I came in to get my glasses adjusted and nose pieces fixed and lucy was awesome and very sweet. My glasses have a lot of wear n tear and she fixed them with no hesitation or judgement. My experience at this establishment was incredibly disappointing. The staff were unprofessional and rude, and the doctor was dismissive of my concerns, offering no real consideration for my needs. I went in for a simple prescription for reading glasses, but the doctor insisted I needed full-time corrective lenses, despite my explaining that I only have difficulty seeing up close. I also mentioned that my current glasses were too strong and causing headaches, which is why I sought a second opinion here. The doctor's response was not only irrelevant but also condescending. He lectured me about how people in Third World countries would be grateful for any pair of glasses, implying that I was ungrateful for wanting the right prescription. He then informed me I had growths on my eyes--something no other optometrist had ever mentioned. While I'll seek a second opinion on this, the entire encounter left me frustrated and unsure about the accuracy of his diagnosis. After this, I was directed to choose frames, but I wasn't confident in the doctor's prescription. I was approached by a staff member offering help, and when I declined, he continued to push his unsolicited opinions on the frames, making unhelpful and rude comments about how they looked on me. This added to my discomfort, and I decided I no longer wanted to proceed with the purchase. At that point, I was told to pay $75 for the eye exam, though I had booked the appointment under the assumption the exam was part of the glasses deal. When I mentioned other places that included the exam with a glasses purchase, the staff member rudely dismissed me, speaking down to me as if I didn't understand how these offers worked. Reluctantly, I paid the fee and selected two frames--one for readers and one for full-time wear, despite my reservations. When my glasses were ready for pickup, I was unable to go myself, so my boyfriend collected them. To my shock, I received two pairs with the same frame--neither of which fit properly nor provide clear vision at any distance. They fall off my face and are entirely useless. I will be returning these glasses and requesting a full refund. This was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had at an optometry office. In hindsight, I should have stuck with America's Best, where I've had much better experiences in the past. read more

If there were more than 5 stars I would give them! From the moment I set my appointment on the phone to my actual appointment I had nothing but a pleasant experience. The employees think outside the box and go the extra mile to ensure they communicate anything concerning insurance prior to the appointment. Upon my arrival I met with Jesus who was such a delight he made me feel very comfortable and was super informative! After a Month I'm still waiting on my prescription sunglasses I bought here. This a decent place to get an exam, but don't buy Sunglasses here, you probably won't ever get them. The staff are friendly except the Ladies that make the glasses, apparently they don't do special orders and they hate doing any type of tint. They do offer polarized glasses but they'll never make them. Get your prescription and go somewhere else. read more

The chairs were filthy. Two of the machines used for the eye exam were filthy. I received a text stating my glasses were ready for pick-up only to arrive and be told by a clueless employee my glasses were not in-store. After waiting close to two weeks, I returned to the store - my glasses were "found" in the same drawer the clueless associate searched previously. Terrible customer service. read more

I'll start off by saying I had an awful experience at the Peoria location. Check out that review too... My son's glasses broke after less than 2 months. I called the location in Goodyear Arizona and they said I didn't buy the warranty and I would have to pay full price for a replacement set of frames which is $78. But if I get an entire set of frames and lenses they would be 2 for $78. The frames clearly had a structural issue and broke because they are garbage. Expensive garbage. I get a warranty covers me from damage, but I expect frames to last at least a year.. or even 3 months. Thanks to zenni optical I can have a new set delivered for $60. read more

Awful experience, came in wanting an eye exam and to address some concerns I had with my vision. Before making the appointment I called to see if the eye exam was included in their promos where you buy 2 for one price, as I had another appointment I was looking at elsewhere that included the exam in their promo, but this place was closer to me and they could get me in sooner. I was told yes, so I went ahead and proceeded with making the appointment with this location. My boyfriend came with me to help me pick frames out, it's been a while since I have worn glasses, I mainly have worn contacts throughout the years but wanted a break due to uprising vision issues and needed some help picking some glasses out and a confident boost. The first part of the exam went okay, the second part when I was switched off to the doctor is where it just started to go bad. First off I don't appreciate him assuming my ethnicity just based off of my name and assuming I speak Spanish (which I don't) and getting the meaning wrong to begin with and his co-workers having to correct him and him laughing it off. I came in because I have been having issues with my vision, seeing blurry spots in the center and eye pressure and I was concerned. My concerns were blown off with it happens with age and only gets worse and instead wanted to tell me jokes, which isn't really professional in my opinion, not when someone is trying to tell you their concerns about their health. I was over this exam at this point because I felt like I wasn't getting any comforting answers. My boyfriend and I started looking at frames afterwards, I am petite so it is hard finding things that look proportioned right on me, and like I said it has been a while since I've worn glasses so it did take me a bit to find a few frames to decide from. It did seem like we were being rushed to make a decision. Finally we went to go check out and going in I thought the exam was included with the promo they had going on (as I called and asked prior to making the appointment) I was told no that they aren't, and I explained that I called in to ask that question before making the appointment so I wouldn't run into this exact issue as I originally had an appointment somewhere else that did include it in their promo. As we were already there and wasted our time there I was debating on just paying the price and taking my loss but the final straw was when another gentleman working there walked by and made the comment about us being there for a while and having tried on almost all of the frames. I felt that comment was really unnecessary. I'm paying for the service and I'm going to be wearing the product I should be comfortable in it, so if it does take me trying on every single frame so be it, but why make a comment towards me? I ended up paying for the eye exam and just walking out, just a bad experience here regardless of the miscommunication of the eye exam. I came here a few years back and had a wonderful experience and thought it would be another good one, sadly it wasn't. read more

