My distance on my progressive and my computer prescription are both worse than my older ones I was using from 2 years ago. Of course I didn't find out until I had paid for new glasses/lenses at a better priced competitor. He was in such a hurry to get me through the "exam" and into the sales room that he just didn't seem to care. Upon my stating that I wasn't going to buy glasses while my eyes were dilated(!), he and the sales person just walked away. No explanation of pricing, options, anything. And they don't have price tags on the frames!

When I got there I filled out their "brief" medical history paperwork. The staff member who brought me back for my exam told me that before I can get glasses they have to do a $125 medical exam on me because I am diabetic. This was not mentioned when I called to make the appointment. It does not make sense. I have a doctor who is managing the diabetes. If I wasn't taking care of myself and didn't even know I was diabetic, they would have done the exam and sold me glasses without charging me for a medical exam. It seems they are trying to find ways to separate people from their hard earned money.

I've had great experiences at 2 different Walmarts. But this place is not good. They don't help to fit your frames or offer advice. My frames felt fine for the 30 seconds I tried them out. Had to go back MANY times for adjustments. Sometimes they're closed for lunch. Sometimes they're closed, period, in contrast to their posted hours. I finally got them to approve re-framing (thru my insurance company). The original frames were designers that cost much more than the generics I replaced them with, but no rebate of any kind. The one young, blond girl is very snarky and can't utter "you're welcome" after a "thank you" to save her life. And they DO NOT call to let you know your glasses are in. You must call them. You might get their voicemail and they call back late the next day at best.

My mother of 85 years, purchased a pair of lenses two years ago, for @ $200.00. She provided the…read moreframes. She is retired on Medicare, and everyone knows you are at the mercy of every doctor in town, due to Medicare only paying so much for only so many doctors. Some of the best doctors in town do not take Medicare patients. So she ended up here. I wear glasses so i am familiar with lense, types, lense care, lense wear, and lense cleaning supplies. My mother has been wearing glasses for years. Her 15 year old glasses look like new compared to these. My mother's lenses purchased here are so ridiculously scratched, that it is hard for me to believe that this vision center used anything but the cheapest plastic on the market. Yes, she uses the cleaning cloth they gave her, and she keeps it in the little container. Her perscription was also not right for three visits, the bifocal was not in the right place. She had to go back over and over. They recommended she come back every 6 months: well, of course they did ! Fair warning to all who need glasses thru Medicare or otherwise, dont be taken advantage by this place.
