    Chef"s Special Sushi

My family and I were craving sushi, so we decided on Sakura. We've frequented the establishment multiple times in the past. . Their menu has a variety of offerings. From appetizers to sushi, to hibachi and more. The front desk ladies were very polite and patient and took our order efficiently. We ordered the Spider Roll, Fried Salmon Roll, King Tiger Roll and Alligator Roll. Several families enjoyed hibachi when staying to eat in the restaurant but we took our meal to go. They encourage you to politely check for accuracy and ours was exactly what we ordered. We will definitely be going back.

Great for a quick and inexpensive lunch, as long as you sit in the dining area as opposed to in front of the grills. They offer a lunch special. The cocktails are a hit or miss depending on who's working the bar. Fast and friendly service The sushi is also delicious

They had a waitress who had a nasty look on her face! The cook was just rushing and the food looked burnt. She spoke too fast. This place is not good at all!

My meal was tasty, although I was a little disappointed they don't have brown or black rice as an option. My shrimp and steak were flavorful, and veggies were fresh. Although I paid an extra $5 for extra veggies, I was given the same amount as everyone else at our table. Not cool. Enjoyable meal overall. I'd go again.

The restaurant has a bit of a bland appearance, but it really big on the inside. We didn't sit at one of the hibachi tables so we were seated straight away. The menu for the entrees and teriyaki were very expensive, no less than $20 for anything. So, I got miso soup ginger salad and sushi rolls. My family thought that it was one of the best miso soups they'd ever had, and we've been to a lot of Asian restaurants. For sushi I got fried salmon skin and tempura shrimp, and they were both delicious. My dad got the chicken teriyaki and the serving was huge. I forgot my bag in the restaurant, and when I came back in our waitress handed it right to me, which was really kind of her. An overall good and delicious experience!

I've been here a couple times for sushi and hibachi. I've always had a good experience. I was in the mood for sushi and decided to call in an order and pick up. I was not disappointed. Sushi was great and fresh. The customer service was pleasant and my food was ready in about 15 mins. They have signs about social distancing, sanitizing and sections blocked off due to COVID-19. I was impressed. They have pretty decent pricing too. Full menu on their website by location.

Had a great time here. Was a part of a party of 20. Everything ran smoothly. Nice staff. Hand sanitizer available. Staff wore mask the whole time. Had the shrimp and scallop hibachi. I requested no eggs in my fried rice but the griller forgot. So they gave me some from the kitchen instead. The soup was your regular broth. Salad- I chose the wrong dressing- ginger- so that was a no. Yum yum sauce- I don't know if they make it in house but it has no flavor and the color was way off. Tasted more like French dressing so that was a no. Because of that I couldn't eat more than a couple fork fulls. Drink- love potion #9- great, I could taste the alcohol but it wasn't too strong. More stars would have been given if the yum yum sauce was better. Shrimp tempura sushi roll was good. You have to request sushi menu.

Thanks Myles for making the best out of a bad situation. Myles was cordial and checked on us often. A patron must understand where delays occur and be mindful to handle it with grace. For starters, we had the smokehouse wings, chicken wraps, mango lemonade and sweet tea. These items came out fairly quick and were served hot. We were happy with the flavor, presentation and portion. Given a lunch menu, we pondered if the starters were enough or if we'd get an entree. We opted for the smokehouse burger and the grilled chicken salad. It was at least 25 minutes before our food arrived. Myles did come out and say our food was taking longer. In the wait, the pricing for lunch items changed and we ended up being charged the dinner rate for our items. Wasn't mad about it because it came out as we requested and presented well. Everything tasted good but by this time, I wasn't able to finish all of my food and only ate my loaded baked potato. The salad was a generous portion that will be lunch the next day. As we were talking about the long wait, Myles did come by to apologize. Oddly enough, there was a manager and other servers but no one came by and acknowledged the misstep. Again, Myles did everything he could to make sure we were okay given the circumstances. There is table seating that has half booth, half seats. There is a bar and an assortment of beverages with and without alcohol. The floor seemed dirty and some areas need more sanitation. Parking wasn't an issue. Capable of accepting payments via card, cash or scanning a QR code. I haven't given up on LongHorn Steakhouse, I just need them to not give up on themselves.