So a couple weeks ago I go and make a apt for my son I though the lady was just having a bad day but she had a attitude of I hate my job but I'm like I try it next week I go we get helped from the same girl same attitude again and I am thinking that it's sad then we see the dr she nice good personality but her representatives that help her suck so I call to make a apt it sounds like the same girl she says let me put you on hold so I can see the next availability and I'm thinking ok it won't take long I have to go to work nope on the phone 7 min so I hang up and call back and I tell the girl she has bad customer care and they never have the availability that is needed. We were looking for a new eye doctor and decided to try here. We sat for 30 mins at our scheduled appointment time to then be asked about our insurance that was given two weeks prior to the appointment. Once we saw the doctor we were quickly seen by staff. My husband had a fine experience with Nicki. I however did not with the male staff member. He half asses measuring where the spot on the glasses should be for the prescription and with insurance came to a whopping $345, this was my first time with progressives and transitions. I wasn't given options for lenses, view, etc. I had to return the glasses because the transition of progressive was not sat right. They redid them, after a week of having them back I could adjust and went back to have them split the prescription. While I was there another customer came in with a problem of having a negative prescription on his glasses because the doctor made an error. After splitting my prescription I was able to use an old pair of sunglasses to get the lenses replaced and removed the transitions on the original glasses resulting in me not having to pay extra for the sun glass lenses but still feel I paid too much. Dropped off my sunglasses when picking up my eyeglasses and told the tech wasn't in that day to cut the lenses for my sunglasses. Umm why would you not have told me that when I called to see if they were in? Fine dropped them off anyways and was told she would do them first thing in the morning. Quite a few customers in the lobby waiting to be helped, went to the bathroom to see two other staff members sitting in an office chit chatting. Called at noon to be told she's backed up and would be done by 4. Don't waste your time. I have made 4 trips soon to be 5. Will never go here again! read more

I called last week to ask if my insurance was accepted. Once I was told yes, an appointment was set for me. Excellent service and the two glasses' prescriptions were done correctly. The two for one is a great promotion. My only pet I peeve is when spending hundreds of dollars they present your glasses in the cheapest plastic cases you could ever imagine. We had a very pleasant experience here, We were just in the area when my wife seen this place from the street. Asked me to stop here so we can get one of our daughters glasses repaired. Natalie's glasses were missing one of the screws, and Neci's were loose. So when my wife left, both glasses were repaired, they gave her two new hard glass cases, all for free. I would think a company that sells glasses would understand the importance of needing your glasses. When I ordered my glasses, Eyeglass World told me it would take 10 days, maybe sooner. On the 8th day I called to check on them. The person I spoke with sounded a bit annoyed that I was bothering them but said that they would call me as soon as they came in. On the 12th day I called again as I had not heard anything. The person I spoke with said my first pair was in and that they were not sure how long they were there. My second pair was is supposed to be in the next day. Two weeks later I decided to call and again the person I spoke with said they were there. What will not be openly said until after you have paid is that prescription safety glasses are a 10 day wait not same day and in my case 21 days and a host of excuses. The price I was quoted for single vision was $274 in addition to the $190 my insurance covered, this was double the price I would pay anywhere else, and I knew this. When I scoffed at the price and asked to see an invoice to justify the price that request was ignored, and the computer magic took place (yes sarcasm) and brought it down to $74 bucks out of pocket. There is a reason why the computer screen isn't seen by the customer. On day 8 called to make sure my glasses would be available on day 10 the excuses started with the first being my lenses got broken by accident, delays due to covid and then the truth came out they didn't even have the frames. I hope this information helps someone else to avoid this place. read more

Came to this location which clearly says walk ins welcome I was told three people ahead of me no problem they checked me in told me it would be an hour took my number so I could go next store get a pedi but before I left I noted that the lady that was helping me seemed to be a little rude and not really wanting to assist me when I returned less than an hour later before I got in the door I was told you went past the time we can't help you. I pointed out the time and i was back before the hour was up, they said oh you were checked in at that time (4:37) I was then told oh well doctor won't see you. Clearly they just didn't want to serve me I have my own belief as to why they wouldn't help me but I will just say there customer service toward me was horrible. read more

