The front desk explained the insurance allowance and gave us a quote, but once a frame was chosen, multiple extra fees were suddenly added. The final price was nowhere near the allowance we were originally told. None of these additional costs were explained upfront, and the information given by the front desk was misleading. On top of that, my partner had a scheduled contact lens appointment, which was canceled only one hour before because the clinic suddenly claimed "training" was required--despite him already being a contact lens wearer. This requirement was never mentioned when the appointment was scheduled. Between the hidden fees, last-minute cancellation, and lack of clear communication, this experience was extremely frustrating and a total waste of time. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone expecting transparency or professionalism.

Patricia answered the phone and after explaining my symptoms she was able to get me in to be seen the next day. She was very calm, thorough, and organized. They had a user-friendly online patient portal to enter my health history and information. My visit with Dr. Bardhardt was pleasant. He was very friendly. He was able to catch that my optic nerves were swollen and he said I needed to be seen by a specialist at Swedish. He and his office worked quickly to get Swedish the information they needed to get me seen and they were in communication with me the whole time. I was able to get in at Swedish within days instead of months all due to their care and attention. And had I waited months, my vision would have been permanently compromised. I highly recommend Dr. Barnhardt because I could tell he and his office genuinely care for their patients. When I eventually do need glasses, I'll be going back!

Another great visit!!…read more The arm(bridge) broke on my glasses. Michael was able to order a set of new frames for less that I had paid for the original pair. He also switched the arm from a matching pair of sunglasses I had purchased. He then straightened the reassembled frames. All in about 30mins. In a week the new frames will come arms will be switched back. I always deal with friendly and competent staff here at Vision of Washington!!

Just make sure you find a spot that allows two-hour parking rather than 30 minutes. I'd recommend parking on the left side near Jimmy John's or the Overlake Clinic, there's a good amount of street parking on both sides of the road in that area. I came in around 10 AM and the staff were extremely friendly. They asked about my day and how my morning was, which I really appreciated. I signed a couple of papers to get started and provided my insurance information, my mom is also on the insurance, so it was really nice that they already had a primary provider on file. I was quickly taken into a room and completed a few exams. I also received a free wellness exam since my mom is a current member, which was a huge plus. One thing I really liked about this place is that they don't do the air puff test that most eye doctors use. Usually there's a blue light you stare at and a puff of air that can irritate your eyes, so I was preparing myself for that. I was really happy they didn't do that here. Everything felt very subtle, comfortable, and smooth throughout the exam. The doctor was very kind and thorough. I did end up needing glasses, especially for long-distance driving, and the whole process of getting that figured out was quick and easy. I was able to choose my frames right after, and it was a very seamless experience. My total came out to around $100, and my insurance covered a large portion of it. My glasses should be ready within the next two weeks. Overall, I really loved this place. The staff are incredibly friendly, the process was easy, and the care was great. I would definitely recommend stopping by and I would absolutely come back again.

Initially, the optometrist made an error with my prescription, requiring me to return two weeks later for a reevaluation. I had purchased my own frames out of pocket and gave them to the office to insert the lenses. After that visit, I waited weeks for the glasses to arrive, and by the end of November, there was still no sign of them. In December, I was told the glasses had finally shipped, only to be informed later that UPS had "lost" the shipment -- including the frames I personally paid for. Because of this, I had to return yet again for another fitting about three weeks ago. I was assured the new glasses would be shipped directly to my home. Unsurprisingly, they never arrived. When I called last week, I was told there was an issue with their lab and that the glasses would be shipped as soon as possible. When I called again yesterday, I was told they were still at the lab but completed and would be shipped. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. A staff member told me a manager would call me back, but I never received a call. This has been months of delays, poor communication, repeated mistakes, and zero accountability. If you value your time, money, and sanity, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

That's all fine it what it is. My insurance covers both exam and fit and follow up, they tried charging me over $250 for a follow up because she needs premium contacts instead of standard. Premium? Because she is a level 4 they couldn't tell me what a level 4 means. I called Americas Best they told me she doesn't need premium contacts and how what they told me made no sense. I'm choosing to go to America's best where I should have gone in the first place after reading reviews $120 for exam and fit and follow up this place is a scam and they don't know what their doing. They even write male on my daughter's prescription and there's no mistaking she's a female. Run Run Run.
