I've been to quite a few hot pot, Korean BBQ, and sushi fusion spots but this one didn't really do it for me. The quality and overall taste of the food just weren't there. They do offer a solid variety of options which is a plus and the service was okay. I'm a bit disappointed I didn't enjoy it more but it just didn't meet my expectations compared to other similar spots.

All You Can Eat Hot Pot, Korean BBQ & Sushi? Say Less! @tpotwaldorf just opened in Waldorf MD and it's already making waves. We pulled up with empty stomachs and high expectations and let's just say, they delivered on every level. We kicked things off with refreshing mocktails--Pineapple Mango Mojitos and Passion Fruit Tea--then dove into a sushi spread that included Passion Rolls, Peanut Avocado, Dragon, and Dynamite Rolls. The Korean BBQ Dinner? Next level. Think lamb, chicken, short ribs, bulgogi, crab legs, shrimp, dumplings, and all the veggies you can dream of, grilled right at the table. Shoutout to our amazing server Tangela. Ask for her when you go! I took off a star due to no alcoholic options. Nonetheless, it Affordable, family friendly, and flavor packed. This spot is a must visit in Charles County.

Recently drove up from VA as we are big hot pot fans and really liked our first visit. Wait was way quicker than quoted and service was attentive and friendly. Using the iPad to order is super easy and allows you to pace your food. Items in the buffet were great for quick grab and tasty! Multiple types of kimchi! My only complaint is how sweet some of the marinades are for items that are typically not sweet when you get directly from a Korean restaurant (bulgogi, spareribs were two here that were extremely sweet). Super clean and nice inside. It has a very modern feel and things were clean. Will definitely be back and would recommend to others.

It's official, the Big Spoon is a fan of Korean BBQ! For dinner on Thursday he said he had another spot to try in the Waldorf area. Super cute restaurant, it's giving FUN! We arrived to a busy restaurant, we didn't have a long wait which was nice considering how busy it was. This is probably going to be our favorite Korean BBQ restaurant once they get their liquor license. I'm not even going to get into it! There is too much food to list! We ate like Royalty! And...... they have Crab Legs! Come Try this Place! It doesn't disappoint!

I really enjoyed this place! The food was delicious! We got the package with 3 options. Bill came to about $400 and it was a alot of us. The customer service is really good. They did well with explaining everything and checkingon us. The drinks were good and there are several options! The place is cute and its clean. I can't wait to go back!

This was our first TPot experience. We got there early cause we thought they opened at 11. They actually open at 12. We were worried about going to a restaurant and having to cook our on food. We actually enjoyed the experience. It was great from the time we walked in until the time we left. The service was top notched. She was patient with us and explained everything very well. We went after Christmas so it felt good since seeing the Christmas decoration up all over the restaurant. The lunch menu is similar to the dinner menu. We will be back and we will try the dinner menu. The food was very good. If you go, go hungry because it is a lot of food. Remember you can't take home your leftovers.

Ended up ordering a little bit of everything, al la carte, because I didn't want kbbq or hot pot. Nor did I want to eat on someone else's clock. Maybe next time I'll order kbbq or hot pot, so I can enjoy the complimentary ice cream.

My party and I enjoyed our time at T-Pot Waldorf. Our server Tangela, was very attentive and friendly, she explained the process to us even though we were busy catching up and had to assist throughout the evening, we appreciated her willingness. The food was delicious tho it would've been more helpful for the names to be on the seasoning. Our non-alcoholic drinks were good but we didn't know that New restaurants in Waldorf were having trouble getting liquor licenses.

This is a hot pot. The soup base is miso. It contains fish balls, vegetables, mushrooms, udon noodles, and shrimp paste.

Does this location allow for single individual dining? I would like to visit on a Saturday when I have the time off from work around opening hours.

Any news on what the opening day is?

After tax and tip, it ended up being $49 per person, and that was without any added on premium stuff. The price can be considered steep but probably is standard for the area, and you do get a lot of food and options. Service was kind of nonexistent as other reviews have alluded to. The servers did not say much or explain anything. You even self serve yourself, hot tea, and ice water. You order the meats on your phone, such as lamb, beef, pork, chicken. Seafood such as shrimp and squid were all available at the buffet area. The whole variety of vegetables was laid out there, plus all kinds of fish balls, Ramen, noodles, shrimp paste, whole crabs, other toppings. There was of course a standard hot pot sauce bar. There was a fridge with premade ice cream cups for dessert. We got the bone marrow broth and the tomato broth them. Both were absolutely delicious. Overall, this was a very pleasant and comfortable hot pot experience. I think better service and a better hot bar in the buffet area would push this to five stars. The hot bar just had fried rice, fries, eggrolls that were very mediocre. Ambiance was okay in the restaurant.

