I went in early on a Saturday. There was only one person waiting to be helped. There were 4 staff people standing around talking. Their tone of voice and quiet whisperings suggested that they were gossiping. I was completely ignored for at least 10 minutes. I finally decided to leave when a nice person came out from the back and greeted me. OK, I thought, we'll give this a chance. After I gave my insurance info, it was another 20 minutes before I was helped. The whole time I waited, there were at least 4 employees standing around talking to each other. They told me my lenses would be ready in a week (I had my own frames). Two weeks later, after calling numerous times. My glasses were returned. they never called me to tell me they were there. I haven't picked them up yet, in fact, I dread going back to this place. I would NOT recommend this place at all. read more

I went in for a routine eye exam and expected to pay my $10 copay. Once it became apparent that I did not want to order my prescription contact lenses or a new set of glasses there was suddenly a $40 prescription fee to get a copy of my prescription when that is a part of the exam my insurance pays for. There was also a $25 "contact lens fitting fee" which consisted of them providing a sink to wash my hands and a mirror to put in my own contact lenses. This place is a total screw job. the ladies at the front desk are rude and the wait is absurdly long. read more

Took my 2 year old here last July to get her eyes checked. The doctor did not dilate her eyes and as a result was wearing the wrong prescription for almost a year. I was told that she did not need her eyes dilated because she was too young. She has strabismus and I was told that an eye patch would be the last solution. Took her to a pediatric ophthalmologist and her prescription was off +2 in each eye and she is now wearing a patch. Which the ophthalmologist said is the first thing that you do to help strabismus. Called back to speak with the doctor to see if he would pay for the new lenses. Never received a call back. Truly disappointed. Do not take children there. read more

I have been going to Eye Center optometric for roughly 4-5 years. About two years ago, I ran into my first problem which was an inaccurate prescription prescribed to me. I went back to have my eyes re-examined and discovered that it was significantly off (by 7°). During the initial exam the doctor was typing in the new prescription into my profile on his computer. Suddenly another doctor came into the room and asked him whose profile he was currently accessing, my doctor read off another females name, not mine. This meant he was typing in my prescription into another person's profile and didn't even realize that the name on the screen didn't match the person sitting in front of him. I ended up having to have my glasses remade as well as my sunglasses due to the inaccurate prescription originally prescribed. Due to their error, they remade them at no cost to me. When I came back to pick them up and I felt like they were still slightly off, the doctor told me that due to my significant astigmatism this is the best that they could get to 20/20. Fast forward to November 2014, I was due for my two year Eye exam. The exam was conducted, I ordered glasses and prescription sunglasses through another company this time, but used the prescription provided to me by Eye Center Optometric's. Again, I experienced my eyes being unable to adjust to the prescription. I began having headaches and went back to Eye Center optometric to be re-examined. Again they found that the prescription was off. They wrote me a new prescription, I took the new prescription to the company that made my glasses, and luckily they remade them (both regular glasses and sunglasses) again with the new prescription. When those were ready I went and picked those up, wore them for a while, and continued to not be able to see clearly. I went back to Eye Center optometric a third time and had an exam done again. And again, the prescription was off. They wrote me a new prescription. I took it back to the company that made my glasses and this time they refused to remake them again at no cost. I went back to Eye Center optometric and told them that the company was going to charge me to remake the glasses, consequently I asked if Eye Center optometric would cover the cost of remaking the lenses for both pairs of glasses considering the prescription was off multiple times (an error produced on their end). They told me the best that they could do was take 50% off of remaking the lenses, which would still calculate two $240. Seeing as I already used up my insurance on the initial pair of glasses, this would be out of my own pocket. The doctor treated me with disrespect when I told him I felt it was his duty and responsibility to make things right considering the prescription was wrong. He stated "well if you want to go somewhere where they get the prescription perfect the first time then maybe you need to take your business elsewhere.". It made me feel completely invaluable and dispensable. Considering I was a client and customer here for so many years, I never would have expected to be treated that way. read more

I was looking for a new eye doctor and nervous about the whole thing. I have VSP eye insurance, so I used my member portal to find a local doctor who had extended hours and a large frame selection. I scheduled an appointment at https://www.eyecenteroptometric.com/ and found their website easy to navigate and full of helpful information. The front desk staff were very polite and welcoming. The technician, Taylor, who assisted me was sweet and very knowledgeable. Dr. Linda Rappa came in the exam room and did a thorough exam, listened to my history and made recommendations based on my needs and lifestyle. I can't wait to try out new contacts and buy glasses. I'm so pleased with the service I received and have recommended them to two friends already! read more

Dr. Randall Fuerst is the BEST!!! My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Randy for well over 10 years. You know he'll be there every year for you for your yearly exam, but more important you know he'll be there for you when you have something more serious going on. When my husband developed an infection that could have caused him to loose his site, Dr. Randy was there. Dr. Randy saw him every other day to monitor the progress and make sure the infection wasn't getting worse but better. Finally after a couple months of treatment the infection was gone and my husbands site was saved. Also Dr. Randy is up on the latest technology in eye care. If there's something out there that can help your vision he knows about it. Besides being a great doctor he's a great person. He is always glad to see you. He remembers what was going on with you the last time you were there. And you can tell he really wants to help. As you can tell I can't say enough good things about Dr. Randy. The front desk and optical staff complete the whole package. The front desk always greet you as soon as you walk in and make you feel welcome. The optical staff has been a huge help to me each year when I'm picking out new eye glasses. They don't sugar coat anything, they let you know what looks good on you and what doesn't by your face shape and coloring. Which is a huge help when you can't see anything unless you get your face two inches from the mirror, like me. So all in all EyeCenter Optometric is the place to go and Dr. Randall Fuerst is the guy to see. read more

I waited a month..Well 28 Days. I went in after 15 Was told 5 More days they would call 10 days later called and left two messages with my phone # wed at 10am and at 2 pm then at 4 pm wrote email to service manager left phone# got call Thurs from manager was polite and said she would call lab and find out. Get call from Brother friday who lives in diff city saying message on his machine that my glasses ready. Read one stars here and decide to pick them up 5 min before close. Announce my name to one while watching eye roller next to her. i get the sorry there is a few people ahead of you as two other reviews. While two others walk in and out with pick ups. Followed both out for questioning. Both got calls and both were very long time.....Anyway one star for price was reasonable. Front counter is the most unprofessional, rude person. She does not belong in customer service. I spend a lot on my eyes. i wont drop another cent here. good luck. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Randy's since I was 16 years old (I am now 45). I would not trust my eyesight to any other. Dr. Randy is kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and experienced. He is always on time and takes the time to explain the procedures, process, etc., in great detail. He is a professional who cares about each of his patients. A rare find these days! Recently, I had my then 6-year old daughter come in for an eye exam with Dr. Randy, and he was great at distilling her fears and gaining her trust! My daughter loves Dr. Randy and can't wait to see him again. He made going to the eye doctor fun for her. Also, the staff are always courteous, and helpful. I never had a bad experience and really appreciate everyone at the EYE Center who assists me from wearing contact lens to picking out the coolest shades for my sun glasses.
