I'm not sure if it's because they've built a loyal clientele or something else, but the attention to detail just isn't what it used to be. It's especially disappointing considering the prices have gone up. I completely understand inflation and don't mind paying more, but when prices increase, the quality should stay consistent or improve, not decline. I've since taken my business elsewhere. I'm paying more now, but it's worth it for consistent results and not having my eyebrows come out uneven.

Now that I've had some time to look back on my draft, I realize I am still upset by my interaction with the manager here and want to make sure other potential customers are at least aware of my experience.] Update to my last review: The manager, Babaina, called me and I didn't have a great experience speaking with him. He was extremely focused on my review and getting me to delete it at any expense. His tone was very accusatory to me as someone who posted a negative (and honest) review, that everything was all about his business and his presence and number of stars on Yelp. He did not seem concerned with satisfying me as a customer, saying sorry for my experience, or asking how they can do better as a business. (To be fair, I did not contact Hollywood Beauty Threading when I realized how bad my extensions were. Babaina says they would have fixed it.) Here is the timeline of events: December 7, 2017 Babaina called me (I suppose he got my phone number from their booking calendar). He was really concerned about my review, saying that it would affect their business, and asked if I would remove it. I did not feel comfortable removing my review (it was, after all, my honest experience). He offered a refund on my extensions, and then added a free threading in exchange for removing my review. I said I would UPDATE my review with my threading experience. I said I would not change or delete my original review unless I had a good extension from them, and I did not want to get an extension from the same person again. He agreed reluctantly with this. Babaina called me back in a few minutes and said he would bring someone from his Stonestown location to do extensions for me. I said if I had a good experience, then I would actually change my review. I also said that he wasn't getting a return customer out of me, as this person from Stonestown cannot normally come to the Mission location (which is near my home), but I supposed he just cared about the review getting removed. Yup, he didn't care about satisfying me as a customer long-term - he just wanted to get rid of that review. So we made an appointment for December 19. December 12, 2017 I called Babaina after looking up eyelash extension Yelp reviews at the Stonestown location (all very negative) and left a message asking to cancel the appointment we made. I wanted to give plenty of notice and didn't want the woman coming all the way from Stonestown to make a trip for nothing. Babaina called back a couple times, but left no message. I assumed if it was important enough, he would leave a message. I didn't have time to deal with this any more at that point as I was leaving the country the next week. January 1, 2018 I return home from the holidays and call Hollywood Beauty Threading asking if I could still get a refund for my extensions. They said they are not giving me any refund or make-up extension. I don't care that I didn't get any refund or make up extensions, but I don't care for the way Babaina spoke to me and treated me as just a transaction. He should have cared more about my experience as a customer and not been so accusational towards me.

It's located in the first floor of one of the big apartment buildings on San Pablo - it's a small kiosk type shop with a number of other beauty service related operations. Even though it is on SP, parking was really easy to find - I just parked around the corner on a side street less than a block away. Shanti was absolutely amazing! Her vibe is super chill and laid back and she has the precision of a surgeon. I couldn't believe how clean and perfect my brows were when she finished. As a first time threading recipient, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the pain is quite minimal. If you have any experience with tweezing and/or waxing, you'll be just fine. Shanti is really great making you feel comfortable. She holds great conversation and is really friendly. I would go back and make sure that I book with her specifically in the future just to hang with her again while she brings my brows back to life. I get my brows laminated every few months, and I like them to be really precise and combed and gel upwards and bushy. She took every stray hair out, evened them out and trimmed them where needed. All in about 15 minutes! Definitely don't sleep on this cozy little shop and get pampered at a great price with a professional with a ton of experience who makes it look really easy!
