Tatiana who works at his Kirkland Optix location has a great eye for what frame works best for your face and takes the pain out of finding that perfect pair of glasses. First they take your medical insurance information saying they take it just in case they provide…read moremedical service. Then they charge your medical insurance just for looking at your retina image. However, they disclose that the medical insurance will be charged only after the retina image is taken and looked at. When you tell them that they should have disclosed the retina imaging will require charging medical insurance, they get offended saying they were transparent with you. They think transparency means that they told you your medical insurance will be charged after imaging has been already done. Very interesting perspective at transparency of services rendered.

I sent a text in response to a text I was sent on 6/24. I had to send multiple follow-up texts…read moreduring business hours and received no reply. Then I sent a text after hours and actually received a response (an auto-response), which told me that I reached them after hours. I never received a prescription to place an order and had to request this. By 7/1, I finally received a call about placing an order. I still did not have my prescription. The woman sent me a link to place the order, which wasn't helpful at all, as she had indicated I would be able to pay with my CareCredit card. Not only was the link wonky, it did not allow me to order. I tried calling the office and it went to voicemail. Then I got a text saying "sorry we missed you. Please send a text as we will see this sooner." Clearly not true. After another text to them, saying how frustrating this experience had been, I was given the same link and told basically the same nonsense. I then asked for my prescription. Then I received a phone call right before I was heading to an appointment (I have wasted days and several hours with no success to order my contacts) and the same person who sent the first link asked if I was able to order my contacts. I told her that I didn't have time at this point. So today, I tried again and kept getting an error. This has been the most inefficient process and unacceptable experience I have ever had to simply order contacts. It should have never taken this long. What a joke.

Then after it turned 4:35 PM, she said, "Oh you're 15 minutes late. So we can't see you today and charge you $75 for no-show." I paid $75 and left.

They got me right in, were nice, did a comprehensive exam, and explained everything. Luckily, it wasn't anything dire. I made annual appointments for both my wife and myself.

Good service, terrible glasses…read more Use of anything but Bellevue Vision clinic's "special" cleaning fluid ruins the lens due to the fact that they are made from cheap plastic. (Note cleaner used has worked fine with every other pair of glasses ever owned). Also opted for the add-on of magnetic pop on/off sunglasses. They are convenient, but the magnets are well within the field of vision. When complained about the issue was told there was nothing to do but perhaps let the manufacturer know. Finally, despite several visits for re-adjustments they still fit poorly. Back to old glasses. Waste of time and money. If you proceed anyway: Be VERY careful on your selection and stock up on the "magic" cleaner.

KEEP LOOKING... I cannot recommend this place…read more The exams were good until we decided to order glasses. I asked for progressive bifocals with anti-reflective, and transitions lenses. The same type of lenses I have gotten for the past ~20 years. When receiving my glasses from Valerie I mentioned that they have a grayish yellow tint. I'm not a fan of this coloration on the lens as they create a raccoon eye affect. Additionally, I happened to drop the glasses on the floor (from waist height) and one of the lenses popped out. Seems like workmanship might have been an issue. She says she asked for the lab to redo the lens to correct the tint while reinserting the lens. Yet, when the glasses were returned, they still had the coloration added. I don't believe they changed the lens at all. And this is where I have a problem with customer service. When I pointed out that the problem persists I was dismissed and made to feel as if I created the issue and it is not their problem. I asked Valerie if she could just check with the lab and ask for their help in determining the problem. Her response was to yell at me that they have already sent the glasses back once and there is nothing else they can do. Now that I have used my insurance allowance with them I cannot order new lenses with another shop unless I pay out of pocket. Very disappointing. Two other areas of concern: 1. You need a separate appointment from your exam, in order to shop for glasses. The technician (Valerie) needs to unlock each pair of glasses from the case before you can try them on. 2. The parking situation in Chelsea village can be described as "difficult" at best. Paid parking requires that you sign up with personal information that is kept on file. All of this makes the entire experience less than desirable for a repeat. I cannot recommend this place.
