I would really rate them one star. The work they did was not flush, my bumper stuck out more than before the accident. The paint chipped. I go to pick up the car and there is work that is not done. I had to leave the car again get another rental waste more time and the staff was very nonchalant about it. The only person with decent customer service is the receptionist. This is a Geico authorized repair shop. They are not worth that credential. I will never go here again. Caliber Collision is better. I have a had work there and they're good, they just aren't a Geico authorized shop. read more

Dishonest people in this shop. When I brought my car to this shop for repairs, I forgot to remove from the armrest storage compartment my emergency money -about $60 in small bills and a bunch of quarters for the parking. Yesterday, I picked up my car from the shop and the money are missing. After that how can I trust them when they say that they installed a new part? The part in question looks a little better than before but I do not believe it was replaced. They just waxed it very well. Avoid this place. Shame on them read more

Extreme Twist Collision. Awful place to do business. I had a car issue, i discussed possible fixes with the staff. There was a high one and a lower cost one. I asked for estimates on both of them. He returned with only the high estimate. OK, I was suspicious, but like any good salesman, he talked me into it. We agreed and I made a deposit. Later that night I was having 2nd thoughts. I began to write an email explaining my preferences and sent it the next day. I also called that afternoon, or the next day; too bad: the voice mail box was full, so I couldn't leave a message. Suspicion #2: what business has a full mail box? The next week I called again, and a staff person looked at me email and an invoice (between shop and supplier) attached to the job, He said it was only for a $100+ part and it appeared that the high priced method was not in play, and that it would be the simpler, lower priced repair method. I was relieved and waited for the appointed day for the repair. I discussed my concerns with the assessor (I forget the name of the position of the person) and said that the lower priced method was wanted and expected, just to be sure. He assured me that the car would be ready that day. Later I got a call from the original staff person saying that they already ordered the whole big part (a bumper cover) and that it was "mine" they won't return it.) By 4:30 pm I must have made four+- inquiries as to the status. For each call, I was asked to wait, to hold on, to expect a call back. And nothing happened. No response at all. What's going on, I asked the front desk. "Oh, let me run to the back again, and we'll see." Now, I just want my car back. So, reception did get back to me and said "Wednesday" (2 two days from now.) Apparently, they have discarded all my statements about what I wanted done and were doing the higher level job. My advice is never deal with this outfit, or ANY company that does not read your emails, and/or has a voice mail box that is full. You'll get stuck with who knows what problems. FNL read more

Nice front desk person. Poor repair, they kept my vehicle an extreme amount of time, and it came back with several dents and scratches that they insist were there prior. I wash and hand dry the vehicle at least once a week, try to keep it in pristine condition to resell, so am positive they were not. I got a warranty on their work, but am afraid to take the car back there. read more

Afraid to report this place is one of those automotive shops that gives a bad reputation to automotive shops. My vehicle was promised in roughly a week, a week passed, nothing. Two weeks, nothing, three weeks, nothing. After a month passed, I went there and checked personally. Aside from having removed the rear bumper cover, nothing had been done. In that month there was no communication from Extremed Twist. Nothing. Run, do not walk away from this place. Don't go there if you have any hope of seeing your car complete ever again. These guys are real craftsmen. At the advice of the two truck driver we had our Honda Accord towed to Extreme. They finished the repairs to the crash on our left side doors in about three weeks. The paint job looks flawless. Their communication was excellent and workmanship was superior to anything I've ever experienced. We're happy customers. read more

