Sometimes recommending a company when they don't work on your house, can be more important when they do. Let me explain. A few years ago Jason at Extreme helped us out with a large job at our house. He was fixing a problem we had with other work that was done. His work was quick, perfectly done and reasonably priced. Fast forward to this past Friday. We lost power on this and our hot water didn't work when the power came back. The cold water ran fine, but no hot water although the water heater was working. I called Jason and he told me it sounded like it could be a frozen pipe. He asked me if I saw a leak and I told him I didn't. He then told me, if I wanted, to ride it out because the temperature was rising and by the morning the pipes should unfreeze on their own. The next morning, the hot water came back fine, just as he said. He could have taken the service call and charged whatever he wanted, and we would have paid to get back hot water. He was honest and once again he proved that Extreme Plumbing can be trusted. That's more important to me thank any other trait. Thank you Jason! read more

They are very professional, and go above and beyond to make sure to do the best job possible. They could have easily used inferior products but instead they used top of the line piping and fittings without me even asking. They finished the job so quickly I could not have been happier. Just brought the guys in, and they showed up *EXACTLY* when they said they would (which seems so rare). All that I did was bring them in to help some slow drains, and my wife asked them to look at a few things. They went above and beyond, helping us figure out the cause of some leaks that had nothing to do with the plumbing, but gave us recommendations on what to do AND hooked us up with a handy man to take care of the issues! We've spent years looking around for different plumbers, trying different people, but the search is over. This is my plumber, now. Highly recommend! Had an emergency repair on a Sunday to a clogged drain and pipe repair. Called multiple services but nobody answered. I honestly do not know how this place has five star reviews and such high ratings. Jason is one of the most unprofessional guys ever. If you want to get a job from him definitely sign a contract with him and get a fixed price on paper from him, do not go by his word of mouth. He gave us one price and then when the job was almost done told us we need to pay him three to four grand more on top of what he had finalized with us. he finished a job that should have taken him four days and he dragged it on for three months. As per him, the staff got covid a million times and that was the reason why our job kept on getting delayed. Get a fixed quote on paper and also get Something written and signed that will tell you when he will finish the job. read more

Jason and his team have done a bunch of work for us since we moved into our new home in Merrick. He and his team did have been incredible over the last few months. We first reached out to Extreme Plumbing when our sewer was backed up over the weekend. He came the next day and unclogged our system for. While he was there we also discussed converting to natural gas from oil to heat our home. He gave me a lot of information about what type of system we would get and the benefits of each system we should use. They have also connected our water line for our fridge, fixed the line to our dishwasher (it was leaking and we didn't even know!), fixed our sink and much more! Also, not sure if he does this for everyone but while we were waiting for national grid to install our gas meter, we ran out of oil twice and both times he came to restart our furnace so we could have heat without cost. That was unexpected and really way above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. read more

It's hard enough finding a plumber with integrity that charges a fair price but for a company that charges a premium and does sub prime work these guys are the worse. I had my sprinkler system winterized a week before I had these guys work on my baseboards. These guys turned on the valve to the sprinkler system. How do you get it wrong as a plumber? Well my sprinkler went off in freezing weather a few days later and my yard became a ice rink. When we called to ask if they turned it on by accident they blamed my 3 year old son who wouldn't even be able to reach the valve. I was shocked that they would blame a 3 year old who could not reach or have the strength to turn the valve on. These guys are by far the worst. You need plumbing don't use these guys!!!! read more

This is a shame I have to write a review on a company that the owners have worked very hard to get some great reviews. But unfortunately when you make an appointment, don't show up once but twice and hang up on my wife when trying to confirm when you are coming is not acceptable. After the first no-show, they were contacted again and appointment was set for 4, in which the guy just blatantly did not show up. Well good thing these guys were not the only plumbers in town, they were just the one that was recommend due to their expertise and professionalism. Too bad neither was there. In this day and age of competition business's strive to give the best possible service because they know that word of mouth advertising is still the strongest form of it. When someone totally incompetent, someone who takes no pride in their job, someone who lacks the professionalism well, they deserve no props, in fact they deserve no customers. read more
