[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was my second time in this shop. The first time, my brows were done a little too thin but I figured it was my fault for not being too specific other than saying "just a touch up, no shaping".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This time, the job was awful. Good little chunk taken out of the bottom front. Little hairs still left on the eyelid and under the brow. Rushed job when I was the only one in the store. Buyer beware.

Moved to San Francisco and found this place on Yelp. The lady who did my eyebrows was very nice and welcoming. I wish I got her name. I told her I just wanted a clean up and to keep the shape of my natural brows. She would keep checking with me and showing me in the mirror if I liked it or wanted a little more threading. I truly appreciated her care in making sure I liked my eyebrows. She did a wonderful job! Sometimes at other places, they make my brow too thin, but she was able to keep that fullness I originally had and make it look way cleaner. I'll definitely be going back when I need another clean up! :)

Asked for eyebrows clean up and asked to keep them thicker and she did exactly that. I've been coming here since March 2025 and my brows are ALWAYS threaded with such care and meticulousness!! I go once a month to thicken my brows and Bissu always leaves them shaped so nicely. CRISP!!! She never thins them out, and she only cleans them up to leave them thick enough with visible cleanup. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She also always asks me if I want to maintain them thicker or thinner and I really appreciate that[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] because others have assumed and left them too thin or unclean!! Never her!! Can't recommend her enough!! read more

First of all let me say that I'm very paticular about my eyebrows. The last time I got my eyebrows threaded and LOVED it was in San Fernando, Trinidad at the 2012 Carnival. The stylist was a beautiful South Asian Woman named Ami and I tipped her $20bucks for her superior work. I mention that she was South Asian because threading is a part of their culture. With that being said Bissu is the truth. She is the real deal and you will receive so much authenticity when you come see her. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She had a vision for my brows and explained to me about the growth I still need to achieve my desired look.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love the way my brows came out. I was in the city visiting from Southern California and stumbled upon the best threader I've been to in decades. Look at God. Really enjoyed my first threading experience here! My brows look great and I loved how gentle the threading was since I haven't gotten my brows threaded in a while. The prices are very fair and I came at the perfect time with only one person in the chair and no one else in line. But when my session was complete there were 4 other individuals waiting in line since this place is available for walk ins. Only thing I would have liked more is if there was an appointment system since I can totally see this place taking a while with that many people in line if you happen to show up at the same time as many others. Overall, loved how detailed and caring the service here was, even double and triple checking after each touch up with customer feedback on any other areas to clean up. Highly recommend! read more

I was looking for a new place in the city to get my brows done, and I'm so happy I stumbled upon this one! I came around 1:30pm on a Thursday, and there was plenty of street parking and no wait to get my service. The store is on the corner of the street, so it's nice and bright with windows, and the chairs are comfortable to rest on. My total was $19 for threading of my brows and upper lip, which was a great deal (and done quick!). Very excited to be a returning customer. read more

Bisu does a fantastic job. I've been to many of the local salons here for eyebrows and have had mixed results. Some of the other salons have one really strong person and the rest are not as good, so you're rolling the dice when you go in. But Bisu has consistently done an amazing job. Most importantly, she is just really good at styling eyebrows, so you don't end up with eyebrows that are too thin, too short, or uneven in shape. Secondly, she's very friendly and actually tries to get to know you and asks what you are looking for rather than just getting to work without any direction. Pricing-wise I feel she's very competitive with other local salons, and given the better/more consistent quality, I think Bisu will be my go-to from now on. read more

I gave this spot a try since my go to brow lady was closed for the day and I needed my brows done before a trip. Bissu was very sweet. Unfortunately, I was left dissatisfied with the results. My brows were left thin after I asked for a clean up and I agreed to have her leave them as thick as possible. I now have to wait for my brows to grow back, especially beneath the right brow which now has a patch of hair gone read more

Service was friendly but unfortunately, she made my eyebrows way too thin and uneven. My eyebrows aren't difficult but one tends to be thicker than the other. Instead of letting some hair grow on the thinner brow, she made them both too thin. It has been 3 weeks and they still haven't grown back right, I guess I have to grow them fully into caterpillars to restore them... I have been threaded countless times and I haven't had someone mess them up this badly in a really long time. read more

