I took them to another optical department for a repair, but they told me they didn't have the correct length of wire and had to rig the repair. Afterward, the frames never felt quite right. Today, I noticed the wire was actually hanging out from the top of my frame. I first stopped at another optical center in Surprise that I knew did repairs, but they told me they wouldn't repair frames that weren't purchased from their location. So I went to LensCrafters in Surprise -- and what a difference! From the moment I walked in, the team was friendly, welcoming, and completely confident that they could fix my glasses. Keep in mind, this was only about an hour and a half before closing. Ricardo told me, "I'll take care of your glasses. Just give me about an hour." I ran a few errands, and before long I received a call saying my glasses were ready. When I returned, Ricardo explained that he had straightened the frames and installed all-new wire. I put them on, and they felt fantastic -- comfortable, straight, and sitting perfectly on my face. I asked what I owed them, and they wouldn't accept payment. I was told it's LensCrafters' policy to provide these types of repairs at no charge. The confidence, friendliness, and willingness to help really impressed me. This was very disappointing because I had waited literally a month for this and to be turned away, that was a horrible experience. I brought my 14-year-old son in to get contacts and learn how to insert them. After two appointments, he was still having difficulty, so they sent him home with a trial pair to practice. Afterward, I received TWO voicemails from the store saying his contacts were ready for pickup and telling me to come in at my earliest convenience. I drove roughly an hour round trip specifically because of those messages. When I arrived, Haylee refused to give me the contacts because my son supposedly needed another insertion appointment. I showed Haylee the voicemail transcription on my phone and had her read it herself. It clearly said the contacts were ready for pickup and told me to come in at my earliest convenience. Instead of acknowledging their miscommunication, the situation became argumentative. I asked for a refund. I paid approximately $400 in CASH, but they refused to return my cash and said I would have to wait up to 20 business days for a corporate check. I still agreed to make another appointment for my son. About an hour before that appointment, store manager John Martinez called and told me he wanted me to apologize to Haylee before they would continue with the appointment. I refused. I don't believe I owe an apology for being frustrated after their own voicemail caused me to make an unnecessary trip. John then hung up on me. Now my 14-year-old son has no contacts, I'm out approximately $400, and I have to spend another $400 somewhere else while waiting up to 20 business days for my refund. This has put me in a financial difficulty that could have easily been avoided. Mistakes happen. My problem is the lack of accountability and how Haylee and John Martinez handled the mistake afterward. A simple acknowledgment and apology would have resolved this. Instead, they lost a customer and left me waiting for my money while my son still doesn't have his contacts. I absolutely would not recommend this location.

I happened to be going to Walmart and thought, 'Why not?'. It was the most comprehensive eye exam that I've received in.... decades. Dr. Halloway took his time and there were definite changes to my prescription. I decided to order my glasses from them and it was a fraction of what the box store wanted to just redo my lenses. One of the arms was substantially bent, the lenses had minor cracks, and the bridge was noticeably off-center. In less than a few hours, my glasses looked like brand new!