My insurance company recommended I use Extreme Twist to repair some minor front end damage to my car. It took two weeks to schedule an appointment with them to bring my car in. When I brought it in at my appointed time I was ignored for over 20 minutes, and I was the only one in the waiting area. When I finally asked the receptionist "what's up?" the owner came out of his adjacent office (where he had been the entire time, in full view of me, doing what looked like nothing much), looked at my car for one second, and said that's all we need, you can just leave it. He didn't offer any other information or examine the car beyond a glance. I asked him when I might expect it to be repaired and he said "I have no idea." Really? I asked again, and he gave the same answer. I told him I am not leaving my vehicle with a business that is telling me they have no idea when they will return it to me. He then said it would be between 3 days to two weeks. I said okay (regrettably), but asked please for a call back when he knew the actual time frame, to which he agreed. I never received that call. Two weeks later and I have heard nothing. I call to ask what is the status of my vehicle and when will I see it. They put me on long hold, then tell me the parts had "just arrived" and it was "in line for body", and someone would call me back in THREE DAYS to give me an update on a time frame. Predictably, I again did not receive the promised call back. Waited two more weeks and finally my insurance adjuster intervened, as my car rental benefit was about to expire. The owner of the shop told the insurance adjuster that the delay was my fault because I was unhappy with a replacement part (fender liner), which was a complete fabrication. I don't even know what a fender liner is, nor had I spoken one word to him since I dropped off my car. Regardless, the adjuster finally got him to commit to a completion date. When I went to pick up my car on that date there were a bunch of wires left dangling below the steering wheel, which they tried to just stuff out of sight when I pointed them out, rather than properly reattaching them. The car had been partially washed on the exterior (they only washed the painted surfaces and windows, not wheels, bumpers, headlights, cladding, etc), but the interior had not been cleaned at all beyond wiping down the dash. They left a can of glass cleaner and a huge piece of used window molding inside the car. There is a visible foot-long scratch and 3 small marks (from buffer/sander) beneath the clear coat on my freshly painted hood. The car now has an audible rattle on rough roads. In spite of all this, I could not get out of there fast enough. Overall, this was a long and very unpleasant experience, a sloppy and sub-par result, and I will not be going back. If you're a GEICO customer, I highly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Took her vehicle here to be fixed after an accident and was told it would take a maximum of one week. Less than a week and we got a phone call stating the price was going to be $1,000 more than our quote. This was a job we had priced out with five other companies and no one else had asked for the extra thousand. When we called upset about this they finally gave in on not charging it to us but then proceeded to take nine more days to fix our vehicle. When we got it back the hood had pit marks all over it from where it was over sanded and it had four huge new scratches on the vehicle that were never there. Worst auto experience I've ever had. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Service was super quick. I got into a car accident on my road trip through the area, and the tire was broken off entirely so I had to get towed. These guys understood my need and urgency right away and were able to get the parts and service it within 24 hrs. Visiting friends in Santa Fe and I noticed that the rental I had picked up at the airport in Albuquerque (in the dark) had a scrape near back rear tire. It looked as if someone had hit the car and left their paint on the rental. My friend, Deb, recommended that I take it to Extreme Twist to see what they could do to remedy the problem. When I showed them the damage they assured me that the damage had been done before I took the rental. They pointed out that the paint was applied, not matching but trying to cover. They buffed the scratches above the mis-matched paint and sent me on my way with just a handshake and a smile. No charge, very nice men. What a relief! read more

This is the second time I have had body work done on my car here. Just had a bad accident and had my car towed in. Do they do good work? Yes, or I would not have gone back. The car has been there 2.5 weeks and I was told it could take up to 3. That is fine. My gripe however is the lack of communication from Extreme Twist. I know the insurance company has paid them. At this point I am trying to get an update as to when the car will be ready. Waiting for a call back. Told the lady I spoke with today that their communication sucks. I rarely leave reviews but this experience was so awesome it really warrants one. My vehicle needed a bumper and taillight replaced but I had very limited time due to a scheduled trip. They took my vehicle in late Friday afternoon and had it ready by Wednesday morning washed and vacuumed! They even washed my floor mats! Impressive customer service, very professional. I have had two relatively small repairs done at Extreme Twist, and have been very satisfied with both. The workmanship was excellent and the people that I dealt with were very pleasant and helpful. The last time I had a vehicle repaired as I was getting ready to leave the vehicle wouldn't start. This was not unusual since the battery has shown a tendency to lose its charge if not driven often. I complained about the recurring issue with the battery, and they noted that the car had the OEM battery. The folks at Extreme Twist were able to replace the battery for me in just a few minutes and get me on my way. read more

