Unfortunately, the results were the opposite -- my brows were tinted jet black, nothing close to what I asked for. When I expressed my concern, Emma's explanation was that my skin was dry and absorbed the dye, which I did not find to be an acceptable or professional response. To make matters worse, the waxing left my face severely red with small sores that are still present more than 24 hours later with no improvement. I paid $95.00 for a service that did not deliver what was promised and has left me with visible skin damage. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had anywhere. When I showed up on time, another stylist told me Andrea had canceled her 10:00 clients and wouldn't be in until noon -- and Andrea never notified me. I finally heard from her around 11:30. Her tone was casual, not sincerely apologetic, and she offered me a discounted service as if that would fix wasting my entire morning. At that point, it felt like an insult. What really stings is the contrast: Andrea made sure to tell me she couldn't take me in October because of her "celebrity" client, yet she couldn't even extend the basic courtesy of canceling or notifying me. It left me feeling like, if you're not a celebrity, your time and business just don't matter to her. I don't care about discounts -- I care about professionalism and respect. I knew that it would be a lot of upkeep, but I did not know it would be ADDICTING. My eyeballs just feel so NAKED without my eyelash extensions done by Cheryl. I naturally I have very thin/fine hair, so my eyelashes are obsolete. I usually have to wear eye liner/makeup to enhance my eyes, but NOT ANYMORE! Cheryl was taking private clients only, but she has now opened up a new lash room in Poway. She shares a cute office with another gal, and has a huge, private, comfortable room for you to lay in during your lash session. She is very meticulous with her work, and she will take the time to make sure your lashes look beautiful. She has been trained by a Celebrity Lash Extension-er (if that's the term), using a different and more effective technique for the extensions. She has always been able to squeeze me in despite her busy schedule. My lashes ALWAYS look so beautiful and natural when I leave her place. She uses a great glue that stays at least 2-3 weeks, that you CAN get wet (disclosure: I'm not saying go diving, surfing, or scrub your face off in the shower. But, my lashes have graciously stayed on after 2 weeks, with 1 week in pools/oceans of Riviera Maya, MX).
