After the first surgery, I developed a severe twitch in my right eye that I never had before. During a follow-up procedure, Dr. Joseph repeatedly yelled at me to stop my eye from twitching. That's extremely difficult to do, especially when the twitching started after the initial surgery. I felt the doctors were very unprofessional and dismissive of my concerns. Instead, I was given a handwritten note showing only the most expensive and the lowest- priced choices. I wasn't entirely sure what I was choosing but ended up selecting the most expensive option. The second eye surgery was delayed by a week, which pushed back the time I could start using the new lenses. I left the appointment without any instructions for a follow-up. When I called the office to confirm, I was given incorrect information. On my next visit, after going through the same conveyor belt process, a doctor I had not scheduled with examined me and said my eyes were too dry to proceed, requiring another reschedule. The scheduler then informed me there would be no availability for at least a week, possibly longer. By this point, I was very frustrated with the delays. During another appointment, I was not given any prescriptions or priority scheduling, even though the manager had previously said I would receive both. Several other things stood out: * There were no refreshments or snacks offered, despite positive reviews mentioning them. * There is a second waiting room, which I still do not understand the purpose of. * I was recommended to use Miabo eye drops, which my insurance did not cover and which cost nearly $900 for a small bottle. Overall, my experience was poor and left me feeling neglected as a patient. The entire process was disorganized, communication was unclear, and the costs were extremely high--around $9,000 in total. Approximately nine months later, I began experiencing visual disturbances and followed the advice of the surgery center to return to My Eye Dr in Murphy. I was told at that visit that the issue was "just floaters" and not cause for concern. When the symptoms did not resolve, I returned to the surgery center, where I was informed that my retina had detached -- a condition they did not treat -- and I was referred to a retina specialist. The specialist diagnosed me with a retinal detachment affecting approximately 75% of my retina, requiring emergency surgery that involved placement of a scleral buckle. The buckle changed the shape of my eye and rendered the upgraded lenses I had paid for unusable. Then, in July 2025, my right eye also experienced a retinal detachment. I am currently still recovering from this second major surgery. I can honestly say that this has been the worst medical experience of my life. Not only was there a significant delay in diagnosing a sight-threatening condition despite my efforts to seek help early, but I also feel the situation was mishandled at multiple points. The consequences have been life-altering, both financially and physically. The first optometrist misdiagnosed me, claiming I had glaucoma, which is incurable. I refused to accept that, so after talking to some colleagues, I went to see Arzoo. She determined I have cataracts, and it's an easy thing to cure, where 99%+ surgeries are successful, and fast. She recommended a surgeon, who I won't name since I want the focus to be on Arzoo. :) I had plenty in my HSA, so I went to the surgeon she recommended. After two surgeries, one per eye, my vision is now better than 20/20. I'm so happy that I can see so clearly so far away. I need reading glasses for anything under 18" but I can see the instruments in my Jeep without any issue. I was told before surgery and I am totally fine with that! I just use reading glasses when I'm at my computer at home or work. I really mean it when I say Arzoo saved my life. Life today is so much happier than it was before I had cataract surgery. I went to this Allen office for an eye exam. The exam was done by a young lady who has a lot of…read moretatoos on both of her arms. The service was so-so, but that was not the real issue. The real issue was optical prescription. I took it to Costco to make lens. Upon receiving the new lens, my vision became a lot worse because my left eye could barely see anything. Opticians at Costco suggested me to go back to Key Whitman for an re-exam. The second time I had the same lady (not sure if she was a licensed optometrist). The exam equipment was ill prepared. The chart was not even in the center of my view. We struggled a lot with the machine to get through the exam. I took the new prescription to Costco. The optician saw the results and told me that it was impossible that two exams would yield such different results within 10 days timeframe. They strongly suggested me to get a second opinion from another optometrist. I later went to a new independent optometrist office, paid exam fee to get a new exam. This time, I noticed that in this other optometrist office, the service and equipment were day and night comparing to those at Key Whitman Allen office. Now I am wearing the new lens from the latest eye prescription and cannot be more happy with it.

Today I went for eyeglasses adjustment because my nose pads weren't symmetrical and one nose pad is touch my eyelid. Ricky one staff member came out to help me with it but only use an intimidating behavior to his satisfaction and convinced me that it seems perfect for him. I asked if he can use a tool instead of just his fingers for adjustment but Ricky insisted that his finger is a tool and the right tool. I felt my ears were so hot from high blood pressure and my stomach was cramping. It wasn't a good morning experience for an eyeglass adjustment.