I bought some parts from a customers Honda Civic not long ago (thinking the parts were salvaged parts), when I called to see if I was able to buy more parts, the shop manager informed me that he could not sell anymore parts from the car. Now im sitting here thinking to myself, Were they really supposed to sell the parts from the car or are trying to make a quick buck and pocket cash on the owner of the cars expense? Awful experience! Took our Sprinter van to Extreme Twist to have some minor surface rust repaired around our windshield (grinded out, and re-painted), and the windshield replaced. First install leaked at the top near rearview mirror (and they damaged the front speakers, which they replaced, as well as left a mess inside the van), then they damaged their entire paint job while removing the windshield in order to replace it for a second time (they used knives to remove the windshield). They stated that they would re-paint the entire area, again. They installed a second windshield, it also leaked, this time along the passenger side. Went back again to have the leak resolved, which they did by installing masses of caulk. In the process, damage occurred to the interior of the van, as well as tools were left under the hood of the engine when we drove away (luckily they did not fall into the belts), and the trim was not installed properly. Now, 8 months later, the rust we went to have repaired, is re-appearing (at the bottom edge of the windshield) due to an inadequate second paint job, when they damaged the area removing the windshield (I can see scratches still visible near the forming rust). I am unwilling to return to them for the 7th time to have them work on our van after all the issues experienced, especially since the last time we spoke they stated "we are done with you and your van" (even though they gave me a "lifetime" warranty on the repair). I have asked for a full refund, which they have refused. Likely they will now disparage this negative review, as they have done to others, or claim our van has a "defect", which is untrue. There are other options in Santa Fe and I highly recommend you use those. read more

I'll start off by saying my Mustang is my baby and I was a little nervous to take it in to any shop. Took my Mustang in to get fixed after getting hit by an object thrown from another car. The damage on my Mustang consisted of a medium sized dent on the hood along with a cracked windshield. Glad I decided to take my car to Extreme Twist as they did an awesome job with the repairs. The work was also completed as scheduled. Hope nothing like this happens to any of my cars again but if it ever does at least I found a good shop. read more

Don't waste your time with anyone else. Eli at Extreme Twist has a background in artistic automotive painting and truly believes in quality control. I would highly recommend Eli and his team to anyone who has any type of auto-body or paint needs. Here is my experience: My new black 2014 Chevy High Country was hit while parked at work. I was lucky enough to find the person and their insurance paid to fix it. First body shop had nice people that I worked with, but totally botched the job, and then wouldn't take responsibility for it even after a State Farm inspector inspected the damage, and his boss the manager saw the damage. AutoRight did not want to accept responsibility, I was disappointed by the lack of integrity. The color was way off, more grey silver than triple black, there was a silver hand print on the A famed driver support, silver tape marks on the door, silver squiggles on the door, overspray line from tape on door, overspray on a rim... Unbelievably sloppy! I had heard about Extreme Twist and and knew about the owners experience and knew I should have just come here first. The did an amazing job on my truck and totally fixed the crappy job AutoRight did. He even got the overspray from the first guys off my rim. My truck is black on black, and hasn't looked this nice since I purchased it. They cleaned the inside, washed the truck, and had it outside so I could look at the repair. The owner was in contact with me and available when I called, and Rick at the front desk was very helpful and great to talk to. Would use again with confidence. read more

