, but since the light came on with 10 minutes of leaving his car lot, I believed they knew about the problem prior to selling the car to me. Extreme Auto Pros has their own service garage with mechanics. As I looked back at the surprise visit to see the car and was told it wasn't there that day, I have to wonder if the light was in need of reset and that was why I wasn't allowed to see the vehicle. The next 2 visits were scheduled, so they may have reset the light prior to my arrival? I don't know, but since it was only 10 minutes from purchasing the car, and I didn't even try to move him down on the price at all, I was hoping they would at least cover 1/2 of the repair bill. The salesman told me not to get it fixed just yet because he would definitely help me out in some way, so I waited. It has been about 4 months now and the phone calls have stopped, so I had it repaired myself and paid just over $900 for it. I am not advising anyone to not shop here, I just wanted to put my story out there to give others a heads up and be alert of things to look for when looking at cars at Extreme Auto Pros. I really wish I had that information prior to making that mistake. At the end of the day, I purchased a used car from a used car lot, so I can only blame myself for not looking deeper into the vehicle. read more

I recently had an oil change by Extreme Auto Pros. A couple days after I noticed an oil stain on my drive way. I called Extreme and they told me to bring my car in. They inspected the filter and found it to be faulty. They replaced it, did a new oil change and cleaned the engine at no charge. They were very quick and professional at all times. I came here with a Groupon for a full detail, inside and out. The work took about 6 hours; I was able to get my car back in 1 day. I was really happy with the work done. The nooks and crannies around the cup holders and old ash tray were cleaned well. The carpeting around the gas and brake pedals that had been caked with dried salt from the winter was all vacuumed and shampooed away. The exterior of the car was shining like the day I bought it which for a black car I know is not an easy accomplishment. The drop off and pickup/payment process was quick and the staff was friendly. Extreme Auto Detailing is the best place to take your vehicle if you needed the interior or exterior cleaned. I got my car stuck in the snow and I had mud all in my engine and the undercarriage so I took it to them in hopes that they could clean my engine and make it look better. I was shock at the result. My engine honestly looked cleaner then when I first bought my car new last year. I had them detail the exterior and interior as well, and again, I was shocked at the results. Not only was the work they did fantastic, but they had an amazing staff that was helpful and friendly. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with the work that was done. Had to update my review I've been going here for three years and will never go back I believe they have some lackluster new employees working there With absolutely no oversight and or quality control They did a horrible job on both of the cars that I brought , by missing spots , not completely cleaning things or wiping them down and not even vacuuming out my trunk I Looked under my mat to see that the carpeting was clean and there was this large 6 inch stain on my carpeting. I purchased a Groupon for EAD for $175 (not cheap!). I waited over a month for the apt. I called on two days before the apt to confirm. It was confirmed by the lady on the phone for 9:15am this morning. I went this morning to the address listed, and the gentleman there said the business is down the street, two doors down. I went to that address, and they said the business is no long in business, or "maybe somewhere further down the st." I called the listed number on Groupon 6 more times and it went to voicemail. I requested a refund. This is extremely unacceptable for any business (if they are even in business anymore?) DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON! read more

Took a recently purchased car there. Car was quite dirty. They kept the car for 24 hours. I really wasn't that impressed, Windows still have dirt streaks on them, review mirror also. The headliner and sun visors weren't even touched. Body looks great, rims still have dirt on them. In total car looks a lot better but for 260$ I expected a lot more. read more

