After seven years of going to a highly visible vision center in Downtown Edmonds, I finally switched and I'm so happy I did. I saw Dr. Steven Seto at Eye Clinic of Edmonds for the first time today and I'm impressed. He's honest and very knowledgeable. He answered my questions without any hesitation. While the appointment took longer than expected I couldn't be happier and I will definitely be back. 1. Dr. Seto is an Ophthalmologist not an Optometrist. 2. They didn't charge extra for retina scans. Technically, Dr. Seto visually inspected the retina instead of a machine taking images of your retina. However, here is the difference. The machine only has you looking forward while Dr. Seto's inspection had me looking in all directions. I have a hard time believing the machine was able to capture the sides, top and bottom, but I could be proved wrong. 3. Dr. Seto stated straight up that my vision technically didn't warrant prescription glasses and I could get away with readers from Costco. In this day and age, who is that honest? I have been buying glasses from the other place on 5th every year for seven years. 4. Finally, I could actually get an appointment. The other place doesn't book a year out so you have to call for an appointment since they won't call you. And if you can get an appointment at the other place it won't be with the same optometrist. I walked out of Eye Clinic today with an appointment for next November. Impressive. Can't recommend them enough and if you look at my profile I don't do this very often. read more

Dr. Samuel Seto, of Eye Clinic of Edmonds, is rude and unprofessional. He spoke negatively about a patient, with staff members, thinking he could not be heard. There is lack of communication between office staff and Dr Seto. The office staff confirmed my complete eye exam would be covered by my insurance that that was not the case. read more

This is easily one of the worst eye clinics I've ever been to, and people should avoid it like the plague. - The dilation drops they used left my vision dangerously blurry for hours. I had to drive home afterward, and the level of impairment felt outright unsafe. - The prescription they gave me was completely wrong. It caused severe eye strain, and when I went back to ask for a refund or a remake, the optical staff told me I was past their 90‑day warranty -- essentially "too bad." Their solution was for me to pay another $400 to fix lenses they made incorrectly. Absolutely unacceptable. - The doctor told me I was a glaucoma suspect but didn't order any OCT or visual field testing. Instead, I was told to come back in four months. For what? Without a baseline, there's no way to track progression. It felt like nothing more than an attempt to squeeze another office visit out of me while I'm the one dealing with the consequences. read more

This is with regards to front desk staff. I was given a prescription by Dr. Bejanoba for severe eye dryness in preparation for my incoming cataract surgery (not scheduled yet). I don't have prescription coverage in my United Health Care insurance but I have Post Script from Tricare Pharmacy. Since last week, I can not get the Xiidra prescription because Tricare will not pay for it unless a pre-authorization from the doctor is submitted. I called the clinic and mentioned this and they claimed that they submitted it already. I called back Tricare and notified them that the clinic has sent the pre-authorization to them. Tricare stated that they have not received anything and gave me the phone number for pre-authorization to call for faster service. After giving the phone number and telling me that Tricare has denied the claim and they called the phone number and no answer, I called back Tricare and asked them why did they deny the claim and that the eye clinic called the phone number they gave me and there was no answer. Tricare told me that the claim is pending and they have not denied it and that the phone service is 24 hour operation. Up to this time, this issue has not been resolved and my appointment is coming up on 2/16. I am very frustrated with the front desk service. It seems that they are putting much effort to resolve the issue. I love Dr. Bejanova and I hope that she will take action by reading this. read more

Went to this place based on a recommendation. Won't come back. My husband arrived earlier than his appt time which was 3pm. He was in a room without being seen until 4pm! He asked the technician in the hallway how much longer and she stated 20 mins..What?!? He left, got his copay back, and drove the 25 mins home. This is horrible! No patient should ever wait that long in a room without communication! read more

Don't waste your time going here. I had to come back in for contact fittings, booked an appointment, I received not one but two confirmation texts, and I hired a babysitter only to show up and be told my appointment was on some random date I never discussed with them. They couldn't fit me in for a short appointment even though it was their mistake, and wouldn't give me the contacts that I needed for a trip. Will not be going back to them. Dr. Seto was also very rude to me when going through my eye exam even raising his voice at one time because I wasn't answering the questions how he liked. Horrible clinic. read more

My dentist is located here and I have been coming to this building for the longest time. I thought keeping everything together in one place, I would give the Eye Clinic of Edmonds my business as well. Called and scheduled appointment, everything went smooth and my insurance paid for everything. Later a months out I got a bill and called mentioned I owe nothing, okay called and was fixed. Another month went by and got a bill in the mail saying I owed money. Called and fixed. Third time same thing. Thank God I kept emails and receipts, because they made feel like I was making this whole thing, once provided proof it was done. But what the hell, doesn't your people that work there doing their job and posting notes or billing it correctly???! read more

This clinic is never on time for your appointment. They always make you wait at least 45 minutes after your appointment time. In the event that a prescription is made available online to your pharmacy, you can request a copy from the doctor and bring it to your pharmacy. Otherwise, you won't receive your medication on the day you need it. The staff is unprofessional and needs more attention read more

I was looking for a new eye doctor and came across Eye Clinic of Edmonds as they are in my preferred network. Upon arrival, the receptionist (a platinum blonde gal) ignored me completely. Did not make eye contact once. When she finally acknowledged me, she was extremely rude and inconsiderate. She provided no guidance for me (where to fill out forms, how long the wait would be, how much my copay is, etc). I'd understand if the office was slow but there was only me and 1 other patient in the waiting room. Receptionists are often the face of clinics before patients meet with the medical team. This receptionist made me not ever want to come back. To the Eye Clinic of Edmonds: please reconsider training your team to be more customer service oriented. At this rate, patients will not come back due to your existing teams behavior. read more