This shop had my vehicle from December 4th to January 6th. My insurance only covers 30 days for a rental, so the shop agreed to cover the additional days, but only after my initial review which I gave them a poor one. This is what seemed to be of importance to them. Not the fact that they provided VERY POOR service. If I could rate them with NO stars I would. I'm going to post pictures of my car to show the work they did, remember this was after they had it for over a month, and you can determine for yourself if this is the kind of service you want. On the afternoon of January 6th, I picked up my car but before I left the shop the check engine light came on so I asked them to check it out before I got on the road(shop is in Santa Fe I live in Albuquerque). They simply cleared the code and said it was because the battery had been disconnected. I got on the road the check engine light came on again. To make a long story short; after my husband (mechanic 30 years experience) got home he looked at the car and notice the CRAP job they did plus a dent that was not repaired and a few other issues.He checked the coolant since they had replaced the radiator and it was low. He scanned the car which came up with 4 codes. One has to do with the shutter they replaced and the other is a communication error. He calls the shop and they agree to pick up my vehicle and loan me a vehicle(I'll post picks of the crap vehicle they loaned me). So yesterday, I picked up my car for a second time. Although I am relieved to be done with this HORRIBLE BUSINESS I am still having issues. My insurance paid over $6,000.00 in repairs and we paid a $650/deductible. I recommend you seek service elsewhere if you want to save yourself lots of stress and frustration. read more

Extreme Twist is by far the most professional & genuinely caring body shop I've ever encountered. I walked into the shop in a state of distress and was immediately put at ease by Eli. He even had me laughing by the time I left. I got several bids from other shops and the difference in professionalism and intent to do right by the customer was glaring. I was so impressed by the owner, Eli, and his staff, John and Angel (I'm sure all of the employees were wonderful - these were just the three people I had contact with) I will recommend them to everyone I know. They are completely service oriented and the estimate I received was actually several thousand below one of the bids I got (I realized later that the owner of that shop was doing everything he could to try to get me to claim it on my insurance so he could get the most money by parts replacement, not the actual craftsmanship of repair) and the work was exceptional - not just to my eyes, but to people I know who have worked in the business. Also, since I only had the one car, Angel took me back to my house after I took the car in and picked me up when it was finished. They also washed and detailed my car when it was done! I am completely "shocked" that this place has 5 star reviews, probably written by friends or family. I had a very bad experience. When given an estimate I was told it would take them FIVE days to complete the minor work on my car. They kept my car for 25 days!!! It delayed my move to CA and I had to push back the start date on a new job. The owner Rick is the worst. Everytime I called I either left a voicemail which no one returned, or Rick would answer and promise to find out what was going on with my car and get back to me. Never once did he get back to me. I would always call him a day or two later to ask why he didn't get back to me and left me hanging. He would simply say, "Sorry it totally slipped my mind." The only reason I got my car back in 25 days was because I got the car rental company and my insurance company involved. Rick didn't care that I would call screaming or begging or crying, or anything trying to get him to see I was serious, that I needed my car asap so I could get to CA and start my new job. He couldn't have cared less. This was the worst expererience ever and I can't say enough bad things about this company. Because they kept my car so long the rental car went over the allotted $900 and Rick actually expected ME to pay the difference! Ummm, no, I don't "think" so! Luckily Enterprise agreed with ME and felt sorry for me so they gave me a huge discount. There was still a remaining balance of $140 which Rick actually thought I would pay. He should have been responsible for the whole amount but Enterprise was generous and took care of a big portion of it. I deducted the rest from my $500 deductible and I would have "sued" Rick before I paid him one dime of the $140 after my horrendous experience with him. Do yourself a favor and find a more reliable, honest auto body shop! read more

Eli is a consummate professional. I have a 1980 Suzuki GS1100 with a 1200 Wiseco piston kit, 5 angle valve job and a Mr. Turbo which pulls 13lbs of boost. Needless to say I wanted no less that a perfect repaint. It's white with red and blue panels. It came out so perfect, I'm afraid to handle it to reassembly. It's definitely a cotton glove project. His price was far more reasonable than 3 other local shops. I have sent several of my friends to him for repairs and all have been very satisfied. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

One of the best when he follows through with his word, however I do agree with review up top, my car has been in shop for almost three years , now granted the work he did do is beyond show quality, and when this guy puts the effort in he is second to none, but he is very bad at dates, time and call backs, and if your willing to wait you will get the best job , I have had stress, anxiety, and hope all in one emotion with this work so my opinion is still pending, but typically this seems to be a Santa Fe thing, or should I say a New Mexico thing if they say next day they mean next week , if they say next month they mean next year, I just hope he stays in business long enough to finish my car.. read more
