I had a good experience at first when I met Hamlet and he had a great customer service skill. This was years ago when they were located next to the Honda showroom. I was happy leaving the dealer buying a used car (Honda) many years thinking I got a good deal. He showed the Carfax and everything showed clean. Days later, I noticed many clips to the underneath the engine were missing so the bottome engine cover was detached. I brought it back and Hamlet was nice enough to bring the car to a shop to install the clips. Months later I went to the dealer to service the car and they said a couple of engine mounts were bad causing noise when hitting bumps. To replace them will be expensive. So I ignored it. Also had To replace the the AC compressor. Years later I went to Honda to trade it in. I was shocked when they offer a super low ($5000+ lower) than actual trade in value. I was puzzled and they showed me the carfax report showing there was a major accident about 6 months after I bought the car. Suddenly everything clicked on me. They fixed up the car before selling it to me and before it got reported to carfax. I should have made this review immediately but I didn't. I hope this is an honest mistake/ignorance from their part, but I don't think so... because the price was lower than market when I bought it and when I asked they said because they normally don't sell Honda and want to sell it lower. I don't hold grudge anymore, it happened and has passed. But I just want to give awareness to their future customers to be careful. I know we all need to make money, but I think we all can make money the honest way. read more

My experience here was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. There was absolutely zero pushiness or usual used-car buying sleaziness that happened here. Hamlet, the owner of the place, says he treats his customers the way he'd want to be treated, and that's so true! They freely let me test drive any vehicle I wanted by myself, telling me to take it out for a long drive. They were gracious about every little thing, which felt crazy for being at a used car lot! These guys are car enthusiasts, so all the cars on their lot are very good quality. He encouraged me to take it out for a pre-inspection for my own peace of mind, and when I brought back the report (with only two very minor issues), he was happy to drop the price slightly to account for those two issues. Since my wife was out of town that weekend, I was there by myself, so I had to get my own vehicle home as well as the vehicle I just purchased. Hamlet gladly offered to have his assistant help me get both cars home and and then take a cab back. Everything about the entire experience here was just excellent. Is this place shut down? After reading all the fabulous reviews about LA's Best Auto Sales lot, I decided to check it out. I need a "new" used car and figured I couldn't go wrong at this place. I noticed on Yelp! that the last review was in 2017. I tried calling the place and got their answering machine (so they're at least still paying a phone bill!). When I drove by, clearly, something was wrong. The entire lot was enclosed in a tall, thick black wrought-iron gate and there was no obvious point of entry and no one was around. The thing I found most disturbing, is that every car on the lot was missing a sticker of any type AND they were all covered with dirt! As if they'd been left out in the elements a long time. Shouldn't Yelp! have designated this location as "CLOSED" if it's no longer in business? Now I have to start my search again for a reputable used car dealer! read more

I'm a girl who is fairly new to LA who doesn't have that much serious knowledge about used cars, so I was VERY nervous about car shopping. I bought my Corolla here in August and I couldn't imagine a better experience. Hamlet was very helpful and trustworthy and I'm very happy with my car! Its a small, family place which is a big plus in my opinion. I got a very fair deal on the car itself, and they helped me get the best financing deal possible for a waitress/student who has never made a major purchase before. I felt very comfortable the whole time, and never felt like I was being taken advantage of which was my main fear when I began car shopping. Also, my car was missing the driver's seat sun visor, but I wanted to take it home right away so they ordered the part and I came back 2 days later to have it put on. Very good customer service. This review is long overdue! At the beginning of June, I bought a 2005 Lexus Sportcross with the help of Hamlet. I went car shopping for a 335i for about two weeks trying to get a good deal but I felt like every BMW dealership kept trying to screw me over. 8/6/17 1:22pm I called for information on a car I want to potentially BUY (Corvette Z06). Whoever answers the phone was rude didn't say hello, how can I help you nothing. He told me I had to make appt and I couldn't just stop in. I asked for appt times available M-Sat 8-8pm. I asked for appt, repeated over M-Sat 8-8pm. When I proceeded to tell him that this is the worst customer service I had encountered and that he had been rude, he argued back, yelled profanity and hung up. He then called my phone back and left a fuck you on my voicemail. I will stopping by Monday or expecting a call to make sure this "employee" doesn't do this to any other potential buyers. I had been looking for a 2007 or 2008 Mercedes E-350 when one day I'm driving and see a 2008 E-350 in their lot. At first I was hesitant, since I was a first time buyer, that this dealer was going to try to rip me off. I ended up doing a little research on google and noticed that they had great reviews on Yelp and Cars.com so I decided to just go check it out. I had seen other models at other dealerships and the condition of those cars was honestly crap, that is with keeping the mindset that it is a used car and I can't be too picky. Then I got my chance to see their car and I was blown away with how well the car was kept. When I began to look at the car Hamlet came out and with out hesitation got real with me and started showing me the little and I mean LITTLE dings it had. He then stepped away and let me look and discuss the car with my parents, unlike other hovering car sales men. We were even able to test drive the car with out him going, who does that now in days? Once I told him I wanted it he made the process so freaken simple and went above and beyond with helping me get a great deal on the APR, a cheaper price with there platinum warranty, and so on. Over all I have to tip my hat to Hamlet, he was great and the condition of the car was freaken amazing. This process and conditon of the car was so good that we will go back for future business. Honestly, there was no typical sleazy car lot stuff to deal with and they were honest and went way above and beyond from the first phone call to follow up customer service. They dropped the car off at the BMW dealership without any hassle for a pre-purchase inspection without a deposit, and when we got to the lot they took us to pick up the car from the dealership and let us go on an extended test drive, with the only stipulation being we come back before they close. Of course we loved the car, and when it came to pricing they were fair and upfront about everything. Most unfortunately, the car was totaled by a careless driver backing out of their driveway the next day, but Hamlet personally went to the California DMV and spent hours there to get the title for us to help expedite the process so we could receive the insurance settlement. I have been searching for a BMW M3 for about 3 months in the LA area and I finally found a car that matched my personality at Hamlet's Shop (LA's Best Auto Sales). It is normally always difficult dealing with a salesman in a used car lot from my past experience (I'm sure you know), but this was, by far, the best and easiest experience I have ever had with any car sale. Hamlet was very straight forward and honest about any imperfections in the car (which were very minimal, he seems to have a very nice lot full of high quality and well maintained vehicles). He was admirable enough to also turn down multiple offers for the car when we had only made a verbal agreement and while my funding option took nearly two weeks for approvals; he stuck to his word. Hamlet also found a great option for a load and was able to strike a hell of a deal for my situation.