I really wanted to love this place because of the wonderful reviews it has received and because I've been looking extensively into finding a great auto detailing place since moving to Cleveland. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory for my BMW. I purchased a groupon for a full detail. Finding this place was only a little challenging as it's tucked in the back of a parking lot but that was no problem overall. Checking in was fine -- a gentleman told me to park and pull in to check-in. My appointment was at 9 AM and I was told the car would be done between 2-3 PM. They were kind enough to give me a ride to a nearby shopping center so I could spend my time there until my car was ready. Around 12 PM, I received a call that my car was ready. I was both pleasantly surprised and skeptical. Good news -- they were efficient and done earlier than anticipated. Bad news -- made me worry they had rushed through their job and had made some shortcuts. When I arrived to pick my car up, the check-out process was easy and efficient. Now, on to the detailing job.... The outside was MOSTLY clean...aside from some missed spots near the tires (3 of the tires) that had dirt still on the outside and was very visible. I literally had to wipe it off with my own hands. And I thought the full detail included a full HAND wash, clay bar, AND wax? They literally had 3 chances to see these dirty spots and still failed to get it off. I was able to wipe it off with my bare hands so it's not like they were difficult to remove and stuck-on. Also, I've clay barred my car at home in the past and have done a better job (I'm able to get the surface smooth to the touch), but running my hands over my car, I was able to feel some dirt still embedded in my outer coat. To be honest, the outside looked like nothing more than an overpriced car wash. On to the inside... They did a good job cleaning my floor mats, except they applied some superrrrr slippery substance on my all-weather mats so every time I get in, it's all oily and slippery. What makes them think this is desirable?!?! I had to wipe the oil all off with some napkins. They half-heartedly cleaned ONE of my TWO cup holder liners. The other, they FLIPPED OVER instead of cleaning. Ummm..what??? When I flipped it back over, it was still dirty and hadn't been cleaned. They left a grey handprint on my beige leather on the backseat, an oily handprint on my dashboard, and the part I am most disappointed about....they THREW AWAY SOME OF MY PERSONAL DOCUMENTS that were on the side door pocket. I had some parking receipts and parking vouchers for my work that I had yet to use, and they tossed this. They also threw away my clean napkins that I keep there for emergencies as well as my water bottles I had on the side door pockets. In all, I could have forgiven the less than desirable cleaning job, but messing with my personal documents was unforgivable and I had to fork out the money to purchase new parking vouchers for work. Extreme Auto Detailing: please do not touch anything on the side console, especially personal documents! This only makes me think they went digging through my car, so I'm glad I removed most of my valuables. All in all, I wish I had not purchased this Groupon. I will be taking my car elsewhere for a full detail from now on. :( read more

I found Extreme Auto Detailing online, read the great reviews, read over the website and liked what I saw. I wasn't comfortable making my appointment online without first talking to someone about my car so I went to the location to talk to a person. I was very unsure where to go, lots of people around but I finally found the little office in the back of the shop. The gentleman came out to look at my car and quoted me a price over $230, for the Interior detail that was listed for $80 on the website. Said that the cloth seats were extra, however it is part of what is listed on the website, "shampoo & Clean Extract Carpets, Floor Mats & Seats." I mentioned the price difference and he said that was for leather, I didn't know you shampooed leather seats!! I left there feeling like I got the bait & switch, I did not make an appointment because I didn't feel comfortable that I was getting the right price. They need to stick to the prices they list or don't list them! Bad service! read more

This place will not vacuum the car interior as part of a car wash. Any car wash place I've been to will do that. If you pay $125 for an exterior detail, it includes a car wash; they still won't vacuum the interior. If you want the interior vacuumed, you have to pay for a $50 detail. I just feel like they're not trying hard enough. Oh and by the way, the last time I did a $100 exterior detail here, a car wash was included, but they left all the door jambs untouched. So basically, if you want your car detailed here, first drive to a self-service car wash and clean it yourself. After my last detail, the cashier gave me my receipt but not my key. I assumed it was in the car but no, she had it. Since she had left the desk, I had to wait 10 minutes before I had no choice but to reach through the window and look for my keys on her desk. To add insult to injury, my receipt came with a printout, asking me to write a review on Google in exchange for a free car wash. First, a business is NOT supposed to pay you a bribe to write a review. Yelp specifically discourages that. Second, if I have to make a second trip to a self-serve car wash to vacuum the inside and clean the door jambs, I'm not sure if a "free car wash" is worth a trip. read more

