I used to love this place, I was in the area and needed a little under the mask face clean up. The lady was nice but kind of rough with the thread. I had to keep instructing her to what area I wanted done. She continued to go elsewhere. I am sensitive but not enough to this point. I also paid way more than expected. At my regular place I pay less for 4 service than at this one, where I was charged for only 2. Also the two halves of my face are uneven and i can be potential scarring. First time here today and yes there was a long wait. I thought maybe they were just packed and people were just complaining on yelp about it, but nope! I think I figured out why the wait is so long. The girl with the dyed blonde hair was eating an apple. She would disappear and then reappear and she would have long conversations with the customers. It was literally only the other young lady working. She did a beautiful job and it was fast. They don't do the temple massage like other places do but the price wasn't so bad. Came here once before around Christmas time and they did an awesome job. I wish I could say the same for my second experience. Today I walked in around 6pm in dire need of a brow wax and I was NOT greeted by any of the employees. After sitting around for 10-15 minutes and not getting acknowledged I decided it was time to take my business elsewhere. All 3 employees were casually chatting it up with their customers and laughing while doing their eyebrows on and off, it just didn't seem like my business was really valued. This place has definitely gone downhill recently. I went on a Monday a while back because there was this lady I really liked that worked on Mondays, but I noticed they replaced her with another lady. Let me tell you she was SUPER UNSANITARY. When I walked in she was eating her lunch and on her iPad, which of course is no big deal. I thought she would wash her hands or put sanitizer or something but NOPE. I was able to smell her food on her hands while she threaded my eyebrows. That should have been my last time there. I tried to give it another chance, so recently I went Tuesday and it was a different lady. I thought this would be a better experience, but I was wrong again. She was very rough on my skin and when she was done, my skin felt like it was BURNING. I woke up the next morning with a SCAB underneath my brow. This lady literally CUT ME. One thing I really hate is when businesses close the door before the actual time. I work as well and it sucks when people come in 10 minutes before closing but the reality is that its life and you must deal with it. I've been going to eyebrow beauty for about a year and loved it! However, the last time I went there I waited for about 35 minuets. Which is fine, but when it was my turn the girl took about 2 minuets and was very rushed, harsh, and rough. When she was finished, she told me someone else would ring me up and left the store. My review will be on two services: eyebrow threading and a bikini wax. Bikini wax - checking in via yelp is only $25. I thought why not give it a try since Sameera (a business a few miles away near CSUF) is always busy and Ziba (near Sameera) is closed down. The waxer (forgot her name) is very friendly and she did a great job. Painless and clean technique (no double dipping, etc). My only complaint is that they do not have a private room for a service that gets personal. I was not in a room, but a secluded area with closed curtains. I can hear what's going on the other side, and someone could easy peeked in. o.o Also, she took longer than usual, I"m used to the in and out in 15-20 min, but it took her about 30 min because she kept going in and out of the curtain rooms, which made me paranoid that someone can easily peek in. Eyebrow threading - I went a few days ago on 12/15/12 and had a young lady, she did a great job cleaning and shaping, however, she pulled my skin way too hard. Got here on a Friday afternoon and since I previously yelped the place I knew to ask for Ana. Sonny is the guy at the front desk and he immediatley greeted me and offered me a bottled water while I waited. They have a huge selection of NYX products in the front too which I looked at while I waited for Ana to finish with her client. Once she was done I was promptly called and Ana introducted herself. She has a very open, positive, attitude that immediatley made me feel comfortable. She asked me about my eyebrow shape preference and I asked her to tell me what she would suggest. She then grabbed a hand mirror to show me where she feels she could shape my brows. I unfortuantley have eyebrows that grow wierd. The left side was more angled and the right side a more upside down U shape. Ana says that for my face the angled shape would be the better choice. To even them out she made some suggestions which I liked. I noticed that they do not use regular white thread. The kind Ana used on me is green and when I brought this up with her she explained to me how they use antibacterial organic thread that is really meant to be used for faces. I noticed how much softer the thread felt on my skin. After she finished shaping and trimming my brows to perfection she then offered me a warm towel, toner, and finished the whole experience by filling my brows in nicely for more definition. My only suggestion to improve the place is for them to add toilet seat protectors in the bathroom and a bag hanger to put your bag. Overall I was very pleased with my entire experience and will be back. Once again Yelp steered me in the right direction. Cost: $7.99 for eybrows and $3.99 for upper lip, and $3 for a well deserved tip. read more

This was my second time there and have been disappointed both times. The first time I waited over 30 minutes to be helped, and the work was underwhelming to say the least. Today, I went in to have my eyebrows and lip threaded. When I walked in there were two girls working and one was available so she took me right back. I felt like she was really rushed and went through the procedure really quickly. She didn't trim my eyebrows and when she showed me the mirror I asked her, "Don't you trim them?" To which her response was that there was one hair sticking up so she cut that one. One hair... So I paid, left and drove away. A little later I checked my face in the mirror and when I saw in the sunlight I couldn't believe how much hair she missed! looked like John Waters! (Google him). I had to go home and spend over 30 minutes trying to tweeze the hair she left. I could have saved the $15 and done a better job myself. There was literally no one waiting to be helped and it was no where near closing time. I can't understand why she was in such a hurry to finish. This salon only does threading. When you only do one thing you'd better be damn good at it. Unfortunately your inept technician ruined my experience here. I'll never go back. read more

