Kanisha charged me to replace coils and my valve cover gasket and did not complete the work. I paid her in cash and she disappeared with my money and is refusing to answer calls or text messages. At the initial appointment I let Kanisha know I forgot the part. She did not opt to reschedule once I had the part but instead tried to charge me more stating she would have to divide the task up. She then agreed to do this if I paid the full amount in cash and she was able to reschedule at her leisure. I agreed and gave her $180.00 upfront. On the following Tuesday (for the appointment she rescheduled) she texted me to say she had an emergency and would need to reschedule again. I did not complain because she made it seem as if she was doing me a favor. The next day she did not text or call when she arrived. However I received a text saying that the part was the wrong size, that the problem was not fixed, and that if she had to come back out to fix what she had already been paid for she would be charging me the full price! She has now stopped responding! I am so disappointed. I was really excited to find a female mechanic because I was tired of male mechanics attempting to take advantage.....Looks like it is just mechanics in general.