My family and I have been going to this clinic for more than 10 years now and was good until my recent visit. The technician, Nicola was horrible and so rude. She was so judgmental and made me feel like I was wasting her time. She was not kind and she talked down to me. Never been treated so rudely in a healthcare setting. I cannot trust them anymore with my vision care. And I don't recommend them to anybody. They just lost 4 long time customers. read more

I had to have eye surgery at this eye clinic with Dr. Seto. They charged me 405 dollars at beginning without explaining the reason behind it. I thought the insurance would refund me when I fill up the claim. It happened that this clinic sets up unnecessary appointments with Dr. Seto and do not report them to the insurance. At my first visit I asked the reason behind the 405 dollars charge, they just ignored the question. So be careful about these appointment. At these desperate times that average Americans are struggling financially, this clinic has no compassion toward that and all they care is how much money they can make out you without you knowing it. read more

I took my 4 year old son to Dr. Wallace for his first checkup! It went very well! Dr. Wallace and his staff made the experience smooth, fun and fast! I will recommend this eye doctor to friends and family and actually plan to make appointments for my husband and daughter to see him also! read more

I have fantastic vision normally but unfortunately found myself with mysteriously injured eye needing an eye doc. First visit my wife was not allowed back to help ask questions "due to covid" however was still allowed in the waiting room. I guess viruses can only spread in patient rooms. My eye became worse and was almost swelled shut. After contacting the clinic I was rudely told "well you haven't taken you full course of steroid drops, have you?". They would not let me talk to doc and he never called me back as promised. I called back 5 hours later and they finally agreed to call me the next day. They never called me again. I called and they said I had to be there within 30min if I don't want to wait until the next week. New meds now and I'm on the mend. They cancel my follow up appointment. New time and date is eventually set. When I arrive they demand I submit to a temp screening with non medical infrared temp device. I offer my wrist as I had the previous 2 visits. This time they make me wait 5 min and come back saying I must submit or will be kicked out. They admitted they know it isn't a medical device or accurate yet are very combative saying "you will comply, you don't have a choice". I canceled my appointment and left. Rude, zero communication, unscientific practices, and most importantly zero empathy for a suffering patient that can't leave a dark room for a week. I can't say strongly enough to avoid this place if you can at all help it. read more

I probably shouldn't have posted previous review as I was disappointed that the Dr wouldn't just do the second opinion appointment as one appointment instead of what they required, which was 2 appointments. The clinic is nice and it is clean. Dr Wallace is a good doctor and had been taking care of my daughter for a couple years. I called to make an appointment for her yearly checkup. Well, they don't accept my insurance anymore. This is upsetting because the insurance companies and the doctors ultimately cannot agree on the cost of services so in the end they don't do business together. That means that it is the patient that suffers! We pay insurance companies thousands of dollars in premiums each year to be able to go to a doctor that should be of our own choosing and the doctors get paid for their services through our co pay and reimbursement from the insurance company. The doctor has a choice on which insurance plans he decides to accept. Therefore the only one that gets hurt is the patient! Now I have to find a new eye doctor cuz these clowns think they aren't making enough money! read more

My first time going to an eye clinic ever. So made an appointment and took whoever can see me asap because i noticed a dark spot on my iris (i researched and it could be a possible serious disease). I was assigned with DR. SETO. BIG MISTAKE! For start, i waited for almost half an hour inside the exam room and when he came in, he introduced himself without even shaking my hands nor looking at me. Then he started asking me routine questions and proceeded into examining my eye. Good news is its not so serious (as of now) and i was relieved. I asked him if we should do more tests and he replied by telling me that there is no more time and he is fully booked, and that i was just inserted in between his schedules because they thought my case was an emergency. Wow! So i have no choice but to make another appointment so i can get a full and deeper examination. On the way out, i said thank you to him and he just kept walking away! I will see another doctor or maybe another clinic for my condition. Early detection is the key. read more

I had my first appointment a few weeks ago and was super impressed. I have been seeing eye doctors for almost 45 years so I've had lots of experience with both good and bad. Everyone I met there (from the receptionists to the technicians to the physicians) was friendly and professional. The appointment(s) went smoothly and efficiently. I will be recommending this office to everyone I know who wears glasses or contacts. And I have super bad eyes (bad vision) and am hard to fit, so this was even more impressive! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Wallace for a couple of years now, first for my yearly vision exams, and more recently with some issues with one eye. He is very kind, knowledgeable and thorough. I never feel rushed during appointments and Dr. Wallace makes sure to fully explain treatment and address any concerns. I'm also very impressed with the ease of getting appointments when I encountered my eye troubles. The other staff in the office are also very friendly and personable. When I used the optical dispensary about 4 years ago I had a very good experience with the optician who helped me select perfect pay of eye glasses. Unfortunately when I recently returned with my new prescription that same optician apparently had retired and in his place was a young man who was courteous but clueless. He was completely unfamiliar with the eyeglass model, clip on options. Not only did he have trouble understanding the prescription written by my ophthalmologist (what does PL mean he asked) he provided me with what turned out to be completely incorrect information on tinting options. Almost every time I asked a question he said" I'll have to ask someone about that" . A process that often took about 10 minutes while he found someone to answer it but whose English to my ears was marginally understandable. I finally lost complete confidence that anybody in this place new what they were doing and left. I normally do not write yelp reviews but this experience was so bad that I feel obligated to spare others a similar frustration. read more