Today I ordered the parm crusted chicken breast. The presentation was disgusting. This is how it looked when I removed the lid. The chicken breast was overcooked, dry and tougher than leather. Some of the seasoned rice was under cooked, and the broccoli was overcooked which left it mushy. Today's food experience was horrible. The only good thing about todays visit was the young lady that brought my food out. She greeted me with a smile and was very pleasant. My reason for not returning and requesting a new order is that I do not live in the Waldorf area. I wasted my gift card on trash.

You have to have reservations to dine in--even for the bar. I didn't dine in, I ordered takeout, which was superb and well worth the wait. Very nice place for a special day/date. This was my first visit, and I've been wowed. I'll go on record right now: this was the best restaurant crab dip I've ever had. It was the perfect amount of lump crab, just yummy goodness overload. That bread *chefs kiss* I could've made an entire meal out of that dip and been just as happy as a kid in the candy store lol. I ordered the fried seafood platter and swapped out the fries for a baked potato. Everything on the plate was delicious: the coleslaw, hush puppies, crab ball, oysters, fish, and shrimp. Both of my cousins ordered the surf and turf since they'd had it before and clearly loved it. After seeing them devour theirs, I know what I'm ordering next time. Overall, I had an amazing time. Our waitress, Sophie, was attentive and extremely personable.

We completely understand that restaurants get busy -- especially on weekends -- but being essentially turned away because it was "too busy" was unacceptable. There was no real attempt to accommodate us, no clear communication about realistic wait times, and no effort to make us feel valued as customers. For a place that markets itself as family-friendly and big on hospitality, this experience fell far short. This wasn't just a random dinner -- it was my toddler's birthday. We chose this restaurant expecting a welcoming atmosphere and a memorable experience for our family. Instead, we left feeling frustrated, inconvenienced, and honestly embarrassed after building up the excitement for him. Busy is understandable. Poor guest management and lack of care -- especially when a young child's birthday is involved -- is not. I truly hope ownership and management take situations like this seriously. Families choose your establishment for special occasions, and how situations like this are handled speaks volumes. Highly dissatisfied with this experience.

It's a small restaurant in a shopping center very nicely decorated. My server Elmer greeted me right away with water and a menu. He explained that everything is homemade, even the desserts. The menu isn't huge, but it has a good variety across the board. I looked at the specials first l, I wish my wife had been with me because the salad special sounded great and we usually split one. The entrée specials also sounded really good. I was already thinking to myself I'd probably be back if this meal was solid. I usually order chicken parm when I go out for Italian, but I wanted to switch it up, so I went with the lasagna. Elmer told me I'd enjoy it and said the noodles and sauce were very good. Someone brought out bread with a garlic and oil mix. The bread was excellent crunchy outside, soft inside. The garlic and oil was good, but I'm more of a butter guy. I like a lot of butter on my bread, especially bread like that. When the lasagna came out, it looked amazing. The person who brought it asked if I wanted Parmesan cheese. I said no thanks I don't like changing the flavor unless I taste it first and feel like it needs it. First bite.....Excellent. The sauce had a lot of flavor, the noodles were tender, and there were a lot of layers had to be six or seven. Not like some places where you get three or four and mostly cheese. I ate the whole thing and used the bread to clean the plate. Elmer and the other servers kept checking in to see if I needed anything. I like seeing that kind of teamwork where everyone helps out, not just their own tables. Makes for a better experience and you're never waiting around if you need something. When I finished, Elmer asked if I wanted some of the "apple cobber." Funny thing -- when I first looked at the dessert menu, I noticed that typo and wondered if that was really the name. I asked him about it and he said it was a mistake and hadn't even noticed. I was surprised no one caught it before. I asked for the cobbler to go, but he actually recommended the tiramisu instead, so I took his suggestion. Later that evening I tried it and it was superb. Even my wife, who doesn't like coffee, liked the bite I gave her. While we were talking, Elmer gave me a sample of their espresso martini. I'm not big on cold coffee drinks, but it was actually pretty good. Definitely something I'd order there. Overall, one of the best Italian meals and service I've had and I'll definitely be back. I just wish it was closer to home if they opened up in Prince Frederick in Calvert County, I think they'd do great. Right now all we really have is Ledos Pizza