When it came to detailing my 2007 Ford Mustang, I looked at quite a few detailers, with most charging a couple hundred bucks for an exterior detail. I ended up going with Extreme at the Parma location. They got my car in by 9:30am and out by 1:30pm...this also included detailing my engine bay. The exterior and engine bay came out FANTASTIC! I took my car in to get the inside detailed. My car is 7 years old and had never been detailed. My husband got the detail for me for a gift. They did a great job but nothing was as described with pricing, etc. first of all, when I arrived they asked me "what price I was thinking". I said, "well, what I saw on the website was..." And he proceeded to tell me that the website is outdated. The price was $50 more, and when I was hesitant (I.e. About to leave), he dropped it a few bucks acting like he did me a favor. Sadly, the reason I drove across the city to this place was because of what was represented on the website. Also I scheduled online and they had no record of it. My car was broken into a few weeks ago and I kept finding shards of glass everywhere after cleaning it out numerous times. Dangerous when you have kids climbing in and out of your car to get into their carseats. I thought getting it detailed would guarantee I would finally have a clean/safe car again. I found Extreme Auto Detailing because of a groupon offer I was emailed. I called ahead to see if they had a key drop so I could leave it the night before my appointment, but they didn't. Not the end of the world, I just had to get some extra help dropping it off since I couldn't do it myself. When I got the car back, the outside looked magnificent. The inside smelled fresh and clean and at first glance, looked great. I drove to work the next morning and found glass in the coin holder. I decided to look around closer when I got to work and sure enough I found more glass in the back seat. I'm not sure if I got a "quick" job because I paid with a groupon, or that I needed to point out that they should be on the lookout for pieces of glass. But like I said, I wasn't able to drop it off myself and maybe I just got what I paid for. I won't be recommending your business. From the other reviews it seems you guys are doing great. Absolutely amazing! While driving from Dayton back to Cleveland my very large Doberman had a very large accident in the backseat of my car. Knowing that there was no way I could clean it myself I took it to Xtreme. They did an incredible job. Absolutely no evidence that this accident ever occurred! My car looks and smells brand-new. I'm grateful they fit me in on short notice, and I rewarded them with a horrid trainwreck of a car that had been bitchslapped by our recent hellish winter. Overall, it was good work. Not as good as my usual guy, but very good. The exterior was very nice, with the only blemishes a few tar specks left on my wheels. The inside was good. No overspray. No overdoing it with shining products. My only quibble is that they left a bit of crusty salt behind. I took my car to the new Maple Heights location and I could not have been more impressed. The exterior of my car was a mess after some pipes leaked in the garage I park in- lots of calcium build up. I was kept in constant contact with regarding the status of my vehicle. They asked ME when I wanted it to be completed and sure enough it was. Not only did they have it ready for me by my lunch break, they even offered to drop it off for me! The car was spotless when I arrived. Having a new tuxedo-black car, I am used to doing my own detail work. Needless to say, Jim and his crew at Extreme Auto Detailing went above and beyond to make my car look brand new inside and out! The professionalism, personableness, and quality I received at Extreme Auto Detailing outperforms any other detailing business I've experienced in the past! I would give Jim six stars for his business if I could. Here's the six-star moment: I was worried about, what appeared to be, a residue on my black rims. After my car was finished and I saw that the "residue" was still there, I asked Jim about it. He took the time to show me that it was actually the clear coat that is tarnished. But, Jim didn't leave me with a "sorry about your luck" feeling... he went out of his way to collaborate and problem solve with me on how to get my wheels looking brand new. Now, that dedication and thoughtfulness is found few and far between when it comes to service businesses! I had an AMAZING experience at Extreme Auto Detailing this past weekend. It was the first time we got my wife's 2007 Honda Pilot detailed, and it was well worth the money. We even added the wax protection which was honestly the best $60 I ever spent. The car really shines now, and the treatment even removed many of the unsightly surface scratches. The interior was spotless, and the engine was as clean as it was coming off of the assembly line. The entire crew was fantastic, led by the manager Jim Gasper. I will certainly take my cars back to EAD next time I need some detailing done. By the way, I also used a Groupon we bought and can't imagine the service would have been any better had we paid full price. That just goes to show you the amount of pride they take in their work.
