was in difficult situation when my battery and alternator stopped working today in Bakersfield. I live over a 100 miles from where my suv broke down. G.G. Mobile Mechanic were recommend by AAA driver. G.G. Replaced my alternator and battery in 1.5 hrs in the 7-Eleven parking lot. They were honest and polite. I'm not a car guy but I assume I paid more for their mobile service, but was happy to do so. The final cost for all the work and purchasing new 3yr battery and new alternator with a life time warranty was just under $900.00. The tow from AAA would have been $1,200.00. I would recommend G.G. If you find yourself stuck as I was. I am also in a wheelchair which has its own set of issues when stuck in 100 degrees heat with no air conditioning. They are my savers. My car has low tier pressure in 12am and I have 4 hours left until home so I came for their aid. They was very nice. The tire had a crack that was beyond fixable so they call other road service which has tire to come and change it for us. June 30,2022 driving from Bremerton Washington to Los Angeles. about a mile into the grapevine going south my temperature gauge hitting the red mark. Here's the scoop: I was driving from LA to Monterey late one evening and suddenly my headlights began to flicker and my battery light came on. I began to lose accelerating power and my heart was racing. My alternator was dying. Of all the stretches of road along the 5 freeway that would have landed me in the middle of nowhere I was fortunate enough to stall right at an exit with a gas station. It was late, and as I scrolled through Yelp I figured I was out of options for the night. My plan was to have AAA tow me to a mechanic in the morning and find somebody to fix my alternator. I slept in my car overnight in the parking lot and in the morning began to scroll through the mechanics on Yelp again, calling them and comparing prices. Then I noticed a 24/7 mechanic. A mobile mechanic who comes to you. I didn't realize this was a thing. Especially in the middle of nowhere. I called, and Gilbert gave me a lower quote than the other mechanics in the area, even with the cost of driving out to me. When he arrived I tried to console myself about not having seen their service sooner by asking if he could have had the part to me last night at the time I stalled. 'How would be get a part that late' I thought. Turns out he could have gotten the part that late.
