Their staff did a great job explaining my exam options and how they would affect final payment. The staff member who performed the various eye imaging/photos prior to seeing Dr. Shah was very kind and did a great job helping me understand what I needed to do at each station. Payment and gathering my prescription details on the way out was also handled timely and professionally. My eye exam was performed my Dr. Shah, she also fit me for contacts. I found her very friendly and professional. Everything from discussing my vision and medical history to the examination to thoroughly explaining things along the way were all done to a high and friendly standard. I especially appreciated the time she took explaining the various images they took of both my eyes. As for the facility, it's all kept very clean, including equipment. When you do make an online appointment, you'll be directed to a screen where you fill out lots of pertinent medical information. There's also a breakdown which lists the different services with the associated co-pays. I chose the retinal service and vision test which cost me a $65 co-pay with VSP insurance. Once again, this was another five star experience with Dr. Patel. I added a couple of informative notes below.

I expected a routine contact lens exam -- the same basic exercise I have had before, including through this same business, at roughly a quarter of the price. So when the bill came back at $268, I had the distinct feeling of being mugged in broad daylight by a phoropter. If this exam was going to cost $268, that number should have been made clear before the appointment began. Not whispered through paperwork. Not hidden in a fog of billing codes. Not revealed at the end like the final twist in a bad carnival scam. It should have been stated plainly, directly, and unmistakably: "Before we begin, this contact lens exam will cost $268." Had I heard that sentence, I would have stood up, thanked everyone for their time, and walked directly out the door in search of a business operating somewhere closer to reality. This charge is outrageous. It is excessive, poorly disclosed, and completely unacceptable. No reasonable person would expect a routine contact lens exam to cost $268 unless that price was made brutally clear in advance. I am asking you to review this charge and provide a fair adjustment or refund. And I want to be very clear about what happens if this is brushed off. I will not slink away quietly and absorb this nonsense like a beaten insurance animal. I will share an accurate account of this experience everywhere people look before choosing an eye care provider -- Google, Yelp, Facebook, LinkedIn, neighborhood groups, local forums, and any other digital town square where people still value being warned before they are financially body-slammed over an eye exam. The variety is great and you will surely find something to make you happy. The staff is very fun, knowlegeable and can really help pick some frames that suit you. Dr. Tam has the latest in eye technology and is very helpful in getting your vision needs met quickly. They take most major insurance too. If you need an appointment call them they have very flexible times. I can't wait to get my fun glasses :)
