I saw all the negative ratings given to the West Saginaw Store of Eyemart Express and was very surprised. I have bought my inexpensive progressive lens eyewear there multiple times (6 pairs of glasses) and always got more than my money's worth. I recommend getting metal or slightly more expensive frames when they are on sale because they are more sturdy. :-) About a year ago I met Dr. Clement Nwadozi who had just taken over as the optomotrist at that location. I have purchased glasses for years at Pearl Vision, and more recently SVS and also online multiple online outlets. I have to honestly say that Dr. Nwadozi is very polite, seems concerns about my eyesight, and has insight into eye health and related issues that goes beyond what I have seen in prior optomotrist providers. I continue to go to Eyemart Express, they accept my insurance, and because my eyevision changes from time to time, when my benefits are expired for the year, I can still go to Eyemart Express and purchase a new pair/prescription if necessary. Highly recommended. You get what you pay for, but more than you pay at this location. Most of the front room (customer service) representatives have been very polite and patient with me. They would not replace lens in a pair of glasses I liked that I had purchased online elsewhere several years ago, but I can understand the reason that is their policy... read more

I was sent an email about the issue of terrible quality and service. Apologizing say they would talk to the staff. The staff only last about a few months and then they are no longer there. They said they would talk to the employees and give me 50% off glasses and lenses. Not putting lenses in the glasses that they change the screw on and then would no longer repair. Those glasses are no longer made. So therefore I am still out my favorite pair of glasses for something they did to begin with! THEY CHANGED THE FRICKING SCREW NOT ME!!!! So I get half off another pair NOT THE ONE I NEED THE NEWER PRESCRIPTION IN THAT THEY CAN NO LONGER GET!!!!! I do have 3 pairs from them that the lense got foggy 6 months after purchase. I had an appointment for one day I was there and one receptionist told me she couldn't find me in computer so she scheduled me for the following week and I show up that day and a different person was there and she tells me I was scheduled for last week I told her I was there and she says no I say right here you never showed my mom n I sat there and told her we were there she sat there called the two of us a liar and we said no I was there and she scheduled me for the next week and the girl kept up calling us liars so we just left ill never make any kind of appointment there ever again they just suck... read more

My husband and I had the most incredible experience. He had bought glasses from the store a year back and had nothing but great things to say. That's why I was shocked to see the one-star rating. We were helped by Victoria, who was PHENOMENAL! The store unfortunately didn't accept our insurance, but Victoria helped by providing us with the proper reimbursement paperwork. She also told us about the great deal they had on buying two sets of frames. I really can't say enough good things about Victoria. She was super patient and cheerful, even when the store was filling up with customers. We plan on making this our go-to eyewear store. Bought progressive lenses and readers, the readers were made incorrectly and I couldn't read anything. Took them back within minutes of pick up. The manager was condescending and absolutely rude and argued that it was the distance I was holding my reading material. After 10 minutes of her disagreeing with me she finally looked up my order only to realize they used the distance lenses not the reading lenses. They were in fact made incorrectly and I was right. Not once did the manager apologize, and in fact continued to be rude, and then I had to wait two days because they close early Saturday and are closed Sunday. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy!! I would gladly pay more for glasses if the customer service was even a portion better than these people!! read more

Made the trip in, waited for my turn which took a while even after one of their clerks looked at frames and said yes. Came time for me and another person said oh we can't do those! I would actually give a negative or no stars. When I walked in they asked if I was there for a pickup. I responsed no, I'm here to look for new glasses. The response was OK women's are over on that wall. No one came from behind the desk to assist. I picked out a pair of frames and asked if I could get a quote on complete pair of glasses. The 1st two people totally ignored me even though I was standing right in front ot their counter. I moved further down to where another associate was. I asked him if I could get a quote on glasses. He then proceeded to look for a price sheet, which apparently his 'own' sheet had been moved. The other 2 associates who had totally ignored me told him someone else had moved it to the back. He finally found another one, asked single or bi-focal, OK it will be $$. Didn't look at the frame I had picked out so I'm not sure how it was an accurate prices. I then had to prod for other pricing to include tint, etc. I left and went elsewhere and had glasses ordered. A place where they actually come out on the floor and assist you. They also advertise they accept VSP, which they don't. You have to pay out of pocket and submit your own claim. This is not accepting the insurance. Accepting is participating and accepting the insurance payment as payment for the services. read more
