This is unacceptable to me. Do not see Dr. Laurel Harris for any reason. She is condescending, ingracious, and snide. I am not accustomed to such rudeness and incompetence. I left embarrassed to have wasted my time with such a professional. Unfortunately, it was for my young son who had an eye injury. She had her assistant put eye drops in my son's eye without explaining what they were for or that they would sting like the dickens. When he cried she left the room!!! I mean vanished. We sat there as I tried to console him unsure if or when she would return. This was already a rough time for my son as he has suffered an eye injury and waited over an hour only to have the doctor vanish when he cried in pain with no explanation of anything whatsoever. About 10 minutes or so later she returned to the stuffy exam room, hardly saying a thing looked in his eye impatiently then mumbled something about prescribing an antibiotic and again poof, gone. The assistant then explained we'd need to use the drops but not for how long. The assistant ushered us to the appointment scheduler and said we'd need a f/u in two days. We spent well over two hours at the facility, almost entirely waiting, only to leave confused and upset. When we returned for our follow up appointment we again waited a full hour past the appointment time before being seen by the doctor. Thankfully, we saw Dr Chan. She was thorough and kind. She did however state that Dr Harris noted my child was "difficult". This is incorrect and quite unkind even passive aggressive behavior enacted by Dr Laurel Harris toward my child. How terrible! What Dr. Harris failed to do was adequately explain or notate what actually happened to my son to necessitate the eye exam in the first place. This became clear to me when Dr Chan was unaware of what had happened to cause the injury. Thankfully, my son is ok and will be just fine. We won't be back and wish to save others from being abused by Dr Laurel Harris.

When I called back to explain that I had been disconnected, rather than apologizing or helping, Mandy again placed me on hold. After I expressed my frustration and reiterated that I had already been waiting a week, Mandy responded with a hostile tone, denied that I had called previously, and then abruptly hung up on me--accusing me of being threatening, which I absolutely was not. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of communication is deeply disappointing, especially when dealing with sensitive medical matters. So I walked in with extremely low expectations due to the low rating on yelp. Let's be honest though just because somewhere has a low star rating doesn't mean it's gonna be trash. I was highly impressed by how clean and well kept this office is. No weird smells, clean furniture and most importantly a clean bathroom. The receptionist that helped me as I first walked in was a peach! She was super helpful and very friendly. She honestly put my worry's to rest immediately. She greeted me with a friendly smile and took her time with me while I asked questions, she joke with me a little bit and her overall attitude was amazing. I really appreciate that level of professionalism and kindness just as much as anyone else would I'm sure. Now time for the big guns! DR. Courtney, all I can say is holy hell shes good. Not only was she empathetic but she also is a amazing listener. I felt a strange sense of ease talking to her. If you've ever had trouble finding a good dr. Like myself you know how rare it is to feel like a dr. Is truly trying to help you and not just rush you out of the room. She took her time with me, allowed me to express all my concerns, joked with me a little bit, but most of all took what I was asking about into consideration. I've only ever had one dr. As good as her and unfortunately never thought I'd find another one like him until her. You can tell in a short amount of time that she is truly committed to her patients and extremely well educated. By the end of my appointment all my concerns were put to rest and I left feeling like I was given 5 star medical care. I can't thank this office enough for making me feel ok again.
