I called JC Mobile Truck Repair and he agreed to come fix my sweet little truck. He was there within 40 minutes and had my truck going about 45 min later. He was so nice and turned what could have been a crappy day into a wonderful experience. I have recommended him to my horse hauling friends in case they ever need a mobile mechanic when in Bakersfield. He is trustworthy and an asset to his community!

Had a bit of an odd request today, We had a baby kitten or…read morekittens stuck under the hood of our car. In summer. At the hottest time of the day. We first tried ourselves to get them out but couldn't even see them, just hear them, so we started calling mobile mechanics and talked to a man named William who was willing to come and help out. He came out immediately, got his little pole thing that had a mirror on it and stuck it in the engine area and looked around and didn't see nor hear any kitties. To bring even more context to the story, let me back it up to right before we discovered the kitty in our engine, we had went to the bank, as soon as I parked and got out of the car I heared the kitten cries, they were very loud but I wasn't sure if it was coming from our car or the surrounding cars in the parking lot, so I kind of shrugged It off, drove straight back home, parked and when I get out of the car, I hear the kittens again, this time the cry was faint and weaker sounding, so I knew for sure that they were in there. Even had my husband come and listen and he heard them as well. So by the time we found a mechanic to actually come out and look, a couple hours had already passed and by that time there was absolutely no noise coming from the engine anymore. Unfortunately, I fear that the heat from the car and the weather might have took the Kitty's life. I was really hoping the mechanic would Jack the car up and take a closer look because I'm sure there are a lot of nooks and crannies that you cannot see with just the mirror alone. I told him about the sounds of the cries and how they were stronger at the bank and weaker when we got home and that I'm thinking that there might be a deceased Kitty in there. But I guess he felt a different way because he didn't suggest jacking the car up to look. He just concluded that the kitten must have left. But that's probably not what happened. Anyways, I appreciate his Speedy service though! he was literally out here in 15 minutes and he only charged us 40 bucks. So he's very fair in that sense. I would have definitely been willing to pay more if he would have lifted that car up. But it was probably too late at that point anyway. Kind of a sad review. My bad, but his Speedy service and his fair pricing was definitely worth a review.

When I first made contact , he responded right away gave me his cell phone number to make things…read moreeasier and we scheduled a time for him to come assess my tire. Due to things I had going on i had to cancel. cacontacted himp back a few days later to come back. We settled for 8:30 am the next day. He arrived on time and told me I needed a new tire and said he would call around. He also stated that he would charge me $50 flat rate. And once we found a tire he could go and exchange it for me. I agreed upon that first. He told me that my new tire was going to be around 200 dolland I thought that was a little excessive for one tire, especially such a small tire. So he said he would call another place.He called another place and as he was on the phone I listened to the conversation and google the make and model. When? My Google search came up. I seen that for a brand new tire. It ranged from 49 to $70. He gets off the phone and tells me that he found one for a hundread plus tax. I knew that was a bit excessive. So I continued to Google why he said he was going to return the tire. I sent him the screenshot of the tires I found which were all brand new and told them please do not let them overcharge me for a tire. He text me back and said he found one for a $110. And I ask him to bring the receipt when he returned. I asked him for a receipt and he showed me a receipt for a $100. Was it a proper receipt? I don't know. I just took his word for it but told him that was more expensive than any of the other tires. I had looked up so when it came time for payment. He told me it was going to be a 175 when he quoted me $50 and showed me a receipt for a 100 I told him that was more than. We talked about, but at that point it was done and I was just trying to hurry up and end the transaction. I asked him if he had changed. He told me he did not at that point I did not want to pay him any extra money because I felt like he had already charged me way too much and informed him. I was gonna go to the bank and get change. Once arriving at the bank, the lines were too long and he was waiting outside with my car. So I just went ahead and gave him the money. So we both could be done with the trandaction. All in all, I really feel like because I was a woman he did take advantage and overcharged me and up charged me. I told him as I was giving him the money that I just wanted it to be done with. He agreed took the cash and then left. In all honesty, outside of him over charcharging me he got the work done.

We were traveling through the area in our Sprinter van when we noticed the temperature rising going…read moreuphills. We went straight to Murphy's. Jeff & Andrew immediately helped, determining we had a faulty fan clutch. They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. In this day and age, is hard to find a trusted mechanic especially while traveling in an unfamiliar town. Jeff has reaffirmed that there are still honest businesses & friendly service to be found. We are so grateful for their kindness.