I happened upon this place earlier this evening while in desperate need of a 'clean up as it was closest to my location. Even though it was less than one mile away, after racing against the evening rush hour traffic, I somehow managed to miss this place and drive right past..! Best eyebrow threading service in SF - I've been to three so far and have had my eyebrows threaded for seven years. I'm on my way to the airport and feel compelled to write this review because of the awesome experience. The results are very good, the threading is painless, work is quick, and importantly - price cannot be beat @ $20 for eyebrow, lip, and forehead threading. Price for eyebrows alone is $10. Unreal! People are also super welcoming and polite - they asked for my name and thanked me for my visit, which was a nice touch. Punch card gives you free eyebrow threading on the 10th visit! read more

I gave Eyebrowcare a chance as I'm new to the neighborhood and really needed to get my brows done. I loved how friendly the gal was who did my brows (I unfortunately can't remember her name now). As I hadn't really done my brows professionally for the last 8 months due to covid there was A LOT of cleanup to do and she did great! As far as covid guidelines go, I felt very safe. We both wore masks and when it was time to do my upper lip and I had to pull my mask down she put on a face shield for extra protection which I appreciated. All in all, I thought it was a great experience at a very affordable price point. (Only $15 for brows and upper lip) I'll certainly be back. read more

Pro: - Walked in with no appointment & did not have to wait - Fast (took less than 15 minutes) - Affordable. $10 for eyebrow threading - Stamp card. You can get every 10th one for free Con: - I don't know what people are talking about--it hurt A LOT. I've never gotten threaded before but I do wax and pluck often. - She doesn't ask what shape you want. Looking at the other Yelp photos, it looks like she does the same slightly arched shape on everyone. It's not bad, but I am into a straighter brow at the moment I would go back read more

Bissu is fast, friendly, and incredibly attentive! She was immediately able to identify all the bad things I've done to my brows (ie plucking) and fix it. I think she's really good at finding the right shape to make your eyebrows thick and clean, and you can walk right out looking great without having the fill them in! read more

Was so desperate for a threading spot at around 6:40 pm on a Saturday. And finally found this spot. She was about to close and since I called she waited and did my eyebrows. So loved the customer service. And coming to the threading by itself, am not easily satisfied with my eyebrows, but she was patient enough to first ask how I wanted it and then got feedback from me throughout. Loved it! It's especially disappointing considering the prices have gone up. I completely understand inflation and don't mind paying more, but when prices increase, the quality should stay consistent or improve, not decline. I've since taken my business elsewhere. She absolutely over threaded them and butchered my eyebrows for the next 6 weeks. She remarked that my skin was sensitive while she was threading; yes, my skin is generally sensitive but I had never had a threading hurt this much. I had a feeling that maybe she was over-doing it, but I can't exactly open my eyes while I'm getting hair removed so I decided to trust her. When she showed me the mirror, I didn't even want to look. I paid and left, and immediately started googling for eyebrow pens. It's actually so bad that I don't even want to attach a picture. I asked for a natural clean up and she gave me the stick eyebrows of the 2000s. I've gone here numerous times before. It has never been consistent. Sometimes, they barely thread it. Other times, it looks right and I'm happy with it. Never have they butchered it like this before though; I'm genuinely worried it might not grow back the same now. Extremely unhappy. Despite it being so close to me, I'm never returning.

I knocked off a star because they charge a $10 credit card fee but the cost is too high to be carrying cash for it. I have bought a Gua sha tool from them, specifically to help with pressure points and migraines. I also got an attar balm recommended by my aesthetician to help with my dry patches on my cheek. One of the biggest reasons I booked at Monastery is because they make so many of their own products with very natural ingredients. Although I didn't intend to buy products that day, I ended up leaving with the Lapiz body oil and Rose cleansing oil. I am not a skin care person, but these products might be making me look forward to it more. Also of note: Monastery was incredibly clean and quiet. Minimal and elegant.
