I had to take time off work. McConnell knew this. McConnell cancelled my appointment and gave me no effective advance notice; they let me know when I walked in the door for the appointment. It's 30 miles round-trip to their business. They have almost no customer wait area. There were thunderstorms in the area but when I arrived McConnell was open, customers going in and out of their business. The tint business next door and other area businesses, all open. Weather cleared up nicely as I drove home. I attempted to reschedule the install, but after a series of emails, it became clear McConnell was not trying to accommodate reschedule. They implied they might not refund my deposit. Finally, I quit playing their games and cancelled. They wasted my time and I lost a $20 tint deposit because of them. At least in this instance, they act like customer service, they could care less.

Update from my previous review (below)…read more I left an ozone generator and multiple desiccant tubs in my car over night Saturday and Sunday nights to try to dry out any remaining water in the dash. As of Monday, 3/11, the turn signal had started working again. The dealer confirmed that if it was working normally now, that most probably it would be fine going forward. Overall, the tint job on my car is very nice. There is one spot on the dash where what appears to be grass is between the windshield and tint, but it's unobtrusive enough that I'm not going to bother with it. The tint lines are clean, my car is cooler on the inside, and looks great from the outside. I'm happy with the tint but the water in my dash experience definitely was a black mark on the whole thing. I would definitely go back to A-1 tint pros, but when I do, I will be much more diligent about protection they put down to prevent water going into the dash. REVIEW FROM 3/9 BELOW Took my 2018 WRX STI in to get tinted today. Tint looks great, the side effects of it though...not so much. I've been working with Eric who has been professional and has not tried to pressure me into any types of upsells. He's been great to work with for scheduling and was able to get me set up and seen for a tint in 24 hours, which I appreciate. The tint was done at the Raleigh location and was quick for getting all the windows tinted (windshield - clear, everything else - tinted). The car looks great, I do hope that some of the waviness in the tint comes out as the tint cures. I was told this waviness was due to water still under the tint that had to come out just over 3-5 days. On the drive home though is when the problems start. About 5 minutes out after I leave my left turn signal begins to flash at waaaaay faster than normal speed, and I'm not signaling left as well. After that the signal starts blinking normally, completely uncommanded. So I ended up driving home with my left turn signal going constantly with nothing I can do about it. I call Jason (the owner) and he tells me that it may "just need to reset itself" and that there's a very low probability that any water from the tinting process could get into my dash. On arrival home, I start pulling off dash pieces to investigate and find the picture you see below. Obviously an appreciable amount of water has gotten into the dash of my car from the tinting process and it is now causing electrical issues. I call Jason again with this evidence and he promises to make this right and I really hope he does. I will go to the dealership in 2 days to find out what's going on. More to come.

I was treated with respect and they were very responsive. They listened to what we wanted to have done (oddly enough, most of the other places didn't!). And they did everything exactly the way we wanted. They finished faster than they said they would have it done and they were $900 less than other places we went to. (Probably because they actually listened to what we wanted!) They tried to problem solve and think through things instead of jumping to the easiest solution. We walked away feeling very confident that we were dealing with professionals and experts in their field. Customer service was excellent! We really enjoyed working with them and will be back if we have any other needs! We are very pleased with the work they did!

I have bills of being overcharged for extra charges that I did not request. I have pictures of the used tires that they gave me when I paid for new ones.I would highly recommend staying away from this person.Because his lawsuit didn't go so well in virginia, and he has one now in north carolina. I can't speak for the people that work for him.But I do know he does not pay them when they're supposed to be paid. He actually holds back their pay.And the sad thing is, he doesn't care who he destroys and what pockets he takes out of. Stay away from this company.