It can get crowded inside, but it has never been intolerable. It is very well maintained and clean. Sometimes service may be slow but you will definitely be served. The cuts of meat and the wide variety of self serve hot pot options have never disappointed. The vegetables and mushrooms are always fresh and nicely prepared. I usually stick to lamb and beef, and if you are satisfied with those then go for it. The meat is consistently well balanced and never too lean or overly fatty. Just beautiful cuts. I have tried several broths including original, spicy, tomato, and pickled veggie chicken and all were exactly what you would expect and very satisfying. For such an established chain, it is impressive that it continues to get better. Recently they added more beverage options beyond the soda machine, which is already included with the dinner price, including my hot pot favorite drink, plum juice. One thing to note is that if you try to go on Fridays after 8pm, you will probably not get a seat. I went once, but the waitlist was already hours long by 7:30pm so I went elsewhere. As the name of this restaurant implies - the meats are the star of the show here. The self-serve veggie and noodle station leaves a bit to be desired - not the greatest selection - but sufficient for a hit of spinach or broccoli. I never see enoki mushrooms or crown daisy (Tong Ho) here - disappointing. Also, the floor gets unreasonably greasy to walk on about halfway through the day and stays that way for the rest of the night, so tread carefully! All of the meats on the standard AYCE menu are good/great quality. This is one of the only hot pots that does not require dipping sauce (even though I always concoct one anyways) because the broth is so permeating and flavorful. Best standard lamb I've ever had. Looking forward to trying the specialty lamb menu someday. So far it has been hard to resist the $21 midday weekday AYCE special, and the even better $17 "late night" AYCE special. This'll keep you coming back!

Overall, the food was good. Once seated, a server hands you an iPad where you'll order your food. To feed two adults and one child, all hungry, we ordered dan dan noodles, orange chicken, cucumbers, BBQ pork bao, pork dumplings, and, of course, soup dumplings. Every dish had good flavor. The dan dan noodles are more soupy compared to nearby Copycat, but it was still good. One odd thing that may be a one off, but worth noting is the wait time. With one other person there and no takeout pickups and three people in the kitchen, it took 35 minutes to get our first dishes. Over an hour later, we got our final dish- orange chicken. We couldn't figure out why there was such a long wait especially when other spots bring out the cucumbers within minutes of ordering. We were hungry so it added to the emotions, but worth calling out in case you're a rush.

The chicken pieces in the dish came in the form of gargantuan balls of mixed meat, varying between white and dark. Sometimes the texture was pure meat, other times the meats' texture was very slippery/tender and fatty all in the same chunk of chicken. Dumpling Hot Pot Beyond's Veggie Wontons in Scallion Sauce were very good. Most veggie wontons in the green wonton wrap have a similar 'vegetable' flavor that I'm not crazy about but these have less of that flavor. I loved the sauce. I was so excited to taste the Bean Paste Bao's as they are not easy to find. The Dan Dan noodles were served warm and mixed with a fragrant sauce. The noodles had less of a sesame or peanut taste than I'm used to. Also, we ordered the slightly spice heat level yet these were the hottest Dan Dan noodles I've ever tasted. (See photo of receipt indicating desired spice level.) I like things hot but Lord Almighty! I am - apparently - not woman enough. I loved the hot chili oil and container of hot chili flakes to add to the dishes. The basic rice was good, as well. Basics like white rice are not to be underestimated. We liked the texture. I'd go back to experience the hot pot and more dim sum options if I'm in the area.

The inside had a lot more tables than I thought and the space was bigger than I thought. If i'm being honest, I first chose this place due to the conveyor belt, robot, and $20 lunch price point. Unfortunately, I only kind of got one of those. To my shock, the price increased to $25 for lunch and the conveyor belt was no longer working. I was honestly most excited about the conveyor belt. I saw some reviews that said due to covid they stopped it but if you ordered things, it was sent that way. Unfortunately I think the conveyor belt hasn't been in use for a while because they had decor and everything on it. They did have to robot but it only delivered drink and desserts sometimes. There were even times the robot was on its way to deliver something and the waiter stopped it in the middle of the walkway and deliver the item himself. I wouldn't say the experience was bad but I think it was subpar. Although I did like that the tables give you individual pots because I've been to some places where six people have to share one pot in the middle and it's chaos because you have to reach over people so the individual pot was great. In terms of the actual food it was not bad. The server was actually nice and brought us angus beef which was a dinner item, although we were there for lunch. I mad a great sauce from the sauce bar. I loved the appetizers they had. The fried rice and noodles were exactly how I love it. The fried rice was how i'd have it growing it. All and all loved it and will probably go back at some point. Everything was good except for one thing, which I think is pretty important and influences my final score. When we arrived, I told the server we were new to hot pot and we wanted to try two broths. He showed us the iPad ordering device and told me that we should order a half and half pot for $1 extra to get two broths. So, I ordered a half and half pot, and then ordered a variety of meats and fish. We went up to get veggies, which were all being stored at a good cold temp and all looked good. Then a single SMALL pot (they have two sizes of hot pot) was delivered to our table, half one broth and half the other. As I put some of the ingredients in (we were feeding two people), the hot/spicy broth spilled over to the other (tom yum) broth, and essentially turned the whole meal into a spicy broth meal. We got no taste of the tom yum. As we ended the meal, I noticed that other couples had two different pots. We essentially were cramming food for two people into a single pot (and it was one of the small pots, not one of the big ones). As we went to pay the check, I asked the server if we should have gotten two individual pots, each with a different broth. He said "oh yes. I should have told you that." What??!!? So, we basically spent well almost $90 (including tip) for a single small pot of spicy broth mixed with other broth, and having to spend the time minimizing the transfer of broths from one side to the other by minimizing the amount of food we put into the small pot. Yes, I'm ticked off (and I don't tick off easily). The meal would have been very good, but I feel like we got taken advantage of and the server, when he saw us struggling to keep the broths separate and knew he should have been served two pots, didn't say a word, apologize, or offer us any discounts. I reached out twice to the restaurant through Yelp, but heard nothing back. Again, the meats looked good, the veggies looked good, the sauce station was a nice addition. But everything was crammed into a small pot that tasted the same. And they charged us an extra dollar for the privilege! Ugh. I'm really disappointed - and ticked off.