I have Been coming here for a couple years now maybe 3 years or so plus or minus. In the beginning or at least my first time here, the work done wasn't that good because I wasn't specific with what I wanted. Probably because I didn't know what look or how to be specific enough. But, I was recommended a look from Paola who had left the store.. after that first time I have had no complaints and it has been great. Paola was out of town but she has came back from what I understand. she's amazing at what she does, definitely recommend her. Now today though I had Maria.. I was her first client of the day, and she may have just got a new client in general, she did such an incredible job, and to be honest it was the best that I have ever had done any where else including there. I explained what I wanted, she was gentle, and had me looking clean. Used tweezers, thread, and scissors. Lets just say she did wonders. Definitely an A+ caliber. I've been to too many threading places that have jacked up my eyebrows. Eventually the art of eyebrows comes down to symmetry, and while many brow spots can make your brows look decent, they always seem to make one a little higher and slowly over a period of time you have one eyebrow down here and one eyebrow up here. Out of all the other eyebrow threading places I've been to, this is the best one I've been to so far. As soon as we walked in, they greeted us and gave my sister and I some free water bottles. Didn't have to wait that long either because I made an appointment earlier in the afternoon. I told Preeti about my previous experience at this other salon and how I discovered numerous red bumps all over my eyebrows afterwards. Yes, I have sensitive skin, but I never got that bad of a reaction before. Preeti understood my concerns and made sure I was comfortable. I was so impressed by Preeti's technique because she didn't hurt me one bit. Compared to the salon I went to last time, I didn't feel like my eyebrow hairs were getting yanked out. Preeti said that they use anti-bacterial thread (instead of the cheap, prickly thread they used on me at the other salon), so maybe that's why it was such a smooth process. Oh and I love the arch she gave me! It definitely adds a little *umph* to my eyebrows. After she finished threading my eyebrows, she put toner on them to close up the pores to reduce any breakout. She even placed a hot towel over my eyebrows (at no extra cost!) and it felt gooood. The other girl (I think her name was Ana) also gave us a little makeup lesson on how to define our eyebrows. Using one of the NYX dual eyebrow pencils, she colored in my sister's eyebrows and even drew in a slight arch. I love how she took the time to do this for us, while answering all of our questions. Excellent service. Great technique. Nice atmosphere. Classy decor. Solid prices. Beautiful work. Love the chairs. Seriously, the nicest people I've ever met. I tried this location only because I've been trying to find a less expensive and far place then what I've been going to, which was Ziba in the Cerritos mall. I went on a thursday afternoon, which was prime time for people to get service. I noticed the tranquil ambiance. It was so relaxing with the falling water fountain and nice music. Upon entrance I was greated by Pretti ( sorry I think I spelled it wrong). She was the only one working at the time. The wait didn't seem long... when it was my turn to get service she asked me what I wanted done. I was blown away because ZIBA never asked how you wanted things done... she was gentle and quick. My pain threshold is very small and I didn't feel a thing. I think it's the type of thread they use. ZIBA sometimes goes way too hard that I get teary- eyed. For the couple years I've been going here for my entire threading I've mostly seen the same two younger Hispanic women (i'm horrible with names) and the past 6 months or so I haven't seen any of the usual girls but now only see some older Indian women. Let me tell you the woman who has been doing my eyebrows lately has been doing a phenomenal job! I've gotten random compliments about how nice my eyebrows are. I actually really like this place. It's conveniently located, has fast and friendly service, and has decent prices. I've only gotten my eyebrows threaded here, but they always look great. I've gotten three different ladies, and they all did a good job with my eyebrows, so I don't really care who i get. All the girls seem pretty well trained! I love how they offer mini water bottles while waiting, shows that they aren't cheap and that they care about their customers. Two of my girls have left and I was forced to try someone new. I showed her the same photo that I've shown to the last two of the shape I desired and she told me it wasn't possible... although it has been done. Not only did she yank my skin out, my eyebrows looked very sloppy. The new girls are also very unfriendly and don't greet you when you walk in. You actually get a death stare or a look of annoyance. not too shabbby! This place is definitely very pleasing to the eyes - modern, clean, classy. However, it is definitely affordable. I was in need of a grooming and saw that they had a Yelp deal for $8 for $12 of service which will get you brows and lip! When I got there, only one person was working and I had 2 people ahead of me and I waited maybe 15-20 min? I guess its good that they take their time. Then another girl (Ana) came in and called me in. She asked me what I wanted which was nice and really listened and guided me through her actions. She told me exactly what she was doing and told me what I needed to do to get the results I wanted. The brows werent that painful but for some reason the upper lip hurt more than normal...
