They proceeded with the exam and having me pick up classes on Friday. Monday when I called to see what was going on, I got an answering machine. She finally called me back and told me that I wasn't covered to them and I owed almost $600. I canceled the glasses however it was still charged $110 for my free exam. . They knew it wasn't covered but did not tell me when I called and asked if they accepted my she said yes. When I got there, I was stood up to be taken. I feel I'm owed my money back. I tried to get appointments for them at both the Portage and Chesterton locations and was told the same thing. I began to call around and encountered the same problem at a few other companies, but the employees at Target Optical were happy to make the appointments for all three kids in the same day so we wouldn't have to make multiple trips. Once there, the process was fairly simple. The kids were each pre-tested as I completed new patient paperwork. Before I could finish, my first child had already been called back. Within an hour, all three appointments were knocked out, and we were on our way. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Baker is quite knowledgeable and caught that the last place we went to overcompensated for my daughter's astigmatism. The only drawback I'd say is that they need to offer a larger selection of frames, including flex frames. My kids were initially nervous with it being a new place, but they left happy and said they would like to go back the next time they need checkups. I have no problem with that!!! :)

Halloween. The place was decked out for Halloween and all of the staff members, including the doctor. We're all dressed and various costumes, which was awesome. I was sitting in the waiting area ready to see the doctor because I had already selected a nice frame that was on sale. The eye doctor dressed in an 80s jogging suit that was color blocked was really cute. Exam went well. Pressure was great eyes had improved. Ordered my glasses received them within two weeks. Overall experience was very good. The environment is very comfortable and laid-back. I would give it five stars.

It went away in a few wks. I use my reading glasses much less, as the ones I have now aren't right anyway, but will be perhaps getting new reading glasses for very fine print. I don't have the blasting glare from sun in my eyes to drive during the day, and I think night driving will be ok too, I just haven't done that much of it yet.