Worst experience ever at any eyeglass place. Was patiently waiting for nearly 30 minutes along with my wife, when a young girl came in and was immediately helped. I stated that, I had been waiting for a while. One of the young ladies in a greenish sweater told me that the person assisting the young lady would not be able to assist me with my glasses (using a loud angry tone.) At this point; I turned to my wife and said to her "let's go." I will never be retuning to this place ever, too bad because I'm an old recurring customer. read more

I've been going here for years and always had good service and I really like the female doctor that I always see (don't know her name). This year I came in and Heather was very nice and helpful and a joy to work with. Unfortunately, the female doctor wasn't in and I seen a male Dr. Stein who was terrible. He didn't ask me any questions or speak to me. He sat me in the chair and had me look through the machine that he had already adjusted and said " can you see through this?" to which I said yes. Little did I know he was changing my prescription and the brand of contacts he was putting me in. Not the brand I have worn for years. He didn't have any trials for me to try so it wasn't for about two weeks (and after ordering contacts) I figured out what he put me in didn't work at all and I couldn't see or get the new brand out of my eyes. Luckily I came back in upset but Heather was there and calmed me down and assured me she would get things taken care of. She got me back in front of my normal female doctor I always see who changed my prescription back to what it was previously and gave me trials to use. This was perfect and Heather got the corrected order processed and turned a frustrated customer into a happy and satisfied customer. I came in to buy some eyeglass cleaning solution. They let me know that if I bought the large bottle I could bring it in for free refills. So I bought the large one instead. Great deal! Also, my eyeglasses were bent a little from a fall I had. I had purchased them from a doctor in NJ. They were able to quickly fix them and they didn't bother to charge me for the easy fix. Goodyear office had a bad experience with a staff member name Eric due to the service that my son received while he was there, I had Schedule in appointment for a full eye exam which would have included a vision check, dilation and eye ware instead they just done an eye exam only. we had full coverage for vision which I verified before making the appointment all info was given to the office, they also told him that our insurance did not cover for the lenses, and this was all said and done without them even taking the time to verify the insurance the excuse that they used was because they only have 15 minutes with the patients that made no sense to me insurance should always be verified while the patient is there or before and I speak from experience. The gentlemen was very rude not a good listener totally unprofessional and to top it off he even hung up on me in the middle of my sentence. I think this gentleman should be apprehended and get retrain in how to deal with people in a professional manner. read more

Ordered new lenses for an existing pair of glasses. We are told it will take a week to get the lenses, despite them advertising same-day glasses. So I order and wait a week. When I come in, they took 20 minutes to find the lenses. They then tell me that their tech is backed up and can't customize the lenses for another 5 days. 6 days later I come in and they can't find the frames that they made me leave with them. 20 minutes later they find them and tell me that they didn't finish the lenses because their machine has been broken for several weeks. So for several weeks they lied to me and I ended up with nothing but a refund. read more

It was time to have my eyes checked since it's been over two years I also talked my other half into going . We've been to another location (35th and Peoria) and had the best experience ever all around ,so I figured since we've moved we'd try this location which is closer for us. The appointment process was great. We got in the next day. However once we signed in, the wait was very long. I had to ask when I would be seen (since I had to be at work in a little over an hour) , the woman that worked the desk was pleasant taking my co pay but when asked about how much longer was snippy and a tad rude. Forty minutes later I was taken in to do the basic tests ( I didn't pay the $15.00 for the directional test) and back into the waiting room. By the time I saw the doctor I had waited a good 65 minutes past the appointment time. Hmmm. I chose my frames and lens and paid. My husband didn't have a great experience here at all with the woman at the desk. The selection was not as extensive as I remember from the other location. Not sure if this is standard now for them all or maybe it's just the Goodyear store that has less selection. I needed a new prescription, this store did that for me. But I think I will go back to and recommend the 35th and Peoria location. The staff there was nice, professional and got you in pretty close to your appointment time. The Goodyear location, hmmm.. not so much. LOL.. I'm still waiting for my eyesglasse to come in. I hope they come in without any issues :) read more

The exam and appt was quick and I did get my glasses the same day. The doctor was ok. That's really the only positive thing about my experience. Although I did feel the exam and selection process was rushed. Nearly every woman in the front that I encountered was really rude and acted like it a bother you are there giving them business. I say "nearly" because I'm sure I just didn't interact with everyone there. They literally will cut you off when you're talking or look at you very rude right to your face when your talking to them. I can't call out one person that I thought went above and beyond or was even really pleasant. I encountered about four different women there all with this attitude. It seems it's an accepted culture at this location. I will not go back and would not recommend them to others. read more

This place rocks, my wife purchased glasses last October (2015) and I finely talked her to get her glasses fixed. She did not have the original paperwork but Eyeglass World was able to find all info on there computers. Her normal glasses were ready within a few hours and her transitions glasses needed to be ordered but, that wa s no problem. When I picked them up, I had a few questions, and they were able to get me the answers in a blink of an eye. Just like in the movie The Terminator, I'll be back! read more
