I've been a patient for about 3 years now and I like it here. The doctor's pretty thorough in his exams and he explains anything and everything. The staff is very nice and professional. The prices are pretty competitive with other places. I never have to wait long and it's a nice clean environment. This is a good place to go for glasses especially if you have a family because I can see Dr Lorand interacting with kids. He's a very nice guy. I came looking to get an eye exam and glasses The office is so cute and welcoming the energy from everyone in the front was amazing they were so kind and helpful! The eye doctor was even nicer! She took her time and didnt rush me at all during the exam! They had a lot if glasses the choose from and they even offer blue light lenses and payment plans I genuinely loved my experience and will definitely be coming back! Finding an eyewear provider and eye doctor for my mom had been full of unpleasant surprises and challenges. I had been given the name of a provider by my mom's case worker, but it turned out that the actual glasses store, which actually shared a space with the eye doctor we were referred to, did not accept my mom's insurance. So frustrating! I used my mom's insurance app to seek out a provider that accepts her insurance, and the frustration continued. Upon reaching out to some of the listed providers, I was told that they in fact did NOT accept my mom's insurance. I finally asked one if they knew of a provider in the area who accepted my mom's insurance, and was given the name of this practice. So far, my experience has been only with the eyewear and office staff, but based on the stellar service we received, my husband and I will be going back for our own eye exams and glasses going forward. The staff is everything: knowledgeable, efficient, accommodating, and friendly. The vibe was upbeat and truly welcoming. I wish I could name all of the individuals with whom we interacted, but the only two I know by name are Tyler and Melissa. Both are great listeners and offered helpful and proactive responses to my questions. I feel that the selection is quite varied both in price and style. Customer service during the selection process was extremely helpful in giving us options that met our budget. Turnaround time was about two weeks. After trying a few different places in search for glasses, I stopped into Eyenstein's to check it out since it's close. Immediately upon walking in, we were greeted by Danielle, who was just awesome. She definitely has a firm grip on great customer service. She tried to help me find the style I liked (which proved to be a little tricky) and eventually asked for assistance from Melissa who was also a huge help. Both the girls were so nice and patient with me as I was a bit picky in choosing a pair. I finally decided on a pair and they told me I could pay half now and half when I pick them up, which could be a huge relief for people that are financially struggling. So huge plus there. Overall my experience was extremely positive. I felt very comfortable and welcome. Unlike a few other places I checked out. I didn't feel rushed what so ever, even though I felt like I was taking forever. I would definitely go back in the future for glasses & I would 100% recommend them to everyone! read more

I hate to give out; The optometrist Sophia and the rest of the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable on time with my appointment, and my glasses were as I ordered. That's about are my positives. My exam was over within 30 minutes. I needed a routine eye exam; I hadn't received one in several years. I have single vision. I was planning to buy my eyeglasses online like I've purchased my last 8-10 pairs over the past 6 years (They are remarkably cheaper online). As I was about to leave the optician's chair, I asked for my pupillary distance (PD) on my prescription. This is needed to measure the distance between your pupils and is not always included on your typical prescription. With your PD and rx, you buy your eyeglasses at any retailer. Opticians don't always include it but several states (Massachusetts do require opticians to include in your prescription. Sophia, my optician, calmly said, oh I think there's a small fee for it, but I don't know, ask the front desk. So, I did. They charge $40 to measure my PD if I didn't buy my glasses from here. FOH. I should have walked out right then (in the end my PD ended up being exactly the same than when I measured it myself a few years ago!). I have insurance now which gives me $130 to spend on frames, so I hastily thought, it wouldn't much more than it would be online. Let me look around. Without insurance, their cheapest frames are $150 (that does not include the lenses). Despite my insurance, I ended up paying ~$100 more than I typically spend online even with cheaper lenses (I didn't get progressives that change in sunlight, no extra coatings, etc). I was the only customer here at the time of my visit so the assistant doted on me with full attention as I tried pairs on. The personal service was good. I could try on pairs in store, see how they looked in a mirror, feel how they'd sit on my face. But the pricing..oof. I felt like a sucker, honestly. I had hoped that since I'm order locally, I'd be able to receive them quicker than if I would purchase them online. Nope; they had to send them away and it would take 2 weeks to receive them (same amount of time that it usually takes for regular shipping if you order online through zenni or eyebuydirect). If you want to support your local business, want to try on frames before purchasing them, go right ahead and stop by here, they're friendly. I didn't find it worth it and felt it's a bit disingenuous to charge for the PD. Next time, I'll buy online, save money, and spend the money I saved on other local businesses. read more

