We are traveling around the country touring in our Motorhome, towing a car.... based out of N…read more Myrtle Beach, S.C. ....... we were in Albuquerque, changed our own motor oil and after we started up to pull out, the Motorhome hesitated on kicking into gear to move. We were perplexed. We drove to Sante Fe, spent the night in a Walmart parking lot. Got up to leave the next day and the Motorhome really had trouble getting into gear. We were very confused. Looked on Google map for a garage that could check out our Ford Triton V-10. We found the closest place was Master Tech Auto Repair. We definitely made the right decision. The owner Ari Gordon came out...especially since we were blocking the road with our Motorhome towing a car, and we told him our situation and he immediately checked under the hood and diagnosed what the problem was. Which turned out to be out of transmission fluid ????. He had one of his mechanics come out and add a few quarts. Originally Ari said he wouldn't charge us for such a quick fix, but it ended up taking way more than a quart of ATF. So paying a reasonable amount for service provided to us on the street was not an issue. We were more than happy to compensate. The quick response to our desperate need and providing honest mechanical needs to people not knowing any garage..... priceless!!! Not only did Amy and Annie do everything possible to get me in and out before my ETD, they were both warm and funny and authentically welcoming. Ari and his team are knowledgeable, skillful, and compassionate. While handling my tune up they found and resolved many issues for me, and alerted me to additional issues that might wait until after I return. Ari took the time to go over in detail, with both photos and drawings, everything that they discovered, and how they fixed the most pressing problems. They even popped my rear bumper back into shape where someone had caught the edge. Ari was keenly present and patient while reporting his findings. He answered all my questions and made helpful suggestions regarding what might be the next priortiy to address when I am ready. I walked away smiling, feeling like I received so much for a super reasonable final bill. I am beyond impressed. Our family recently purchased a 2017 US-made runabout with short of 100k miles for twin 15-year-olds to learn to drive and get around town and relieve their mother of taxi duties in the long run. It needed quite a bit of work to bring it up to snuff, though the base vehicle is still solid and has a lot of life left in it. We did some of the cosmetic and easy stuff (replace sun visor, engine air filter, cabin air filter, change oil) done ourselves, got the used-car dealer to fix the front sub-frame that was bent and out of alignment), and postponed some longer-term work (brakes eventually will need new pads in the rear). But this 1.8L "interference" engine will be destroyed if the timing belt fails, and they recommend replacement every 100k miles, so we asked this shop to put replace the belt, water pump, and thermostat so the twins won't have to deal with catastrophic engine failure when on the road as new drivers. They not only did that and replaced the rear struts (leaking) with the new ones I had shipped to us, but they did it in around a day of shop time. The car was ready far sooner than we expected, and everything was in perfect order. This shop is also part of the network the used car dealer employs for its own warranty work, so the car is covered in case anything unexpected turns up in the next year. Top marks!

This place when pulling up looks more like a junkyard than a body. They left permanent marks on my…read morevehicle after having paint and bodywork done on my car. I've tried everything to remove this. I've gone to another paint and body place to see if they knew what it was, and they said some sort of chemical compound has stripped the top layer of the protective coating of the paint. Whatever it is, there's weird marks on the windows as well. It almost melted part of it. I don't even know how that's possible but whatever material they got on the side of the car and windows won't come off and can't be buffed out as I've tried everything now I have to go out of pocket to go to professional paint and body place and have this resolved.

They repaired the radiator incorrectly which damaged the engine. Engine was totaled and new mechanic advised against the replacement. Essentially they totaled my car and because the engine damage was not caused by the deer, insurance will not pay for the lost car, though did pay Top Gun at the very start $17000 for a crappy/ incompetent repair job. Top Gun has taken no responsibility, doesn't return phone calls, and can't keep their story straight regarding what went wrong, when I am able to reach them. Looks like I will have to sue to recover the cost of the car. No matter, huge lost of money and time. They have no business being in business.

Recently they did some brake work and gave me a list of things to fix &/or watch. There was one item, in particular, a leak in front axle, that needed repair (replacement). I decided to shop around. I called 2 other shops that I've used and are in town. This shop not only beat the price of the other 2 by over $100, they TRIPLED the warranty on the work! I've never been surprised by a bill. They tell me up front how much it will be and if they find something extra during the work, they call and discuss with me before they do anything. He looked over the list of "issues" and said none were bad enough to fix right now and we'd watch them. When I take it in for oil changes, they'll monitor them. And, on top of that, I've never seen SUCH NICE STAFF at a garage. Everyone I've worked with was smiling and friendly and EASY to work with. Working with them going forward is a no-brainer. Both my grandfather's were TRUSTWORTHY mechanics... these guys do them proud by continuing that tradition. (How often do you see a HEART in a review of a garage!?) Thank you, Cutting Edge!
