I tried their chicken and shrimp bento box today and was mostly impressed. The chicken, shrimp and white rice were all very good, and the sauce atop it was a nice compliment. The wontons were also good, as was the salad. The sushi, however, left a lot to be desired. It was on the hard side and not very flavorful. Masking it with soy sauce and wasabi helps a bit, but it was still a fail. But overall I enjoyed the box and would try it again - I'll just manage my expectations relative to the sushi! read more

What a great find! The manager was so nice, the food was delicious, and they were open late on a Sunday night, which we really appreciated. I got the Specialty Rolls: Salmon Dream (Salmon Tempura Rolls) which were cooked salmon in nori & rice and then deep fried and drizzled with sauce. Very fresh and delicious. I also had a kani salad, which was just strips of snow crab over strips of cucumber with sauce. difficult to eat but also tasty. He got a teriyaki chicken bento. He demolished the chicken and had a bit of most of the other parts of the box but was too full to finish. I will say that this place was hidden behind the Chipotle on Crain Hwy, so don't feel bad if you miss the turn. Just remember it's on the same side as Chipotle and Aldi on Crain Hwy. The food is great, it is rarely disappoints and is tastes very, very good. I am not big on the teriyaki sauce, just because I am not a big fan of it in any sitting. The seaweed salad is amazing, so please get that immediately! The sushi tastes wonderful, the fried rice that you can select to eat with your meal tastes clean and not so heavy on salt. I know America is a country of salt, so just know that there is more flavor than there is salt, you won't notice that you missed out on salt. I have been going to Extreme Teriyaki since they opened. They are consistent with their service and their food. Staff is friendly and they always make sure that your order is correct. The food is not only good, but always hot because it is cooked while you wait for it, and you can watch the cooks cooking it. I was so impressed with my first visit here. I know this place is has been here for at least a couple years and for some reason it took me that long to try it. Everything was very clean and they made each order fresh which makes a such huge difference. We got there not long after they open and surprisingly we were not the only people there. Several people came in to get carry out orders while we were dining. I got a Bento box and it was so delicious. It was a really good value for the money and I loved having the selection of different things. The sushi, the salad, the edamame all along with the meat and rice was so good. I love that you can get fresh green onion sprinkled on your meat and rice. My husband got a two meat combo with beef and shrimp. He raved about it! He loved the vegetables and in particular the cabbage. It just makes such a difference when they prepare each meal made to order. We loved the spicy sauce on the side too! I ordered 2 chicken and shrimp Teriyaki meals. The food was good, however there was a problem with my payment. I paid with a visa debit card, but after I checked my bank account there was a discrepancy in the receipt and the amount processed was slightly higher. I never added a tip nor authorized the higher amount. The cashier never said there are processing fees. Hopefully, this was a honest mistake and not the restaurant adding extra money after customers leave. read more

Order Teriyaki Salmon with fried rice, noodles and vegetables. Fast forever to eating this meal. A mess all grease Salmon tastes like sardines. The vegetables are wilted with grease. I will never ever ever patronize this establishment again. Just taking advantage of people offer no presentation or tastes. I feel like taking it back a waste of time and money. I have eaten here many times before and have always had the same issues. I have always been patient with them but the manager is extremely rude. I ordered my food and asked for no sauce, I was talking to someone on the phone so I assume they did not hear me clearly. When they were closing my food I asked if there was any sauce on my food and they said yes. I proceeded to tell them I do not want any sauce and if they could make me a new plate & that I do not mind waiting. Every time I speak up about them doing this to my order they always give me a hard time and blame me. On this particular day they did not want to change it in the beginning, I did not feel that there needed to be any further conversation because it was an easy fix but the manager grew more and more frustrated. I continued to tell him that I understand but maybe they did not hear me & I apologized for not speaking up louder but he still felt the need to lecture me about how I was wrong and that next time I need to say it at the front. I asked if I could get a refund if it was that difficult for them to do and they declined. I would agree with him but I did that and they still proceeded to make my order incorrectly, not once but on several different occasions. When I went home I realized they had put something in my food. When they re-made my order they did it mostly in the back where I could not see. I thought it was because I asked for tofu but my food tasted as if they poisoned my food with cleaning products (it had a strong taste and did not blend in with the food). I couldn't even eat my first bite without immediately noticing. I plan on reporting this to the police as my life was seriously put in danger over a small inconvenience. It's disappointing to know that my food was tampered with simply because I asked if they could remake it. I called them after noticing and expressed my disgust and disappointment. Give this place a try! This is a cute restaurant where you can get a quick teriyaki bite. The first thing that sticks out is the level of customer service. Everyone we interacted with were so friendly. They were sure to look at each of their customers in the eye and smile. Nice. For the food, it's pretty good. My boyfriend has the tofu. In his words, "The tofu was perfect in its crispness. We just wish that they were cut smaller so that its crisp texture can shine with every bite." I had the beef teriyaki. Again not bad at all! Wish it had a little more meat and less of the mushroom filler. Finally the atmosphere is super clean but a bit too open. Mainly because people tend to get their food and leave. We walked in to no line and barely anyone here. It looked clean and smelled good. It's your standard fast food teriyaki place that you'd find in a mall food court. Similar to Sarku and some other chains. It's not actually Japanese, but usually owned by Chinese people. The protein options are cooked to order. They have the basic sushi rolls, beef, chicken, shrimp, tofu and salmon teriyaki options as well as shrimp tempura and your choice of fried rice, steamed and lo mein noodles. My fiance got the chicken shrimp teriyaki bento box which came with a smaller teriyaki portion, edamame, salad (with thousand island dressing) and California roll. I got the regular order of shrimp and chicken teriyaki with no rice and veggies instead. It was decent. Not the best of the fast food teriyaki places, but edible. Nothing really called out to me here. The service was good for the most part. Although the owner had her 11-12 year old son working the register, and he was having a hard time which really was her instructing him what to do with each move which delayed the entire process. I don't forsee us coming back. But the prices are reasonable and if you like this kinda food, then this is definitely a good place to go. read more

Sunday we thought we would try a new lunch spot and settled on Japanese. This looks to be a new restaurant and fast food. They had their kids (10-11 yrs) at the register, which is fine, just would not want them helping with the food service. They have an open grill so you can see the food being prepared. Very clean and reasonably priced. Unfortunately the food was just ok. Had spring roll (mushy inside and not a fan, but nice and crispy outside) white rice with veggies were good but bland (I should have gotten fried rice), teriyaki chicken was very good, but the steak although tasty was very fatty, as much fat as meat - yuck! Husband had a bento box, which was just ok, again teriyaki chicken good, but salad and edamame was bland and the California rolls were not great.