I like that they're very strict about having an appointment right now during COVID-19 and don't let people in there to just browse. The staff is very friendly and professional, although the selection of eyeglasses is a bit outdated in my opinion. I've been going back there for the last three years because they take my insurance, but I'm unhappy with the frame selection. They have also been great about giving me free samples of contacts when I was considering that. They do not confirm appointments via phone, text, or email consistently, so the last time I had an appointment I missed it even though it was in my calendar and had to wait a few months to get in again. They are backed up a bit, also due to COVID-19. I got my eye exam there, but I'm taking my prescription elsewhere to find more fashionable frames. read more

Had a $200 pair of Rayban sunglasses that's broke by popping the lens out in a wild day of partying (still not sure how it happened). I went in and was immediately helped by a nice gentleman...he took it in the back and popped it right back in at no charge. Inside is nice, clean and organized... Have already wrote one review of my experience when I went for my examination and picked out my frames. Then I went to pick up my glasses. They were done two weeks earlier than they said they would be and that was great So I walked in and a man asked me why I was there and I told him and he had me sit at one of the tables and went to retrieve my glasses from the back. He came back with my glasses and a cheap pouch case. From that point on he offered no assistance at all. Not to check if the frames fit my face. Not even to comment how they looked. He seemed to want to be somewhere else. I was still looking at them in the mirror after only a few seconds mind you when he stood up dismissively and said okay have a great day. Worst experience ever! I really cant believe after being talked to and mistreated so bad because of asking questions, I still paid my hard earned money to this establishment. They really need to make sure they correct some of the employees they hire before you put them in a customer service position. I used to go to this location when it was called Johnson Optical. Now that it is Eyenstein's I recently went here to get fitted for contact lenses. The doctor has been professional, the staff has been more than accommodating and I am very pleased with the level of service I have received here. When I found that I could not wear the soft lenses that had been made for me they had no problem ordering some hard contacts. When the left contact didn't correct my vision properly they had no problem refitting the lens. So far I am quite happy with Eyenstein's. The moment I walked in I felt welcomed!! I was greeted and politely asked the services I was was requiring. I had to use the bathroom very quickly so the guy at the front desk show me exactly where it was and made sure my daughter was well taken care of with light snacks to keep her busy while she waited. As soon as I returned the lady who assisted with picking out frames was very knowledgeable about my concerns for my young child and wearing glasses. Both the doctors that I talked to here were very nice and helpful, and really, that's the most important thing, that the doctors are good. The frame selection is really bad, I didn't find any frames I liked, but that's not the end of the world, I can just order frames online for cheaper anyway. The reason I don't want to go back to this place is because their receptionist is so rude. My parents' insurance plan is really confusing, and even the doctors here were puzzled by it. So it took a few days to figure out, and I had to call the insurance company. Then I go back, and I'm trying to figure it out with the receptionist, and she's just becoming increasingly rude to me. I just want to figure out what my coverage is, because the insurance company told me something different than what she's telling me. I'm not trying to be difficult, in fact I was very polite. But she starts acting like I'm accusing her of lying and stealing (which I wasn't! AT ALL!!) and becomes really condescending and aggressive. I brought my father into Einstein's Optical for the second time in 3 years to get new glasses. I wouldn't consider going to any other place!!!!! Terrible customer service. Im still waiting for my glasses, 3 weeks!!! They frown on medicade. DON'T use them if you have medicade. Im disabled and to young for medicare, they blame medicade for long waits on glasses!! I called medicade and they said its NOT them, its the place you go to get the scripts filled...well must I say anymore.
