I've had a very strong prescription for years, and had lots of issues getting glasses over the years. Dr Brooks did a thorough exam & ordered lenses that improved my vision! In addition, when I has a sudden eye problem she fit me in on a Saturday with no notice, then called a specialist ophthalmologist for a consultation right then. I saw good reviews of Eye Source & they were near my house, so I gave them a try. Wow, I'm so glad I did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Besides being extremely competent at eye exams & having the latest equipment (I've got terrible vision, so I know more about optometry than I should lol), Dr Brooks is a great communicator ("chairside manner"?) & makes things easy to understand.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My last optometrist couldn't get one of my eyes fully corrected, but Dr Brooks said, "we can improve that," and she did. And her lab (she used a special one for my odd prescription) got my lenses right on the first try (again, very uncommon for me). That's all wonderful & reason enough to get your vision checked here, but it's far from the most important thing Dr Brooks did for my eyes... [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was driving down Preston Road one Saturday afternoon when I suddenly saw big "floaters" in one eye. I drove over to Eye Source, and Dr Brooks immediately took me into an exam room when I described my symptoms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a brief exam, she rang a specialist ophthalmologist--who picked up his phone Saturday afternoon--and explained she saw a vitreous tear in one Retina. Monday morning, I was having my Retina lasered back in place... And today, after 3 months of follow-up, Dr Brooks told me my prescription hadn't even changed. If I didn't have Dr Brooks as my optometrist, I might have gone blind in one eye! Pretty amazing! Highly, highly recommend this optometrist office! I have only gone here once and they have really left a good impression on me. Last year, I had my exam and Dr. Brooks was very friendly, knowledgeable and personable. Her staff is also friendly and easy to work with. I didn't have to wait long and they helped me find the perfect pair of spectacles. I felt inclined to write a review early, normally I wait until I've been a patient for a while before writing one, but they have really gone above and beyond for me. My son broke my glasses and I didn't have the tools to fix it. I called the their office and they offered to take a look at them. Not only were they able to fix them, but they communicated really well with me through voicemail and text for pick up.
